This place has great pieces of art, candles, bedding, lamps and a lot more! Customer service is great as well!

Manzanita replaced Blue Heron over a year ago and is a sister store to Flower Tyme. I still miss Blue Heron(and Jim who had retired) as it offered art in style and price point that both Gayle and I loved. However, both Gayle and I found that there was a lot to like and enjoy here.

Manzanita has moved in where the Blue Heron was. It is related to Flower Thyme on the Plaza, which we have always liked. It doesn’t have much of an online presence yet; I couldn’t find it on Google to learn the phone number or the website address when writing this review and there doesn’t seem to be a mention of it on the Flower Thyme site. Nina and I went in to the shop today and were greeted by Cindy. I told her we were grieving the Blue Heron and she said she was too. As we had surmised, Jim had retired. Cindy told us that he and his wife had moved to Indiana, where his wife has family. We looked around the gallery and there was a lot to like, from artfully assembled wooden floor mats to metal wall adornments to ceramics that were both functional and attractive. There were beautiful glasses from a family owned company in South or Central America, maybe Guatemala. I admired a pair of hand forged stainless salad servers that were light, nicely balanced and graceful and Nina bought them for me as a belated birthday present. As we were getting ready to check out, Nina noticed some lovely French dish towels and one of them was in just my colors, so I bought it. Nina said prices were even better for them than in France. By the time we left the gallery I felt at peace w/the closing of the Blue Heron and look forward to visiting Manzanita again, because a gallery like that gets better and better w/repeated visits.
