Farmers Basket

Re-​heated Chinese food with some southern food choices… all very salty, greasy, and overcooked. Bleh. A typical food court option, nothing more.

BEWARE OF THE TODAY’S SPECIAL!
One lovely Friday afternoon I visited Cumberland Mall and noticed there was a line @Farmers Basket! Featuring the «today’s special» 3 chicken selections and two sides $ 6.58. Impressed with the offer and selections and the customers in line. I gave it s shot.
While eating I noticed the chicken had an old re– refrigerated taste, but it was drenched in sauce so I couldn’t decipher where the strange taste was coming from. The next day I woke up sick as a dog, throwing up, bloated stomach, pooping like crazy. Went to the doctor, FOOD POISONING! I filed a complaint with the mall, the manager called back n offered a gift certificate for more food, really? This place recycle the food– you may get lucky one day with fresh food, but it’s the luck of the draw. I would not recommend any eat at this place.

Food:
Soul food has never been so easy! Everything they have is delicious. I usually get a half order of the Charbroiled Chicken and Sauteed Chicken. The chicken tenders, meat loaf and Salisbury steak are all yummy too! For my sides I usually get the okra and southern style green beans. On occasion I get the mac and cheese or the mashed potatoes and gravy (good but not as good as your Grandma’s!)
I go for the heavy items and sides. They also have healthy vegetable items. Steamed green beans, corn, black eyed peas, grilled chicken.
Service/​Price/​Etc.:
They’re super fast. Cost is $ 6.36 for a meat and two sides. They scored a 98 on their health score.
Next time you’re at Cumberland Mall check this place out! Your stomach and your wallet will thank you!

Best Fast Food Ever! I discovered Farmers Basket in Lenox Mall and became addicted to this place. They’re food was always consistent no matter the location. So I was beyond thrilled when I found out there was one in Cumberland. They never disappoint. My usual is the sauteed chicken which is more of a chicken nugget with a honey glaze. Be sure to get your home made barbeque, honey mustard, or hot sauce. You won’t be disappointed. They mac and cheese is cheesey and delicious, and the yams had the right amount of sweetness. I’ve also tried the new potatoes and they were great as well. It’s $ 6 (doesn’t include a drink) well spent!

Love this place! Staff is friendly and service is efficient. Food always looks fresh. It’s the first place I go to when I get hungry while shopping at the mall. You get a lot of «bang for your buck». I always order their crispy chicken tenders, cheesy mac and cheese, and fresh warm corn. Their meals are the best meals I’ve had at the mall.
