Kinda mixed here on this one. Positive first: clean place and the prices are reasonable. We ordered the mixed bag with shrimp, crab legs, sausage, corn and potatoes w/garlic Cajun seasoning: we also got fried shrimp and fries. The bag was excellent and the seasoning was great. You could actually taste the seasoning after you peeled off the shells which I have found is rare at a lot of these boiling crab-like joints. The fried shrimp tasted like the frozen box brand and the fries were fries, nothing special. But the real negative part is in the service. There was one waiter and 3 tables w/customers. He was not friendly(but not mean) and kinda made us feel like he was bothered by our presence. He never asked if we needed anything and when we asked, it was like«well it’s my job so ok.» Maybe other servers are better, but I don’t know. He was a tall Asian kid, maybe early 30’s…owners…check him. Again, not mean, just not made for customer service.

First time trying seafood this way, have to say I got no complains from this place, the guy that attending us went over menu and over what spices we wanted to try, give us a way to eat it so we can improved flavor, I really felt so comfortable eating here like I was in my own dinning room … Will definitely mark this place as a come back place … Price here is great for the lot of food you getting

If you like The Boiling Crab you will love The Seafood Shack. The service was excellent and the food was great. The mussels are a must eat. They are delicious and big. They are imported from New Zealand. I will definitely eat here again!

Every time I’ve been here, it has been pretty empty so there is never a wait. The food is amazing, and it has everything that the competitors have, but there is never a wait and the service is very quick! Definitely recommend.

The sauces was awful!!! Way too much butter and no spice, no cajun spice and the crawfish had spikes, hard to peel, such a wasted of my money. Two stars because the waitress was friendly.

I wanted to be loyal to this place but I couldn’t after 2 incidents. #1. I was with a group of three, we placed our orders and as time passed we noticed that people who were sat AFTER us got their food first! They said the cause was they lost the ticket. #2. I was with my boyfriend who decided to bring his mom n visiting grandma from Taiwan here for dinner and what do you know, it happened again and same reason. I have came her plenty of times but because of how it was handled I will not be coming back.

Came in on a Tuesday evening after flying into LAX. It was empty. EMPTY. I was glad. I was a first timer to anything like this. I loved it with the exception of the clams. I wasn’t into the Thai soup. I’ll skip it next time. Everything else was on point we ordered the #2 combo, 1lb of shrimp on the side and a side or garlicky(yum) bread along with a Coke and a Hefeweizen. $ 60. Will be back for sure. I took a few paper menus for my coworkers! The waitress was great.

The prices is what keeps this place operational I think. However, we came here to celebrate a birthday and well, it seemed more like a hole in the wall place this night. The order was placed before we got there by the members of the group that got there first. They have never been to such a place and of course didn’t get THEWORKS flavoring which I think was big let down. What we did order was combo 1 and 2 along with Tilipia Salad. The flavor was just not strong enough, on either combos as both were ordered with different flavorings. They also got us on these combos by filling up the bags with mostly large heavy potatoes. The ambiance wasn’t really great either. They had spiderman 3(the horrible one from early 2000s) playing LOUDLY on their TVs. When we asked if they could play music or something else. The waiter told us they couldn’t play music due to copyright laws(first time I’ve heard that as an excuse). Then I said, look, we just don’t want to eat to a movie with lots of screaming, anything else will do. So they changed the channel. Otherwise this place gets the job done and you don’t have to wait in line for hours just to eat.

Great service very attentive and family oriented place. Second, the food is great, usually no wait. DANNY is the best, we applaud you on your customers service. This is our little secret place that we laugh at our friends waiting at the boiling crab sometimes for hrs. Crab legs and shrimp is great, suprisingly even the fish and fries is great. We always finish off with beniet.

1) I’ve been here a few times and the food is excellent. 2) Parking can be tight when you come during lunch and dinner hours. 3) Place is decent size, but large enough. 4) You will spend around $ 15-$ 20 person which isn’t bad, they also have draft beer and Coronas which is awesome!

I had dinner here one weekday. We got there around 7pm. Only two tables were occupied so we were immediately seated. Ordered the following: Sweet potato fries — $ 4. A lot of serving per order! Long and crisp. Taste really good too, although still fried, you get away from the potato being healthy :) . Grilled Salmon — $ 14. Big serving(the picture lacks one side of the fish as we almost immediately consumed it)… Sorry was hungry! The order has two sides, we ordered cajon fries and white rice. One lb. of shrimp with the works —(I think it was $ 12) I thought it was too buttery. Did not have the orange color that I’m used to seeing from Boiling Crab(BC) and other similar places. It has its own distinctive taste. Don’t expect BC taste. I did not enjoy it as I should because all I could think was all that butter going to my body. Service: The server was very nice, courteous and fast. Place: The place is clean and can accommodate large parties.

My 2nd visit to this place yesterday &‘my teenager &‘I were not Disappointed with our to-eat place after mass. Fast service Even tho all is cooked fresh to order ! Friendly waitress &‘manager. This shack was packed my 1st try to get. In months ago, on a Friday Nite! 2nd attempt, still packed but got seated in 10’minutes. Yesterday, Sunday, tables were half filled for, a nice, fun, Cajun spices satisfying meal! :0) Clams with the broth is delish, tastes like the ocean fresh!!!

Wait for food abit longer than I’d like. Good size shrimp! Got combo# 1 with the House spice for great taste, not spicy. Don’t forget the garlic butter — yumminess in a bag.

Being a big Cajun-Viet seafood lover I was pretty pumped up to try a new(for me) spot. Before going to a Laker game. I thought things were a tad off when we walked in. No one else was there and no one came from the back for a min or so. We almost walked out but then this lovely girl appeared and told us we could sit anywhere we wanted… duh the place is empty. Lots of TV’s so we lined up on one that was showing some college hoops. 1 star for ICE cold beer 16oz kona longboards 5.50 ea and $ 4 Coronas –1 star for slow service We ordered up pretty quick but the food came out very slow a bit at a time. Special combo #1 1lb extra shrimp $ 12!
Cajun Fries Very cool place. Many flat-screens, The service at SS was hurting. And the price was a bit more than I’d pay at BC or Claws. This isn’t a place Id return to. Poor service and overpriced. Done

Coming here for dinner made me sad. The sauce had NO flavor. No spice. Not Cajun in the slightest. It was actually a thick yellow mushy sauce. And the quality of the crawfish was very bad. A lot of black markings and the crawfish itself tasted old :/ The oyster tasted like it was defrosted in water, and so there was no flavor, and consistency was funny. Cocktail shrimp was very obviously defrosted in the microwave lol the shrimp was actually a little warm. Cocktail sauce tasted like marinara sauce . The only somewhat good thing were the clams. It was kind of like a clam soup? Service was … Awkward? I don’t know how else to describe it. Maybe it was because we were the only one in the restaurant. I mean the guy was nice just didn’t seem like he wanted to be there, and didn’t seem too proud of the food .The ambience was just weird, food was bad. Man I feel so bad for the place really. I hope they get it together.

Someone informed us this was similar to The Boiling Crab. Fail. The service was really good but the food didn’t match the service. It was mediocre at best. I wasn’t moved by the sauce, it was lacking in taste. The oysters were decent. Did I mention the good service? Oh yeah, I did…

The wifey was craving Cajun Shrimp(Again lol) so, I decided to give this place another shot. I’m glad I did. The first time I went, I got some shrimp & crawfish for the wife. She wasn’t too happy with what she got. I went to a Unilocal event so I didn’t taste it the first time. That was a while back. Time to check it out for myself. I got a pound of Cajun Shrimp(mild, wifey doesn’t like heat like me, lol) with garlic butter. The shrimps were fresh and delicious. The garlic butter was very good. Lots of garlic in that bad boy. Yum! I also got the Shrimp Fettuccini for noodle boy(aka my son) he didn’t like it, but papa & mama LOVEDIT! «Prepare with mushroom, roasted garlic and pesto cream sauce. Serve with two cheesy bread» The pesto cream sauce was very good. The shrimps were small, just okay. The mushroom was very good. It really didn’t need the shrimp. The cheesy bread was a hit with my son. The service was good and helpful. I originally was asking for«not spicy» but the waiter explained that I should get«mild», not spicy would be watery and not good. Good advice. Mild was not spicy at all(not to me, lol) and my wife was okay with the spice level. Dinner was a hit with the wife this time around and we are definitely a fan of this place. Come try it for yourself
