Good place in the area for Korean food… REAL Korean food. I like kimshee and I did not get enough, the cook over heard me say that I would have liked more and he brought me a little extra in a small dish at no extra charge. Staff was pleasant and efficient. The bulgogi was good and so were the tofu udon noodles. We will be back to try other items on the menu!

I am no means a Korean food expert, but after living in Korea for a year and living near Los Angeles’ Koreatown, you can say I have a taste for good Korean food. Stopping for Asian food in Ashland, Oregon didn’t seem like a good at idea at first, but after some more thought, we figured, what Joe-​American-​Shmoe in a tiny town in Oregon is going to try imitating Korean food? We figured, the owners had to know a thing or two about Asian cuisine. And they sure did. My fiancé, who also lived in Korea, and I were not disappointed. It wasn’t the best place to eat, but I did leave fairly satisfied. We had the galbitang and the dolsot bibimbap. Yum and yum.

Lee’s is probably the second best Asian restaurant in Ashland after Tarako. It’s not great, but it’s definitely not bad– there is a lot to enjoy here.
This is my second time here. This time, I tried the bento box. They were nice enough to sub the veggie tempura with potstickers, which were generic. I mean, it’s not hard to mess up a potsticker, so these were perfectly adequate and I ate them all. I got the teri chicken, which again was average. Next time, I will definitely go with the spicy pork. The bento also had a California roll that was fresh and delicious, and a great little salad with a creamy ginger dressing.
My sweetie always get the bibimbap here; it smelled delicious and while he said it was better last time we came, he still ate every last bit of it and enjoyed it all.
The service here is hit or miss. This past visit it was excellent. I like this place overall– I think the sushi is worthy and they can make it authentically spicy if you request it. It’s not mindblowing food, but for Ashland, it should satisfy you.

I remember years back when I lived in LA’s Koreatown, and how it felt like you couldn’t go a block without seeing a Korean BBQ joint. Now, here I am, stuck in the cultural wasteland of southern Oregon, and there are precious few Asian dining options to be found (or people of Asian descent, for that matter). I realize how much I took that variety and diversity for granted!
Anyway, Lee’s isn’t the most authentic restaurant around, nor is it the least expensive. But given how miserable the options are around here for Asian cuisine, it’s acceptable. You’ll take your beef bulgogi and jasmine rice and be happy some foolio in the next booth isn’t asking for mar far chicken and pink sauce.
Beef bulgogi, as mentioned, pretty tasty (but on the sweet side). Chicken yakisoba was also tasty, but wasn’t thrilled on what were obviously pre-​packaged noodles being used. Service was lightning-​fast — our dishes were ready within a few minutes of ordering.
So if you’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in any of southern California’s Asian enclaves, Lee’s will leave you wanting. But take solace in the fact that for the area, it’s actually quite nice in that context.

I ate here about a week or two ago and this food was really good.
Being that I am from Hawaii I am big on Korean Cuisine. I was very happy when the food came with bean sprouts and kim chi, as well as cucumber kim chi.
The waitresses are also very polite.
I ate the spicy grilled chicken. I like how they ask how spicy you would like the food, and the food was ready very quickly.
I would go back again, it is a sit down place with a good décor.

Authentic Korean food (try the soft tofu soup but you might ask for Medium spicy)

A bit sweet, but hey, its Southern OR not Oakland CA, maybe that’s what the market wants
The Korean «side dishes» were a bit small in quantity, but again, very, very tasty. I especially loved the red pickles and pickled octopus bits
There is still quite a bit of the previous Mexican restaurant décor left over but I imagine that will change over time
Compared to the miserable state of Asian food in Ashland, this place is a welcome addition to the Asian food dining scene. Its the only place I will eat Asian food when I am there for my annual play pilgrimmage

I want to start out by saying the food isn’t bad but… our food was very average, I had the pork bulgogi and I didn’t get any leafy greens with it, just a fork and some rice and some other sides, I was disappointed that I didn’t get any Kimchi side dish.
The others had a Bento box and the Spicy shrimp stir fry. The food was not spicy enough, everyone agreed there was too much sweetness to our dishes which made it seem like your typical watered down Chinese-​American fare. The food seems a bit over priced. Also the music playing was too loud. (I was satisfied with my ! (Korean Rice Wine). ^^ hahaha)
Overall it is just OK. I will try another place for a decent Korean meal, which so far I can make far better at home and make sure I can have plenty of Kimchi. ^^. I was looking for a more authentic Korean meal. While the food is good it wasn’t what I wanted.

Well… what to say? Maybe it was an off night.
Family members wanted to eat here & Korean sounded great to me. After reading the reviews here I had my hopes up.
I must say that the staff was great & really friendly, but the food? welllll…
I ordered their dol sot bibimbap, which usually serves as a sort of gateway drug to korean food if youve never tried it before. I dont usually order bibimbap anymore when I eat korean, but was in the mood for it that night.
Miso soup came as an accompaniment to the bibimbap. Wayyyyyy too salty/​too much miso! I had to thin it out with some of my drinking water. Plus even though its a Korean-​Japanese restaurant, I still found it odd that when I ordered a Korean dish I received a Japanese app.
Ok, on to the bibimbap. Bibimbap (dol sot or regular) usually has sesame oil at the bottom with the rice. None here. Veggies are usually seasoned (basically banchan on top of rice). The veggies here & the meat had no or little seasoning, some were raw, or barely blanched, which was sort of normal.
But it was Really strange actually, having unseasoned rice & unseasoned veggies for bibimbap. So I ordered some kimchi & threw it in there along with the usual gochujang type sauce sauce.
I really wanted to like it… but I spend a significant number of weeks in korea every year for my work… so this was a train i just couldnt get on.
However, I would still be willing to give it another chance next time Im in town.

Very good Korean and Japanese food and great service. I have eaten at a lot of Korean restaurants and this one is one of the best. Hands down.

We’ve eaten here a couple times not, including tonight. My favorite sushi spot in Ashland; the food is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly, and the general feel of the place is super easygoing and casual.
We ordered the Monkey Brains (half an avocado stuffed with spicy tuna (raw) and crab meat, deep fried in tempura and topped with Lee’s special sauces, served on a bed of either finely shredded cabbage or some other vegetable I can’t figure out!) and the Rockstar sushi roll (the spicy tuna roll arranged in a circle on its plate, with a pile of deep fried baby lobster in the center, also topped with more delicious sauce). The Lion King roll is also deliriously good!
I’d like to try other things on the menu; there’s a great selection and so far nothing we’ve had is bad.

As good as it get! Ordered the broiled mackerel n it’s soooo fresh n tender! Crispy skin grilled just right ! N it comes wiv side dish n it’s Delish ! Will def stop by if ever in town again :)

The sushi options here are tasty and fairly affordable, though the building itself is in a questionable state of disrepair and needs to be updated. It’s dark, dank, and still boasts the Mexican color scheme from the last leaser.
I couldn’t help but notice the strange location of Lee’s Cuisine. It’s located directly across from it’s top competitor, Bonsai Teriyaki. Given the choice, I would probably choose Bonsai, as it at least appears to be a little cleaner. I may reconsider once Lee’s location is renovated a little.

My wife and I checked this place out for lunch today. We are big fans of their Sushi place in Medford and I really enjoyed the Korean I had tried in San Francisco, so I talked her into coming.
My wife just had the Bento lunch with Teriyaki Chicken but I had the Spicy Pork. My wife really liked hers and they even made some California Rolls without the sesame seeds just the way she likes it. Mine I had never had before but it will be an instant favorite. It was delicious! I am kind of a hear wuss and the spicy was just right.
The portions were pretty good size but the price was maybe another dollar or two more than I am used to. The quality was there for the increase so I let that slide.
Sadly they didn’t serve the famous Korean sides with the lunch portions. Bummer :(

Been coming here religiously since they first opened. Best Asian food for a good price in Ashland. Love the bento box, the beef bulgogi, and the rolls are delicious! Personally a huge fan of the Hollywood Roll. Definitely better than Hana or Bonsai, I’m a Lee’s addict.

I am pretty impressed. So far this is one of the best Sushi places I have found in the Ashland/​Medford area. I recently moved to the area from Reno NV (who knew that a desert would have some of the best Sushi). It has been hard to find a place that has Sushi rolls like they do in Reno, I do miss seeing Crystal Shrimp on the menu (no one seems to use that here).
The Chef’s specials that I have tried here so far make me want to come back to try more. The Cherry Blossom, Monkey Brain, Hollywood, and the Mount Ashland were all very tasty. Seems like most of the rolls are fried however the Cherry Blossom was very fresh. A little pricey but good, It would be nice to see some all you can eat sushi prices, I guess that is another Reno thing. I will be going back for more.

Wow. One of the best meals I have ever had. Seriously. I will always eat here when Ashland.
For two of us, we ordered #14 & 15, a scallop role and hamachi nigiri. The sushi items were fresh and super tasty. The other two items were Korean and number #15 was amazing!
I can’t wait to go back to Ashland!

Had several more meals here and the korean food continues to be very good. I wish they had more Jigae (denjang, kimchi chigae, ahl jigae (fish egg stew)) and mae eun tang.
We also had the sushi. Hot night roll was excellent. However, the mochi roll and something else — I can’t remember had too much sauce on it. I always forget to say «light on the sauce» because many japanese places tend to drench the sushi in sauce… I can’t stand that.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I received everything I asked for without feeling bad for asking for it. So the service: Excellent!
Food: puts bonsai to shame. I’m so stoked I never have to go back there. :)
Beef bento had zero fat which bonsai always has.
Red snapper tempura was awesome! Great sauce. :)
I haven’t had the sushi yet but next time I’ll give it a shot.

Oh. My. God. Ashland gets a Korean restaurant? And it’s really good? I could die happy.
I guess this place recently moved in after that Mexican restaurant closed. It’s right across the way from Rite Aid.
The staff was very friendly. Someone was there to open the door and greet us as we arrived and we were even offered some free kim chee (very good, btw). I ordered #19, the rice cake and dumpling soup and it was the best part of my week. The rice cake is pleasantly chewy-​doughy and the broth is extremely flavorful. Perfect on a cold day!
My mom had the salmon bento, which was excellent. My dad had the beef bento, which he said was okay.
Anyway, good service, good food. I will definitely be back to try out more of their dishes. Also, they have free wifi, so I can come and study and pig out on sushi!

I love Korean food! The spice, the garlic, the flavors… A treat that is not to be missed.
Until now, I had to go to San Francisco, or other major west coast metro areas to indulge in this Asian cusine.
Last night my wife, myself, and some friends tried the newly opened and, for us, eagerly awaited Lee’s Cuisine. They serve sushi (the owners used to own Bonsai Sushi) and Korean food.
I love spicy Korean pork and ordered that for myself, and my wife and friend ordered the seafood bi bim bahp.(rice, seafood, and egg served in a heavy stoneware bowl that is sizzling hot) My other friend ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box which is very similar to the ones offered at Bonsai.
The food came quickly and my pork was delicious. It is served with a Korean sides, pickled potatoes, kimchi, and fishcakes. There is also Korea spicy sauce provided which I love. I think I poured about a third of the bottle on my food as a good sweat and sinus clearing developed! The pork is also served with rice. I can say that it was delicious (the meat was tender and spiced well) and it is served on a sizzling iron platter.
My wife loved her Bi Bim Bahp and our friends were pleased with their food as well.
Service was fast and friendly. I did not notice if they offer alcohol yet.
We will see the crew of Lee’s again in the near future; Bravo!
