Wow, this store was a disaster area the last time I visited! My girlfriend needed to return some pants she ordered online, so we ventured in. We were greeted with a store in complete disarray. There were clothes strewn all over the floor. The racks were filled with empty hangers. Piles of garments were everywhere as the staff worked mostly at the checkout line. Beyond the mess, obnoxious music played at high volume. Before you accuse me of being an old man, it wasn’t the volume that offended me It was some kind of pop-Christmas electronic mix that played on loop. Want to hear a dubstep Mariah Carey singing carols? Hop inside Express! Beyond the state of Express, the clothes sucked. The men’s area featured a bizarre suit jacket that looked like it was shellacked in heavy black lacquer. There were piles of sweaters on a table that people bumbled through and left in shambles. I won’t even go into the women’s area… I’ve seen rats’ nests that are in better shape. Why doesn’t this dump get more than one star? They handled the return quickly and the long line kept moving. I wouldn’t come here by choice, either for the store of the fashion. However, the employees were doing their best and it seemed like they were understaffed. Management is probably to blame for most of the clutter, not the individual workers. They were friendly and doing their best.

I’ve never had a problem with this location. I work in Cumberland so I come by this location often. For the most part they always have what I’m looking for, with a few exceptions since this location is pretty popular. The store is always well put together and never a mess like other stores. The employees have always been friendly for the most part… except this one girl that is either seasonal or just started… she always seems pissed off with life. This will always be one of my go-to Express clothing locations. #Yelp100

I went in to the Cumberland Mall Express yesterday. Most of the store associates were fine, EXCEPT one female who I’m guessing may have been a supervisor or shift lead based on the way she was speaking to the register clerks. She was rude and clearly a control freak. She comes up to me while I was standing in line and brusquely tells me that I’m not standing in the right place and to move(literally 1 foot or less to the left) where some floor arrow started. It was so unnecessary seeing as everyone else in line was clear that I was at the start of it and all were orderly standing behind me in single file. I’m thinking to myself: Really, while everyone else in there is busting their butts hanging things and greeting and ringing customers up… you’re corralling the 3 people in line to some da*# arrow on the floor? Ridiculous

I like this location because the front display changes often. The cashiers are always quick and there is never a wait for the dressing rooms.
