Avoid this hellhole like the plague. The service is so bad they must actively be trying to be incompetent. After an hour we still sat with no food whatsoever. It is borderline impressive how pathetically bad at their jobs they are.

Want to get drunk? This is the place. Drink special early. Party hardy at night. Food is inconsistent. Depends on the chef for the night. Prices reasonable.

Went in, sign said seat yourself. Sat down, waited 10 minutes, left. Never saw a waiter. 7 pm on a Sunday, but still. If I were the owner I would be pissed.

Delicious Irish food, fresh, it wasn’t crowded at the dinner side, the bar and poker tables were full. The food was very authentic, the service was alright. The portions were normal not so big. We tried: the beef short ribs, leak and potato soup, chicken quesadilla was an option and bangers and mash. All amazing, with a nice Guinness.

Pretty disappointed in this place today. My co-workers and I came for lunch and each got pretty much the same thing. Well, on my chicken Cesar wrap as soon as the waitress placed it down I saw a long thick black hair sticking out of it. Appetizing. Well, I decided that side was a loss and opened up the other one to discover, I assume the other half of the big thick black hair. I immediately almost lost my tater tots… I had eaten a few tater tots because I WAS starving when I got there, it’s now 7 pm and I still feel sick to my stomach thinking about my potential lunch of hair. The waitress was very nice and got me a new wrap. I just can’t get over that huge hair, needless to say, I’m not going back here for a long long time.

Super friendly staff. I come here all the time. Food is great for a bar. Specials all the time.

Poker and trivia nights are fun, however the food is really terrible. Awful, not really edible at all. So do yourself a favor. If you are going to Finnegan’s, head to the Ashburn Pub first for food…

Good food. Good drinks. Nice staff. Good menu options. My go to place in Ashburn with the family and friends.

This place was pretty good. It’s nothing more than a bar though. Don’t expect great food. But if you’re looking for a good Irish pub this will definitely do the trick.

Honestly, this place blows. The food is mediocre at it’s best and after chatting with the employees I learned a lot of terrible things about how the owner Bob ran this place.(Rounding off the cook’s pay checks so they can’t get the hours they worked, plussing up his staff before St Patrick’s Day and then firing employees after he was done using them for the holiday with no warning and trumped up charges so they can’t file for unemployment, encouraged sexual harassment on the job, etc) Even though the bar is decent and Kristina, a bartender here, is a saving grace if there ever was one… I can’t give a place that is ran with such a morally corrupt owner anything more than one star. I would not recommend coming here unless you like knowing you are supporting the abuse of employee wages and rotten firing practices.

Went in here on a Sunday evening to watch some football with a few friends. I had never been there before, but they offered dinner, so I agreed and went along. It was pretty loud, especially after touchdowns or big plays, but that’s expected from a bar. It was nice how they had every game on in every corner, so you didn’t really have to keep turning heads. There were 4 of us(1 kid, 3 adults). I got the Pulled Pork sandwich special, which for $ 10, wasn’t as big as I was hoping. It was really good, though. Not fatty, very juicy, and a fresh bun. Others at the table got mac n cheese, chicken tortilla soup, and a quesadilla. The soup had a ton of jalapenos, but other than that, everybody loved everything. The chips are the typical homemade bar chips – nothing amazing but good. I’ll be back if my cable is ever down and I need a place to watch the Dolphins continue to lose.

Finnegan’s… Where do we start? It is known to be one of the most rowdy bars in Loudoun County. Their food is decent, but you typically risk the possibility of being assaulted or sexually harassed if it is after 6:30 pm. The security is a bunch of ex convicts from the looks of it and they do not ID half the people that come in. As long as you are spending money, you are able to drink as you please and act ignorant. This is definitely not a place for families or couples. I would say the atmosphere is more for local drunks, gang members, underage drinkers and other bottom of the barrel trash from other areas attracted by their ghetto DJ and staff. Phenomenal place if you want to see a good bar fight or young people vomiting outside due to overconsumption of alcohol or whatever drugs fly through this place.

We ate here once and the food was ok but what really makes the rating is the service. It takes forever to get someone to even notice that you sat down but there’s no hostess. Everything is just as slow from there. The waiter seems to forget when you ask for things(like the check in this instance). If they didn’t televise games I can’t get at home and weren’t down the street I wouldn’t waste my money.

It makes me sad that places that hold trivia have such mediocre food. The pub fries, were more like a plate of melted cheese with fries in it. I’m all for indulgence but this was a sad scary plate to consume. Their boneless wings for happy hour specials were good. Got them mild, they come with ranch and a couple sticks of celery. My boyfriend ordered the Shepherd’s pie, which was incredibly bland, average at best. Our other friend ordered the burger with Guinness BBQ sauce. He didn’t think it was much of a BBQ sauce, he taught it tasted more like ketchup. Overall we were unimpressed. The worst part is that our waiter had the worst timing and would come over and start asking us questions, during trivia questions, which we were very obviously taking part in.

I’ve been here for happy hour, beer is cold… mixed drinks are yummy. I also came here on Valentines Day this past year and it was great! I sat at the bar. The only thing they need is Wi-fi! :)

A good place for happy hour specials. The Guiness bbq sauce flavored chicken wings are pretty tasty. Really loud inside on the weekends. Great party environment. Live music, outside seating, and a great wait staff. Definite dive bar credit!

Great food and great service. An outside eating area that is great for gathering with friends. They have Trivia Night on Wednesday’s, Poker Night On Tuesdays, Wednesday and Saturday. Just a really fun time with friends. I come here week after week and don’t see that changing any time soon.

It’s a typical dive/sports bar. But was almost a savior when I was living in Ashburn since there were so few options for going out at night. Typical happy hour time and bar food. It’s pretty spacious. Has pool tables and booths. Also plenty of TVs. There’s usually something going on each day of the week(trivia, karaōke, kids’ night, etc). Overall I guess it’s a fun place to go(or as fun as it gets in a strip mall). Of course no crazy nights like we do it in the city since someone will have to drive back. There are also locations in Leesburg and Herndon.
