This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hallways were full of debris and smelled like smoke. The rooms had discarded sunflower seeds, a ring around the tub, damp used towels hanging on the door, and a facet that wouldn’t shut off. So gross and dirty. Comfort Inn Inc. should be embarrassed to have this property in their family. Avoid at all costs!!!

Stayed here coming back from our vacation in Hilton Head. I travel for my job so I stay in hotels quite a bit, and this was by far the worst, most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re not a smoker, you’re in for a treat. The smell of smoke is incredibly nauseating, and it’s worse when you sleep because it’s in your pillows and blankets. And the other poster on here is correct in that there are tons of bugs. I did see a few cockroaches and other bugs that I wasn’t familiar with. There also was a urine-stained mattress sitting out in the hallway next to our room. It looked like they were«renovating» the room next door and hadn’t yet thrown it away. The hotel staff is beyond rude. The desk clerk made a mistake and double charged me for one night’s stay. When I talked to them about it, they refused to credit one night back on there and told me it was my problem to deal with. When I pressed them further, they tried get back at me by putting a third night on my credit card. I wrote a letter to the owner and called them(no response) and planned on calling the local PD for fraud of my credit card. However, we tried one last time to call the hotel and ask them to cancel two of the three payments on my card, and we were lucky to get a guy who was very helpful(not the woman we dealt with in the first place). He took care of us. Thanks to that guy for his help, but I will sleep in my car before I ever stay here again.

Stayed again Sept 2013. Still a 2 star ATBEST. Carpets dirty in hall. Funky smells abound, especially in exit on west side of building. I use a CPAP machine for sleep and when I got home that wreaked something awful from all that air from there going through it. Had to throw out a new filter it was so bad. Problem– They don’t turn on the phone!!! They ask a credit card, and enter that, so you would think they turn on the phone but they don’t. I cant call out. Cant dial an 800 #. Girl says I need to pay $ 10? What? So I go get the phone in car with pay by the minute and use that. I ask next day whats up with that? She says I need a credit card on file. I DID have. She said why did you not call the front desk. I DIDDOTHAT. Still to no avail. I think the help is to busy chit chatting and waiting to run out and smoke they don’t take the time to listen to their customers needs. Only thing going for it is its cheap and easy on I 40. Second time second day lady turns on the phone. If you have a card on file, and Im a gold choice priv. member… not that that matters really… why do they make it SO difficult?

Stayed here one night last week. It was the least expensive hotel in the area, and honestly, I don’t know what the other hotels have that this one doesn’t. The room was clean and nice. It had a decently-sized flat screen TV, a fridge, and a microwave. I’d definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Asheville.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in Asheville NC and needed an affordable place for two nights. Pretty inexpensive but you get what you pay for. No frills hotel though room was clean and staff was friendly. Room décor and bed spread is out dated and bathroom was old. Overall good for what you pay for and I would stay here again if I needed a room and was on a budget.
