As far as parking decks in Asheville goes, this one is the most centrally located.
Don’t be fooled by the open spaces on the first level as you drive in, they’re reserved for police vehicles servicing the auxiliary station connected to this parking deck.
The deck is regularly patrolled by Asheville parking services, making it safe and secure.
The best part about utilizing the deck versus street parking is the fact that the first hour is free! Boom!

This is our favorite parking garage in Asheville. It’s away from the crowded downtown area, but still just a couple of blocks away for an easy walk to the restaurants and shops. Spaces are also wider than in the garages closer to downtown, and the aisles are more spacious for two-​way traffic. We were able to park there for free on a Saturday afternoon. The signs said it was $ 1/​hour, but I believe they only start charging this fee on Saturdays after 6pm, since we only had to pay when we returned later for dinner.

This is a 650 space parking deck located between the Bank of America building and the County Health Center off of College Street. Seven stories tall with stairs and and elevator. At the moment, it’s $ 1 per hour to a maximum of $ 8. Technically, you’re not supposed to enter the structure unless you are parking there, but on a Sunday morning I could not resist the opportunity to take the elevator to the top level and get some fab pictures of the Asheville skyline and the mountains in the distance.
