Went for breakfast today and the place was near empty. I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage and my husband had an omelette… The eggs were terribly undercooked; I kept pulling slimy egg whites off the plate but after 3 or 4 bites I gave up & just ate the toast. My husbands omlette was also undercooked in spots; he was able to eat at least half before giving up on it. We are new to the area & looking for a good diner but this one won’t be it.

Probably closer to 3.5 stars. This place always has a very decent breakfast for a reasonable price. Not quite a greasy spoon but not exactly a fancy brunch either. Rock solid.

After a long day doing the tourist thing in DC. We were looking for simple diner not too far from our hotel. We were there around 8pm and ordered breakfast food. The staff were very nice. My daughter got biscuits and gravey. I got the«the 2’s are wild» which was delish. My wife ordered just eggs and toast. The only down side was my wife said the coffee tasted like it had been brewed a long time ago. We would eat here again in the future.

I went here with my husband and kids for lunch and everything was horrible… from the service to the food to the cleanliness of the diner itself. How do you screw up a burger?! My kids LOVE pancakes and ate two bites and wouldn’t touch them after that… in true toddler form, my son said«mommy, these are yucky» in a very loud voice… definitely won’t be going back…

It’s okay, but why are there no good places for breakfast in suburban norther VA?

Pretty good for breakfast. My meal was good and the staff were nice. I love supporting local and will totally go back. It was going enough to try again. I will reserve my true review once I have their Ruben sandwich:)

The food here is usually pretty good, but the service nearly always leaves something to be desired. Today we came in looking for breakfast but were on a tight schedule. They say us down right away, but nobody came to take our order. We left after 15 minutes.

If i could give negative stars i would. Went for breakfast, the service was severely lacking in efficiency and the food was terrible. We sat our selves and had to pull a menu from another table. We only ever got one set of silverware and had to ask for napkins. Pancakes were gritty, sausage greasy and flavorless and the toast for the egg sandwich was so lightly toasted it was soggy by the time it git tot the table. Save yourself the time and money go somewhere else.

This is my 2nd review, since my first one 5 years ago. We returned for breakfast shortly after 10 a.m. The joint was close to deserted. We seated ourselves. I got the feeling the regular server was not working that day. I ordered Eggs Benedict-the Mister got an Omelet. We both asked for coffee.10 minutes later we got our mediocre beverages. It took another 20 minutes and empty coffee cups before the food arrived. The eggs on my Benedict were not runny as they should have been, The English muffins were burnt. To be generous there was 2 tablespoons of Hollandaise adorning the mess. It did not even taste like Hollandaise and was totally disgusting! My husband’s omelet was rubbery at the best. I am surprised this establishment is still in business. Never will I grace their place again.

Excellent breakfast menu filled with the classics like pancakes and Eggs Benedict. Food was delicious, service prompt & courteous. Will return for sure!

This place is random and is in a hotel, I think. The servers are nice, but aren’t very knowledgable about the menu. Food is good though. One suggestion, get blinds for the windows. Sun beams thru and hard to focus.

Rolando provides excellent customer service and is attentive to my kids food allergies. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. You can’t go wrong with breakfast here and the kids love it. Try the western omelet with cheese. The creamed chipped beef is fulfilling. Lunch time burgers are spot on.

The food was ordinary to mediocre. I ordered French onion soup and it came with no cheese on top! I said«there’s supposed to be browned cheese on top of the soup.» I sent it back for some cheese on top and it came back with a huge, unappetizing blob of cheese in the soup(after the«chef» came out to get a look at me, trying to pretend not to). The soup was fairly revolting. My wife’s eggs and bacon were almost inedible. Onion rings were so-so. We’re not coming back.

It’s not bad. It’s not good. It’s mostly frozen/prepackaged food repurposed to your plate, perhaps with the exception of some of the breakfast stuff, which I’ve yet to try. Tried the chicken souvlaki which is not chargrilled and therefore pretty lame. It’s more like sauteed chicken with paprika or something on it. It’s like the TV dinner version of souvlaki. Also tried the chicken philly, which was so-so but seemed to have a weird shredded chicken instead of shaved/chopped grilled chicken breast like it’s supposed to have. No mushrooms or peppers either on it, which is really disappointing. The fries, well, they’re crispy and they’re potatoes, so yum. But they are the most boring, standard fries ever — those flat and wide steak fries you get at some mediocre fast-food joint like Red Robin. It’s cheap food. The menu is huge, and I do want to go back and try the breakfast and the coney dogs. The service was attentive, though the server got one of the orders a little wrong(ordered no tomato, no mayo — still had tomato on the sandwich). But as far as diners go, this area doesn’t have great ones and Coney Island is just OK. If you really like the diner-style menu and food, I would recommend Amphora Diner, Delia’s or The Virginian.

This place is just like every other diner. They are fairly responsive and the food comes quick and hot. I have been here a few times and the service has been the same every time. I believe that if you just understand this is a diner and to not expect a 5 star restaurant. Low expectations and you’ll enjoy it. They do breakfast pretty well.

After reading all the bad reviews I wasn’t sure, so I asked a friend & they recommended this place. We gathered some courage to give it a shot & this diner is well worth it. Food was very good.(Cream Chipped Beef, Chilli burger, lasagna, Chesapeake Benedict) Bigger & better menu than IHOP

Not sure whats bad about this place. Great atmosphere and music in the background. I didnt want bread*toast* they had no issues keeping it. I wanted ham with my garden omelet they added it. Waitress not chipper, but not rude. Its an odd location going 7west to get here, but all and all the food is good.

Meh. Service was lousy, food was mediocre. Spend your money elsewhere. Would not allow me to order a Denver omelet without all the extras(hash browns, toast, etc.), even though all the other omelets had that choice on the menu. Very strange. The potatoes were the only thing worth eating. Not to mention food was overpriced.

This place has large hotdogs. It’s reminiscent of new york dogs but it didn’t satisfy my new York dog craving. Their fried samplers are ok. The shrimp is pretty decent. The décor in this diner is somewhat upscale and the location is tucked on an office plaza. I heard the breakfast is good here so I’ll probably try that sometime. Service was fast and friendly.
