This place is legit!!! Got the brisket sandwich and it was heaven on a plate! Generous amount of juicy, perfectly cooked brisket between 2 buns. Simply delicious!!! Tempura sweet potatoes are basically fried sweet potato rounds. Perfect side for that juicy sandwich! Deff recommend this place

Great brisket and pulled pork! They have a variety of sides from fries, onion rings to pea salad and teriyaki sweet potatoes, varies from day to day. I have tried most of them and have never not liked something here. Portion sizes are also reasonable. Staff always seem busy but are still friendly. I live close by so usually grab’n’go but there is the option to stand at tall tables at the side, the indoor area is pretty small and can get cramped, but this shows the popularity of the place because at peak times there is always a queue out of the door!

It’s different but it’s the best. A Kimchi, pulled pork sandwich and banana pudding to go makes any day better. Make the trip!

Atlanta has some fantastic BBQ. And this place is one of them. The food is addictive! I’ve eaten here three days in a row. Twice for lunch and once for dinner. They serve more BBQ than McDonald’s does hamburgers. And that’s a good thing because the meat does not have time to get cold when pulled off the pit. It’s limited parking and 90% is probably eaten at people’s homes, workplaces, cars or nearby hotels. You can eat outside at the standing tables. I did that twice. If you don’t see a parking spot make a loop and come back by and a spot will open to park. They get you in and out quick. The prices are cheap for what you get too! I got the brisket sandwich twice. It’s like Texas meets Korea. What makes it unique is the sauce. I normally don’t like sauce on my brisket. But what they serve is sauce to the side. I like the Korean spicy sauce. I just pour a little over the top to flavor it. It’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted on brisket. The brisket was mostly from the flat. Not sure if they serve their platters with the point of fattier parts of the brisket. It was very tender and not dried out and tough. The bark is nice tasting too. No reason to over complicate brisket. Just put salt and pepper on it before it goes to the pit like the Texans and let the brisket speak for itself. I also tried the two meat platter. I ordered the ribs which were the Saint Louis cut. Very tender with just the right amount of smoke. I like to taste smoke but don’t want it to overpower the meat because I burp it up for days if it’s too much oak or hickory flavor in it. For the sauce on the side I went with the one they call the table sauce. That worked well with pork. The second meat I got was what they call Korean pork I believe. It was not pulled pork. It was more like cubed money muscle. Kind of like pork burnt ends but cubed smaller. Oh man it was good. I want to be clear I like my BBQ to not have sauce covering my meat. Sauce should be optional on the side. And that’s what this place does. What’s different here is the sauces are unique in and of itself. Normally I don’t get too hung up on sides. Beans and Mac N Cheese are pretty much the same most everywhere. Some better than others. The Mac N Cheese is good here. It’s served with larger pasta shells. It’s pretty good. The Korean cole slaw was different. It wasn’t too sweet and I like that. I got the cumber and radish side and in my opinion that was pretty darn tasty. I wouldn’t think it would work with BBQ but it does. There are some other sides that I’ll have to try next time I’m up here. Like I said Atlanta has outstanding BBQ. A lot of it comes from all different styles and regions of the country. But if you want something different than the normal BBQ give this place a try.

This is a grab and go place. There are tables out, but it’s the standing kind and outside with the heat. There are umbrellas and a huge fan, but it’s not a sit down diner joint. The spicy Korean pulled pork was good according to the bf. It had a sweetness to it that I didn’t particularly like. And other than that, it was covered in excess sauce. I liked the plain pulled pork sandwich better. Though it tasted plainer, you’re able to taste the pork better. Their mac n cheese is yummy though! Parking can be limited, but there are spaces available.

Yum! It’s been a couple of years so since I be last been here. They eliminated the indoor dlseating to make it easier to serve the line and quick crowd this place draws in. Which is appreciated as the parking lot stays packed and its good to limit to outside seating and minimal at that. I got a turkey sandwich and collards side. I didn’t like the collards. and the Turkey had a bit more sodium intake than I was ready for, but the Turkey tasted great and I ate every bite. I’d come back and probably not wait for another two years to pass.

5 stars for the brisket. Been a while since I’ve had actually good moist brisket. Sauces are unique, the Korean sauce is a gopchang sauce a bit watered down from the normal one. The Korean pork is a standard spicy Korean pork with a hint of smoke. Good but not the best. Mac was a standard Mac. I could pass on the Korean sweet potatoes, nothing fancy and didn’t hold the crunch. Still very good bbq hole in the wall.

Amazing sides, but surprisingly I was not a fan of the brisket. I tried the collard greens, coleslaw, fries, sweet potatoes, banana pudding, and brisket. I ordered so much food that they gave me two forks, thinking it was for two people! I tried all the sides so I could properly review this place. I have coworkers that raved about this place, so I’m not sure if the brisket was having an off day or if the other meats are just better. I judge briskets based on whether it is delicious without the sauce. This brisket was ok, but it needed the sauce. That was a little disappointing. The sides are seriously where it’s at. The sweet potatoes are amazing. If you order fries, they give you a ton! They are seasoned with cajun spices that give it a kick. The collard greens were also a favorite of mine. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cole slaw. The banana pudding was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. If you try this place, be warned that everything has a bit of spice. It’s not crazy spicy, but it definitely has a kick. Watch out, it is easy to drive right pass this place. I seriously thought I was in the wrong place at first.

Pretty decent bbq… wish they had beef ribs, but the meat is really tender and juicy. The sauces provided are really delicious as well. My favorite is the HOTLANTA. The mac and cheese mentioned by other Unilocalers is what really brought me here and it really was top notch! Just the perfect flavor not dry or piecey and definitely homemade, craveworthy and worth the trip! Yes the parking isn’t ideal and it’s a stand up and eat hole in the wall kind a nook, but it’s a diamond in the rough that locals and tourist hit up on a regular because it’s just that finger licking good!

Went here on a Saturday about 3−4pm and there was a nice flow never to crowded or empty. The food is great! I got the pork sandwich with the Mac and cheese side. Great Mac and cheese! I would go back just for the Mac and cheese alone. The sandwich was huge full of lots of meat. Without the sauces it doesn’t have much flavor but there are some great sauces to choose from. If you get a side of fries it is A LOT of fries! And they are good. It’s a great walk up order and order spot. There is a little area on there patio where you can stand and eat. No siting. It’s probably better otherwise it would be over crowded with the constant flow. It is located in a place you would easily miss next to a little stop and shop. I think they get most of there business from word of mouth. But it is a great spot that I really enjoy. I wish they had one like this in Orlando I would be here at least twice a month. They have decently priced food with great sides and sauces to eat in or go.

A winning find! Delicious fusion of BBQ and Korean flavors… Don’t mistake this for Korean BBQ– it’s definitely unique! I did try their spicy Korean pork… Not actually very spicy, but extremely flavorful. My only criticism is that the pork, which was in 1″ cubes, wasn’t as tender as I had hoped. It comes with a side of fresh pickled vegetables, with a Korean influence. The people I was with had the same, and we had a variety of sides including the beans, slaw, Mac, and collards. All very well prepared. The collards had garlic and ham in them, giving a different flavor than southern style collards. Definitely try their«hotlanta» sauce– again, not overly spicy, but flavorful with a bit of a kick and a hearty texture. Their sweet tea also had a nice twist– it’s jasmine tea. I will return here for sure! Second visit: Had an item from the daily specials… «El Cowboy» which was hands-down the best Smoked meat sandwich I’ve ever tasted. No exaggeration here! Made from a stack of smoked turkey, chopped brisket, smoked craft beef sausage, cilantro and Vidalia onion on a soft sandwich bun. I added the hotlanta sauce– giving it the perfect kick. My rating went up from 4 to 5 after this!

I had heard this establishment had been on TV as one of the«must eat» BBQ joints in the USA. I didn’t know anything else about the place, so I went in with what I think was an unbiased conception of the place. Product: BBQ meat, fixings, and drinks. I had a brisket sandwich(something I’ll often try at a BBQ I’ve never been to before if I’m eating lunch there and want to compare it to other places I’ve already been). The fare was middling at best and really not much to write home about. The prices were a little steep, but that’s to be expected from some place that has notoriety. 3 stars Service: Reminded me more of a deli than anything else. Countertop service and you pick up your order when ready. The folks working were friendly enough, but it took a bit to get our food. 3 stars Facilities: This eatery shares building space with a convenience store in a rather unremarkable building off one of the highways in Atlanta. It is very difficult to find without intimate familiarity and/or a GPS service. In fact, we made a few wrong turns getting there. Signage was minimal and hard to see from the main road. The inside was rather worn down with a patchwork appearance to it. Seating was primitive and very limited. I don’t know if they were going for a rustic or homey look, but it failed at both. Bathrooms were a little tough to get to and find and of the same quality as the rest of the place. 1 star Overall: This place is all hype, seriously. If you happen to be in the area, by all means, check it out, if you have the time. I would not suggest going out of your way to find this, at best, mediocre BBQ restaurant. I would likely order to go if I ever went again, as this place is just not a «sitting down» establishment.(3 stars, only because the food was decent)

I have always heard this place was great and decided to give it a try for lunch. Wow! This place is not only great, it’s the best BBQ place you can find in the southeast if I do say so myself. I got the Korean BBQ Sandwich with a side of Brunswick Stew and I have to say that was some of the best BBQ and stew I have ever had in the Atlanta area. The pork was extremely tender, and the cucumbers and slaw were so fresh I think they picked the vegetables when I ordered. Service is fast and convenient at the register, and everyone is extremely nice. So there is absolutely no complaints about service here. As for the atmosphere it’s great to me, I love the«hole in the wall» atmosphere. There is not much room to eat outside in their tiny dinning area. But this place is all about the food, and not an amazing dinning experience, and I am perfectly content with that. So waiting for a table or just taking it to go does not bother me at all due to their quality. However! Parking, parking is the biggest letdown with this place. If you go before noon, you should be fine, but if you go exactly around noon, you will have a ton of trouble parking. Overall, I would go again and again, parking and tables are sparse but the BBQ is absolutely worth it.

Damn. This is serious BBQ right here. But first, let me go ahead and lay out all the CON’s to this place. 1. Parking sucks monkey balls 2. Having to stand while feasting on a heavy lunch also sucks monkey balls 3. That RED umbrella caused me a nice Instagram shot of my beef brisket — also sucks monkey balls. I highly recommend coming right at 11am when the doors open so that you can get parking because it gets crazy pack by 11:45ish… I kid you not. That’s always good business but it sucks for the consumers having to find parking and waiting in line to order. I ordered a full rack of ribs with 2 sides and a brisket platter with 2 sides. This ain’t no swanky BBQ place so getting your own ice out of a blue cooler is the norm. The brisket was smokey and tender, I love the sauces that comes with it. I think my favorite was the Korean sauce… I also ordered the baked beans which comes with chunks of meat and cole slaw. They both were equally delicious. Christina K ordered some battered onion rings and they were probably the best I’ve ever eaten. It was super crunchy and not greasy. The rack of ribs were tender and juicy but if I come back, it’ll most likely be for the BRISKETS. I think the prices are decent.

BBQ was excellent! We had the brisket, Korean pork, and pulled chicken. Sides were beans, French fries, Mac and cheese, and my favorite green tomato Kimchi. Portions sides were nice and even though the line was out of the door it went quick. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They take the expression hole in the wall to a new level. It’s a clean nice place, but if you blink you will miss it. The food was so good my wife and I set up shop right there in the parking lot. I turned Netflix on and we had a bbq date right there. That’s what you have to do when you have a sleeping 8 month old in the backseat. They are closed on Sundays and Monday but I understand. You need a break when you are making stuff this good all week! Will go back again!!!

Location: Akers Mill Rd in Marietta by the Walton Apartments Fav Item: The Entire Menu — Positives: This place is amazing. The fusion between Korean and southern BBQ is jaw dropping yet so mind blowing I wish I had thought of it myself. Such a power duo. — Negatives: None — Overall: love it, will be back at least once a month. PS: No seating, w/tall tables, get over it.

Food $ 14. I tried the brisket sandwich with two sides. My two sides were collard greens and mac and cheese. The sandwich it self was pretty good and I’m not a BBQ connoisseur enough to distinguish between this brisket and Fox Bros or Community Q. Honestly I like the sides a little better at Community Q and it’s slightly cheaper but there is more quantity with the sides here. I tried my friend’s wings and they were unique and had a unique flavor albeit a little small on the size. Everything was delicious. Décor Standing tables with umbrellas. It makes me feel like I’m in college. I would prefer seats but I guess their budget went into the food. Working bathroom. Service Good service. Would I come here again? Yes. This place is unique enough to be memorable and delicious enough to be proud.

My husband and I just finished an epic bbq dinner. We ordered the spicy korean pork sandwich and ½ a rib with 3 different sides – collard greens, slaw, and mac n cheese. I can say as a Korean person who lives in the south I am very familiar with the flavors in every dish we ordered. The spicy pork sandwich was delicious. The pork was tender and just juicy enough to compliment the spicy korean slaw. The ribs… mah gawd were they juicy. I had to wipe my hands every other bite. It was just that juicy. The sauces we chose were spicy korean and table mild. Mix the two for an awesome rendition. I like that the ribs dont come smothered in sauce like most places. The side that hit home for us was the collard greens. Only people that are used to cooking Korean foods would know what I’m talking about. It has been cooked in Korean miso soup base for that rich bold flavor you can’t find at any other bbq joints. I’m definitely coming back to try everything else. Mmmmm.

Wow. What an amazing BBQ joint. These reviews don’t lie and I’m happy I found this on Unilocal!A friend got a platter for me to go since it was super packed during the lunch rush. I tried the quarter rack ribs and it was so juicy and mouth watering! Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share of BBQ. The reviews doesn’t lie folks, definitely try a platter to go!

Korean + BBQ at it’s best! We decided to brave the drive from downtown Atlanta to check out Heirloom Market(20 – 30 minutes) and were glad we did! Come early to avoid having to stand in line too long– we got there half an hour after they opened and it took about 15 minutes to order, but only another 5 – 10 minutes to get our food. We tried: –2 Meat Combo(w/Spicy Korean Pork, Brisket, Mac n Cheese, Tempura Sweet Potatoes, Korean & Table Sauces, $ 16, ): The fatty pieces of brisket were really good, although definitely on the saltier side due the intensity of the rub. We just needed a bowl of white rice to eat with it! The spicy pork was really good and flavorful, and both are recommended. The mac n cheese was ok, but nothing special. However, the tempura sweet potatoes were delicious– they had a nice crisp and that gooey sticky consistency. –Sweet n Sour Tofu($ 2.50/Individual, ): Yum, so good! The tofu had a very light batter, but the exterior was still crispy, with the inside soft and fluffy. Recommended! We wanted to try the Smoked Wings so badly, but they only sell them in 1lb quantities, which was a huge bummer. There are 5 different BBQ sauces you could choose from: Table(Classic Mild), Settler(Peppery Vinegar), Korean(Sweet Heat), Kitchen(Spicy Fresh), Hotlanta(Mustardy Hot). You can sample them before you commit and tell them which ones you want. My favorite was the Korean, but the Hotlanta was also interesting/unique. There are not chairs here– only counter level tables you can stand and eat at, but even those areas are limited. There are umbrellas to shade you during those unbearably hot and humid summer months, but it’s definitely sweltering eating on the outside patio area, and there isn’t much space. Despite some of the inconveniences, I’d still highly recommend checking this place out for their unique BBQ. Parking is also really tough since they only have a small lot, but I saw cars parking on the side of the road.
