If you like Christmas, or you had a tradition of finding local ornaments in every place that you visit for your tree at home, this is a must visit while in the Asheville /Biltmore Mansion area. This is a small tiny little place that can be a easily lost in the back streets of what seems like a Bavarian village, so don’t fret if you can’t find it right away. Once you do locate it, you’ll be welcomed by a Christmas miracle with trees, ornaments and other regalia surrounding you. Make sure to chat with the workers as they are as nice and sweet as a Christmas Cookie. After a little searching, we found a $ 20 ornament to add to our collection. After your exploration of the chain stores, visit this place and relive your childhood.

Hubby and I have visited this shop for seriously more than 25 years. Always a fun window browse while in Asheville, one of our favorite getaways, and there’s always something we have to take home with us. Nice ladies work here, and some of their items are made my locals as well. You don’t visit a year round Christmas shop for deals… but you do try and find that one perfect thing for your holiday décor, and I’ll just bet that they have something you need right here. If you don’t mind climbing a few stairs, their linen selections are always up there and if they have a sale section, that’s where it will be.

Of all the places to browse through in Biltmore Village in February, this was one of my favorites. It’s right smack in the middle of the historic looking shopping area. Olde World Christmas Shoppe sports a host of holiday decorating ideas for children of all ages — guitar ornaments, lighting arrangements, very unique ornaments of all sizes and shapes. There’s something for everyone, here, and this is the place where I spent my money while visiting Asheville for a weekend.
