I love this store!!! I went in for a few thank you gifts, for some clients. The designer put together a great living room package for me. Needless to say, I am SO excited to decorate the ENTIRE house!!! Great products and impeccable customer service.

Have had 2 bad customer service experiences here. As is typical in retail furniture stores, all of the care goes into getting you to make the initial purchase. Then they drop the ball. Follow up and delivery are a chore(especially if your piece is backordered or delayed in any way… you will never, ever get a straight answer out of anyone… ever). Calls are not returned and the emails you send are not read. The location in NYC is well run and 100% on top of things… this Atlanta location is disorganized, unprofessional, and clueless. Never again.

We have been looking for the perfect couch now for almost 6 months. I knew about Mitchell Gold and have driven by it for years, but we never stopped in because I assumed that everything would be out of our price range. I was pleasantly surprised with how affordable the furniture was and loved the fact you can customize any of the pieces to match your exact taste. They also offered a lifetime warranty on the furniture, which amazing. We ended up purchasing the new couch here and cannot wait for it to arrive!

We found the dining table that we liked online on clearance through our designer, but we contacted the store to purchase it, and consequently got a new one shipped. The customer service was friendly and professional, as was the delivery. The table is beautiful and had so far been great, even with the abuse of a toddler. I would definitely look at their stuff again based on our previous happy experience.

Though based in North Carolina, many pieces are made in China. At a certain price point, this is unavoidable, but MG+BW also afford production savings by simply copying classic designs with the absence of credit given to the real designers from past decades of style. At the time of this review, the Manning series is an example of how direct copies of classic Paul McCobb designs are frequently in their inventory. Make no mistake — this is not inspiration from mid-century — it’s outright copying in every detail. There are also clones of Gerald Thurston lamps(Piper) and Pierre Gauriche chairs(Woody). A specific problem I had with the Atlanta showroom was with the purchase of a reduced price table. I was not buying the floor model itself, which had damage. The sales staff verified that it was in stock and set up a time for me to pick it up from the warehouse. It was a small table, and I wasn’t going to pay the delivery fee to have it brought to the store(who does that?). When I get to the warehouse a couple of days later, I find the damaged floor model waiting for me! Instead of informing me that there was a stock error, they moved the floor model out hoping I wouldn’t notice. I complained and settled for a further price reduction. Though they made it «right,» I’m never buying from them again.

The individual Atlanta store deserves a better rating than the overall quality of the Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams brand. They are very friendly and welcoming. We walked in, were immediately greeted, and later accomodated and helped beautifully. We told them we wanted to furnish our house and asked how they could help us and they immediately offered top notch design services with the owner. They have adorable dogs that add lots of charm to the store. I have been in many times and they don’t deserve a perfect rating because some of their sales people are less than perfect(not smiling, little eye contact, etc.). I also met a stock room person that was down right heinous. But the good majority of them are lovely. If you get the pleasure of meeting the owner– hold onto your heart, because you will fall in love. The store is always very clean and gives lots of ideas about mixing pieces, colors, and patterns seemlessly. The location is wonderful, easy to find, private parking lot or side parking, in the nicest commercial area in the best neighborhood in the city. Regarding the styling of the brand– the style and design is superior to the pottery barn and crate and barrel types. The style is high end, chic, streamlined and modern yet traditional; it blends perfectly with many other furniture and design styles.

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is my favorite interior design store in the area(save a few antique marts that will always be #1 to me). The furniture is sleek and modern without being too trendy. Their pieces go perfectly in my eclectic concoction of traditional furniture, antiques, and modern pieces. The staff is always helpful and I instantly feel at home when I walk in. Love that they are dog friendly… I just wish the pups were there more often! Custom order pieces will give you sticker shock, but their stocked furniture is top notch quality at an accessible price. Wait for the floor sample sales that happen twice a year and you may get an even better steal. As a North Carolina girl, I have lots of love for this NC-based company. So glad it’s only a few blocks away from my Atlanta abode!

Love this store. I’ve taken my dad and husband in here(separate trips) and both of them said they loved almost everything in the store. Stylistically, I’d say it’s mid-century meets transitional. If Pottery Barn is too blah and Room and Board is a bit too mid-century/skinny legs, then Mitchell Gold Bob Williams is the place for you. They have hundreds of fabrics to choose from and their furniture is well-constructed — definitely made to last! I think of their low-end pricing as sort of the high-end of what you’d get at Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel. But the quality and style are so much better! The designs are so. .. smart is the word that comes to mind. They fit in with a number of different styles and looks but each piece is very finished. All the little details are tight. The owners are SUPER nice; one of them(Ben) is an interior designer and offers free design services. He helped me design our great room and had no problem mixing in pieces from other stores. He’ll even take you shopping at Scott’s Antiques. He’s great at helping me understand where to spend and where to save! Finally, I should say that the store itself is a treat. They change their floor display a couple of times a year. They’re family and pet friendly(check out their corporate site; I was blown away by how child-friendly the founders are). They also run good sales several times a year.
