Pretty much always tasty wether going for brunch or dinner, and service tends to be good. The combination keeps me coming back time and again.

The most exciting thing about this restaurant are the flaming dishes wherein the flames rise up nearly two feet when served hot. I recommend the roast lamb, calamari, and asparagus. This restaurant has a low-light ambience which can help for romantic situations but is not optimal for business. Overall, this is a mid-range restaurant that offers high-end quality at an affordable price.

This place is amazing! This review is for brunch only. Since there technically aren’t any bottomless mimosa places in Arlington, this is about as close as you get. Each mimosa is only 1 cent if you order the bottomless tapas brunch($ 30pp). I’m always worried about brunch service when I only go with my husband(servers tend to forget about parties of 2 a lot when they have bigger tables to serve), but our waiter was incredible. Not sure of his name, but he was working there April 19th I think? And he had a giant beard. Anyway, he was seriously one of the nicest waiters I’ve ever encountered. Super patient, made sure our mimosa glasses were never empty, happy to give recommendations etc. If we go here again I hope we get him :). The mimosas aren’t super strong but I’m not a lightweight and since our glasses were never empty I was nice and drunk by the time brunch was over. Our server was even so polite that he brought us another round or 2 after brunch was technically over(I didn’t notice the time, most places are very pushy about«last call»). Good food items: — Spicy Lamb Benedict — Steak and Eggs — Crispy Pork Belly — French Toast A few of the items had too much potato in them, I think one was maybe the gyro hash? I could barely find the gyro or greek yogurt under all of the potato hash. Also the mini cava breakfast was kinda blah but what was I expecting(it’s just fried egg, bacon & potato hash)? Anyway, if you live in the Courthouse/Clarendon area and are tired of relying on metro to get to DC for a good affordable brunch spot, this place is a great alternative.

Had a great brunch time at cava this past sunday. we arrived around 12:30 and got seated outside in 10 mins. There was a long wait time for indoor sitting so we passed. If you show up before 12:30 it’s walk in and first come first serve. My friend and I shared 5 dishes including french toast, nutella waffle, spicy lamb benedict, steak and eggs, and smoked salmon. My most favorite ones were the spicy lamb and french toast. Be wary that the french toast is different from regular french toast and is more like a chunk of challah and syrup, but pretty tasty. The steak and eggs was underwhelming and the meat was almost burned. The waffle was decent and i think the smoked salmon was good, although i dont like salmon at all. They brought a wrong dish to our table which looked like 3 chunks of steak, shallots, and potatoes which was really good :)) I ordered blackberry dill lemonade which was a perfect beverage for a hot day with just right amount of sweetness! I still think $ 9 or $ 8 is a little too high for the portion and the type of the place it is. Overall, the experience was good but has lots of room for improvement.

One of the best brunches in Arlington ! They have 1cent mimosas with their bottomless brunch and i do recommend if you’re having brunch there you need to do bottomless ! It gets really crowded so reservations might help but it is for sure worth the wait! The waffles and the greek yogurt are a must ! So definitely try them !

Cava is one of my favorite restaurants in DC. The experience is completely different than the Cava Express locations(which are also awesome.) When we went they had the $ 25 Prix Fixe menu. The menu allows you to pick one dish from each of the four sections: dips/salads, vegetables/cheese, meat/seafood, and dessert. They allowed me to choose two options from the vegetables and cheese section because I’m vegetarian! There were two of us so we got 8 dishes total and we almost exploded from eating everything because it was all so delicious I didn’t want to stop. I recommend everything we selected: spicy hummus, saganaki, village salad, brussel sprouts, spanakopita, cauliflower(my fave!), and both desserts.

All I got to say is.. .. now my favorite brunch location, HANDSDOWN! Now prepare to read a novel.. .. . I am a huge Cava fan, so when my friend invited me to come out for her birthday bunch, I was more then ecstatic to finally try this restaurant. We got the bottomless brunch for $ 30 each person. Your entire party has to do the bottomless brunch or you can’t get it at all. But trust me it is well worth it. It was our mission to try every selection of the bottomless brunch. Also, who can argue with 1 penny mimosa’s? I will be trying to come back every oppurtunity I can get. I am not really a drinker, however I did have a glass, and thought they were very enjoyable. They have three selections: apple cider, orange or grapefruit mimosas. My favorite was the apple cider mimosa because I love sweets, and this flavor really hit the spot. The orange and grapefruit are good as well but not my cup of tea because they are a bit sour. But I will admit they are very good, but I prefer the sweet apple cider. Now to the food.. .. Absolutely amazing!!! Also the service is great! Even with the restaurant packed, they got the food out very quickly. With bottomless, you get small plates with individual servings so you can share or have a decent portion yourself. Lamb Benedict– Amazing! Nice semi spicy lamb meat with a nice poached egg and this delicious sauce on top. One of my top 5! Nutella Waffle– TOP3 maybe even my favorite!!! This is one of my absolute favorites, you get whipped cream, Nutella, and diced bananas on top of two waffle and I think honey on the bottom. MUSTHAVE! EATITANDCRYOFHAPPINESS! I think I may have had 5 or 6. Chicken Sausage– Another one of my top 5 is this delicious sausage made of chicken. Its a unique taste but my god it is good. You get 4 pieces in an order. They are very tender and oozing of juiciness. Greek Yogurt– TOP3 alert! Very simple dish of greek yogurt, granola, fresh fruits and Some sweet drizzle. I had like 3 bowls. Very creamy and sweet with some freshness from the fruit. Pork belly– One of my top 5. You get two big pieces, and they are very succulent and juicy. They are also very crispy on the outside and mouthwateringly juicy on the inside. Cut the poached egg, and eat it with a slice of the pork belly and you will be jumping for joy. Salmon benedict– Good dish, not a salmon fan, so I think thats why its not one of my top choices. Banana Fritters– 4 fried fritters that are very delicious!!! I think it was powdered sugar they put on the bottom of the bowl. VERYGOODAND A MUSTTRY. Steak and Eggs– Pretty straight forward you get a nice sunny side up egg that oozes over the nicely cooked medium steak and potatoes. Home fries– Very simple dish of just cubed potatoes Breakfast burrito– I would say pass on this one. Just a simple burrito thats more tortilla than anything. Very dry. Green Eggs and Ham– This is another item I would say pass on. Just a simple egg with a green sauce and small ham pieces, nothing spectacular. Grilled Cheese– A very interesting take on a grilled cheese. I would say it was a unique dish that is quite good. You get two pita quarters with I think its feta cheese and arugula on top. Very interesting take, try it and determine for yourself if you like it. I do not think you will be disappointed. Gyro hash– Pretty straightforward, Nice hash with gyro meat and an egg on top. Ok dish.

Came here for Sunday brunch with my boyfriend. We didn’t have a reservation and still got a table right away. We decided to do the bottomless brunch. It took a little while to get our drinks — the food came out before our mimosa and Bloody Mary. The food was great! My favorite of the brunch small plates was the spicy lamb Benedict and the breakfast burrito, topped off with the Taziki sauce. Sooooooo good. They had different types of mimosas too which was cool. I liked the grapefruit one and they also had an apple cider mimosa. Was a little pricier than I anticipated, but the food was delicious. I’m a sucker for Mediterranean food(mostly for the feta cheese). The brunch was great!

This review is for their brunch only. Very important: Cava gets extremely busy for brunch, so make reservations! Cava Mezze is a tapas restaurant, so their brunch dish sizes aren’t any different. All of their menu items range from $ 4 – 6 to $ 8 – 10. If you’re anything like me and just love to eat, they also offer«All you can eat brunch» for $ 30(and mimosas for just 1¢ — who can say no to that?). Now there’s a catch: everyone has to get the $ 30 offer for it to work, so make sure to bring here only your hungry or true food lover friends hahaha. Now onto the good stuff. I have tried their village frittata, french toast, Nutella waffle, steak and eggs, banana fritters, salmon bennie, grilled cheese, and crispy pork belly — more than one portion of each. The food was delicious, but my absolute favorite were the salmon bennie and french toast. The banana fritters were also dangerously tasty. The park belly had a bit too much fat for my taste. I’m assuming this happens at every unlimited brunch place, but there were a few items that we ordered and either got super late or never even saw them. I definitely recommend giving Cava brunch a chance. Or two, or three…

Came here for brunch with 2 friends at 11:30am. We made reservations so we didn’t wait. We ordered a lot of food but they were all meh. Drinks were okay too. Food is not worth $ 30 but with drinks, maybe. Pros: –Greek yogurt was so good! –unlimited food and basically drinks for $ 30 –ambiance was trendy and classy. Cons: –okay food –very VERY slow service. Our server was MIA most of the time even when we were out of drinks and food. I would not come back for brunch but I think I’ll give it another try for dinner and happy hour

Update — I’ll stick with 5 stars because I love Cava and still believe this is one of the only great places to eat in Clarendon. The food is still good, and they’ve switched out the menu a few times over the years. Here’s what I had on the most recent trip: –saganaki — always get this here. However, I don’t think it’s as good as it once was. seemed like the piece of cheese we got was really thin, but flavor was still on point –crazy feta hush puppies — new addition to the menu. The hush puppy part of it is good, hot, crispy outside, moist inside. However no hint of crazy feta, let alone feta, which was underwhelming. served with honey butter because why not –pork belly — still great, fatty chunks of pork. The purée it sat it was whatever –chicken lollipops — these have gotten better. the dip is still the same(greek yogurt, honey, walnuts), but I think the chicken has gotten crispier and has better flavor. Delicious –roasted lamb with orzo — this was delicious, and had a pretty big portion of lamb which was awesome. –street corn — not sure what I expected here but I love mexican street corn, and sadly this dish does not compare. Not much flavor here you’re paying however much for a few half cobs with small bits feta and«spicy aioli». Unfortunately, the flavor of the feta and any spice was nowhere to be found. Anyway, still love cava, service is good and waits aren’t so bad anymore, good location, great patio. Pita and harissa still tasty(although has the harissa gotten milder?), also they don’t give you olives anymore?

I loved my meal at Cava Mezze. It’s Greek food served tapas style, and they recommend usually 2 dishes per person. I went during lunch and instead opted for one of their lunch specials, the grilled meatball pita sandwich + fries. They also have a fixed $ 15 meal option where you choose a 3 different dishes from a set menu, and I thought that was a great deal as well. It was pretty relaxed when I was there(weekday lunch), but I can imagine that it’s popular for brunch, especially with their penny mimosas. I look forward to dining here again!

Cava Mezze is amazingly good at what they do. I’ve never experienced such perfectly cooked and textured food. That temperature and rate of service create an amazing meal. It doesn’t matter what you order, order it all. Portions are large compared to other tapas style eateries. Service is fast and friendly from the server to the bussers. For somewhere as popular as this location, they have it under control. I’ve been to more than one location and the experience has been the same every time. One teeeeeny, tiny thing. None of the cocktails appealed to me, maybe I’ll just have to try one next time. Because there will definitely be a next time.

I went here for the bottomless brunch, which is $ 30 and penny mimosas. The style is tapas small plates, so they’re meant to be shared or you can order multiple if each person wants their own. Overall, the food was decent, some options more than others. I got the steak and eggs to start, and the steak was cold upon arrival. The grilled cheese was also misleading — I know it’s a Mediterranean restaurant, but two pieces of pita with feta cheese on top was not what I was anticipating for grilled cheese. The Nutella waffles were a real stand out and absolutely delicious, however. They were probably the only memorable food item for me. The mimosas were good, but I personally find drinking and eating a lot in the 2.5 hour time limit window difficult. However, if you’re looking for a decently priced bottomless brunch that will get you tipsy(or more), definitely try cava if you haven’t and see for yourself.

Cava is solidly good. I’ve done brunch and dinner there and enjoyed both. Today we did the bottomless brunch and it was great though I’m not sure how much sparkling wine is in those penny mimosas. But they are a penny so I suppose I can’t complain. A friend had the Bloody Mary but it was super spicy but delicious. My only real gripe is brunch rules. We were a large party so only had the choice of 1030 or 1230. It was fine but a larger group came in behind us at 1130(the time I preferred and was told they don’t take large group reservations at that time) I suspect that that they had two smaller reservations but either way. The food is great and meets a variety of dietary restrictions and is a great time. I will say the hostess who was there when we arrived was not particularly pleasant when I asked where our party had been sat — luckily they saw me and waved me back. However, I left a few things behind and the manager on duty was great. The host who was there when I picked them up seemed the have a similar attitude to the early hostess.

I had been wanting to try Cava for awhile now, and after my experience at their Clarendon location I will not be back. I feel conflicted, but I will explain. The food there was wonderful. My friend and I spilt the Brussel Sprouts and an order of Roasted Chicken with Orzo. For dessert we ordered the Baklava. Out of the three, my favorite was the Roasted Chicken with Orzo, the orzo itself was very flavorful and the sauce left over made a great dipping sauce for the pita bread that comes to each table. The Brussel Sprouts were very good as well but just a tad bit salty for my taste. Sadly, the service was miserable, and for this reason alone, I do not think I will return to the location. Upon entering, I found it odd that the two young ladies at reception barely looked up from their phones to great us. They uttered a vague«hi, welcome to cava» before going back to talking amongst themselves. This was not so bad, but then our waitress also seemed to have this strange aloof/almost pissed off attitude throughout the evening. What is going on that you are all so upset? It was a snootiness in each action that I found very confusing. For example, my friend and I were enjoying our food and catching up, but with food still left on our plate, she snatched up all our plates and brought out the check. I was so confused I asked her if the restaurant was about to close soon(it was only 8:30pm). She said it wasn’t closing anytime soon but she just assumed we were done. So I said no we were not, and we had been hoping to see the dessert menu. She brought out the desert menu, clearly annoyed, and we ordered the Baklava before asking for the check and then leaving. Overall, this made for such a disagreeable experience that I don’t think I will be back, even though the food was very good. I would assume this was an off day but I had been in before to check out the menu and faced the same snootiness from the hosts as I did once I finally tried the place. It felt like everyone at the restaurant had been instructed — «make the guests feel like this in an elite club and they are not wanted.» UPDATE: I was contacted directly by Brandon from Cava’s customer service. I found him to be very receptive to all of my concerns, and he asked detailed questions about my experience in order to make changes that will better Cava’s service to customers. He also told me that Cava is in the midst of a new server training program. I will return to Cava sometime in the future and then update my review.

I can’t believe it took me this long to try finally Cava Mezze, but I feel like maybe it was better when it first opened. Service and cocktails were great, but the food was very average. My friend and I went to Cava for dinner around 7:30 on a Saturday with no reservation, and it was busy, but not crazy. We were seated in about 20 minutes, which was just enough time to order some drinks and start on them. For dinner, we split the brussels sprouts, the beet salad, the octopus, and the lamb with orzo. I liked the brussels sprouts and beet salad, but they were pretty similar to what you can find at a lot of other restaurants in the area. The octopus was a little overcooked, so the skinny end was really tough and chewy, but the thick part was fine, and the flavor was good. I wouldn’t get it again. The lamb was kind of mushy and bland, so I definitely wouldn’t get that again either. For this type of food, I definitely feel like the quality is better Kapnos Taverna, which is pretty close by. I’d give Cava Mezze another try if I were in the area and someone else wanted to go, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

If you are looking for a great place to do brunch or Sunday Funday, Cava Mezze is the place to be! My friend hosted her birthday brunch here this past weekend and I had an awesome time. Located in the heart of Clarendon, parking is available on the streets or in a nearby garage. The restaurant is pretty big and can accommodate large parties(we had a table of 15+). Keep in mind that it does get busy, and reservations are recommended. What’s awesome about Cava is that they offer an All-You-Can-Brunch menu($ 30) as well as penny Mimosas and $ 2 Bloody Marys. I was pretty skeptical about their brunch options(given their specialty in Greek and Mediterranean cuisine), but ended up pleasantly surprised. They offer a wide variety of plates ranging from your typical bacon and eggs benedict to crispy pork belly. The sizes of their plates make it super easy to share amongst friends(similar to the idea of dim sum for all my Asians out there). I found the majority of their dishes to be quite flavorful, well-cooked, and delicious. My favorites included their Spicy Lamb Benedict, Chicken Sage Sausage, Salmon, Mini Cava Breakfast, and Nutella Waffle. Note that a large majority of their plates come with a fried egg, so you’ll be consuming lots of protein. My least favorite had to be their breakfast burrito, which was well-portioned but lacking in flavor and moisture. Now did I mention that they offer penny mimosas? Choices included orange juice, grapefruit, and cider. My absolute favorite was their cider, which was very well-mixed and sweet. Service was excellent, and our server made sure to keep the refills coming! I can confidently say that by the end of brunch, my friends and I were happily full of both food AND drinks ;) Cava, I will be back soon!

This is my favorite brunch place! $ 30 for all you can eat brunch and 1 cent mimosas. How could you beat that? They have a list of small appetizers you can choose from and the list gives you lots of options. Also, they have several flavors of mimosas. The staff was super friendly too. Good food and service. How can it get any better?!? I’ll definitely be back

This place has really fast service. My friend and I were immediately seated and our orders were taken within five minutes. After ordering, they even brought out our food within five minutes. I was surprised at the tapas themselves. For tapas, the portion sizes were bigger than usual. You’d definitely get full after three of their tapas. In addition, the tapas were all very delicious. If you need a quick and fulfilling sit-down meal, I would definitely recommend Cava Mezze.

Still savoring all the dishes I tried here tonight. The saganaki(flambé cheese) was an exciting and delicious start to the night, the lamb katama(?) was cooked perfectly, the crispy pork belly, a dish I have to get whenever it’s on the menu, was perfectly crisp and the drizzled honey on top really made the dish, the roasted cauliflower was quite good and interestingly enough, my favorite dish was the crispy roasted Brussels sprouts which came with a delicious lemon Greek yogurt dip — so simple and yet so wonderful. Also had the Great Green Garden cocktail which was refreshing and tasty, as was the Harvest Fall cocktail. Satisfaction in every bite and sip. Good service as well and nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices as well. Will definitely go back!

I come here frequently with anyone who will agree to go and can never get enough! Cava is intimate and innovative. Despite the décor being exposed piping and cement walls, the soft lighting, candles, and art deco-ish portraits give it a really intimate, chic feeling. The menu as a whole is based off Greek small plates, with the product following a sort of «farm to table» moto. The staples stay around, but they rotate food and drink items with the seasons, which is nice because then your have tons of options all the time. Most recently my friend and I stopped in for brunch. There is a specific brunch menu where you can chose to order things individually for preset prices or opt to do bottomless brunch which includes as many brunch menu options as you can eat, 1 cent mimosas and 2 dollar bloody marys. Everything on the brunch menu is ah-maze, and it definitely pays off. If you are a fan of benedicts they have many variations and plays on the benedict– all of them are delicious. Now lets talk about my favorite hour– Happy hour! — They have a great happy hour! It includes many menu staples, and a variety of different drink specials. They also do daily specials depending on the day of the week. I forgot to mention another important thing — all the staff rocks!

We got there pretty early but it still was quite packed, I gave my name in to get contacted if there was any table available .I suggest to call in advance and make reservation . We sat at bar and did not even need table . I started with a mojito, that was delicious . We got tzatziki and lollipop chicken as apetizers. I liked the tzatziki but sweet chicken is not my style . I ordered spicy lamb sliders, they serve only two sliders by the way, It was very well cooked, loved it . Bartenders were very friendly and good with ordered, the only reason I am giving them 4 is because pita bread showed up very late, we were almost done with our apetizers. I totally recommend.

This place was perfection. I picked it because it was located just down the road from my interview spot and it could not have surprised me more. The food was out of control. I have spent my whole life hating brussel sprouts and trying to ilke them. Well, good job Cava Mezze, I officially love your brussel sprouts. I could not get enough of these delicious little cabbages! We also had the cauliflower, spanikopita, and the fig hummus. Everything was wonderful and the pita was great! The server was spot on and did a great job of suggesting wine for us. If you find yourself near by, do yourself a favor and stop by here!

I’ve been to this location twice for dinner and now for brunch. Honestly, how can you go wrong with tapas? This is my go to restaurant when I have out of town visitors. The food is always fresh, and I’d say the portions were large for tapas. The best part is sharing and trying even more fabulous bites. For the brunch there is a flat rate for bottomless tapas. I was was a little sad that some of my favorites didn’t make the brunch menu, but I was still pleasantly surprised. Several dishes include eggs, such as the frittata and lamb hash, but others don’t. The Nutella waffle was absolutely heavenly.(We ordered two for the three of us!) Another bonus to brunch is that you pay a penny for bottomless mimosas. that’s right, just one cent. There is a time limit, but one can only eat so much. We had no problems with the time frame, I believe it was 2 — 2.5 hours. If you haven’t tried Cava yet make your reservation asap!

Comparing this location to the one in DC and it is just okay. The DC location had great customer service and great food. The Clarendon location was disappointing. The service was lackluster like the server did not want to be there. I did not like the fact that the server had a full beard since we found an errant hair inside the laminated page of the menu as well as on an appetizer plate. EEW ! This is the 2nd visit with the same server so it wasn’t just a «bad day» for this particular server, he was low energy, took too long to check on us and took forever to get our check even though we were seated near the bar and he passed by our table a few times and saw that we were clearly finished with our lunch. The positives were the lollipop chicken. They were hot, crispy and tender. The salmon was bland, the meatballs were over salted, but the roasted cauliflowers were good. With so many restaurants competing for my service, I won’t be going back unless it was strictly to sit at the bar(so I don’t have to deal with the server).

One of my fave Mediterranean joint in the DMV. I came here on a Tuesday night and got seated right away. I started with the cheese flambé n salmon roe dips(served with pita breads), these two were my must have! Love their tapas concept since the dips were making me full. I ordered the meatballs with red onion n the spicy lamb sliders, both were savory n cook to perfection. Will definitely come back for more!

I LOVE Cava Grill the casual restaurant, so I was super excited to try their sit down sister resturant and we were not disappointed. We tried a bit of everything – dip tasting, brussel sprouts, spanakopita, lollipop chicken, mini pita and more. I was so impressed with the flavor of everything. The mini pita was a big standout. The meat was incredibly juicy and flavorful. I am itching to go back and try more!

Was here for a corporate event. They had several appetizers passed around, a buffet style dinner, and had an open bar. To start, the bartenders at the place are well trained and make really good cocktails. Nathan made me an old fashion with a burned orange peel. Burned orange peel was something that I learnt from a craft cocktail location. It is very rare for a bartender to make me cocktails just the way I like it and he definitely delivered. The food I tried: The gyro’s were really delicious. Their lollipop chicken were decent, although I’ve had better fried chicken before. The lamb chops was good, moist, but not cooked med rare.(Expected though since its buffet style, left out in the open) The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing! I would go back in a heart beat to eat these. Since it was a corporate event, I didn’t get to explore the menu. I will definitely be back to give it another review soon. Overall, a great experience at the restaurant. Parking wasn’t too bad too, there are several parking garages close by.

This is a neighborhood favorite of ours. Me and my main squeeze ended up going to Cava on a spur-of-the-moment dinner date. Surprisingly, they still had seats available and we didn’t have to wait for a table. Things you MUST order: Brussel Sprouts, Octopus, Pork tenderloin(SOGOOD), Lollipop Chicken, Pork Belly and Mini Pita Gyro! Also — Unlimited brunch on weekends with 10 cent Mimosas? Count me in! Enjoy!

I came back with my bf tonight, we were given a $ 60 dollar gift certificate to use after our terrible brunch experience. I would have to say our waiter, JACK, was awesome! He was attentive but not overbearing, and came by periodically to check up on us. He also didn’t take out order down on paper and remembered everything we ordered by memory! I would say that is super impressive! His service alone was definitely 4 stars. Food on the other hand was 2 stars. — The scallop risotto has always been my favorite, I was so disappointed to learn that not only did the price increase but the quantity of the scallops(it used to be 3 scallops and now reduced to 2 scallops) decreased as did the mushroom risotto. Why would the price increase but the quantity decrease? Both my bf & i enjoyed this tapa the best ouf of all the others. — Fried calamari was extremely salty. My bf, who is a calamari lover agreed that it was way too salty and that it was only ‘ok’. — Lollipop chicken again was okay. It was merely fried chicken drumsticks(3) on a bed of greek yogurt topped with honey. Nothing special. Without the yogurt & honey, the chicken was bland. — Braised short ribs– Very tender but again, the lack of seasoning on the tapas! It was so sour from the marinara or tomato based sauce! It tasted so one dimensional. Not only that, it lied on a bed of steak fries, which was fine but I noticed the lamp chops also came on a bed of steak fries. — Lamb Chops– very tender and not gamey at all which is a plus. However, completely underseasoned! Again, came on a bed of steak fries, which makes me think… do you not have any other ideas to creatively pair with the lamb chops or braised short ribs? If i’m paying 15 dollars for 2TINY lamp chops, I expect something more than steak fries, which is the majority of the tapa. — Zucchini fritters– very very very bland. No seasoning and the only saving grace was the taziki sauce. We came on wine night which was half off bottles. We ordered a bottle of red(ended up being around 21 dollars with discount). First off, it was a twist off bottle and the taste was only okay. It honestly tasted like a 5 dollar bottle of wine from Giant. A twist off bottle should NOT be $ 42 dollar full price, this is RIDICULOUS. I barely drank 2 glasses and I am a huge red wine drinker and I can finish a bottle myself. My bf’s moscow mule was slushy? I’ve never had crushed ice in a moscow mule before. Overall, the food was only 2 stars. I doubt I will be back again for the food. The price for the food is completely overpriced for what we get. $ 10 – 15 dollars for each tapas when 75% of it is just filler(aka steak fries??). That is not okay. I would suggest the chef and owner collaborate on the menu b/c paying for a tapa for that price, the food should NOT be overly salty or under seasoned. However, I’d like to reiterate that JACK, our waiter, was AWESOME! This is how service is supposed to be at restaurants! If it weren’t for him, this review would only be 2 stars but b/c his service was 4 stars, I’ll up my 1 star rating to 3 stars. GREATJOBJACK!

I’ve been to Cava probably 3 or 4 times since living in Arlington. It’s definitely a solid place to meet up with some friends, so some drinking, and eat some small plates. After seeing pretty much the same menu for a while, they recently have added some new things including two pork dishes, fried calamari, and I think some new dips and salad. Most of the food I’ve had there has been pretty good! The spanakopita is deeelicious. So are the brussels sprouts. They also flambé the cheese saganaki at your table which is awesome because there is a giant flame. Service I’ve found can be hit or miss but usually it’s on the good side. This is also a great place to come and order a couple bottles of wine and just drink. If you’re looking for a nice social night out with some friends or on a date, this is a great spot to come. Low lighting, reasonable prices, and a large selection of food and drink.

Service was SUPERB. We had a group of 7 and our server was so nice, constantly came to check on us and knew to ask in advance about split checks. They have a 4 course prefix menu for $ 25 and the best part is that they allow you to share it. Unheard of at any other restaurant I’ve been to. It’s like they’re actually conscious of people who want good food but don’t want to spend a ton of money. Or just want a lighter dinner. My friend and I went with the fig hummus, cava mac & cheese, chicken souvlaki, and Greek donuts for dessert. In retrospect I would not have gone with the hummus since they already give you pita bread and oil as your bread basket to start. I was also disappointed that it didnt taste like anything different than what I’ve had before since I love figs — we could not taste the fig at all. As my friend said — «hummus is hummus» so we were fine, but this was one newer item I think they can improve on.

I loved this place for brunch! I’ve been here before for drinks and then another time for dinner. I didn’t know they had a back patio with outside seating, we sat there on a nice Sunday afternoon. We sat down and got started. We just found ourselves ordering and ordering more and more delicious plates. We got the banana fritters TWICE, that’s how much we couldn’t stop eating them. The Nutella waffle was my second favorite(I forgot to take a picture). I highly recommend those two especially if you have sweet tooth like me. Basically everything we got I recommend. The bottomless mimosas were perfect and I had the grapefruit for the first time and I’m so glad I tried it first here. All the food was delicious and fresh and the mimosas included. The staff were friendly and the place is just inviting and a perfect place to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.

Delicious! Host and hostess were sweet and warmly greeted us. Our server was very cool. Attentive, great personality and friendly. The meal starts off with complimentary pita, olives, olive oil, and Harissa. She was so sweet to bring us out more pita and dips. A couple of dishes that really stood out to us were the Spicy Lamb Sliders, Lamb Chops, and Lollipop Chicken. Everything we ordered was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Restrooms are towards the front of the restaurant, across the bar area. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but this restaurant can get really packed. I love that water comes in a glass bottle and you serve yourself. Perfect for people who drink a lot of water. Their Strawberry Limeade was incredibly refreshing. Highly recommend. So glad we finally got to try Cava Mezze.

Came here with my fiancée and a friend for brunch at around noon on Saturday. We were seated immediately upon entering, which was very nice and unexpected. All the items listed on the menu are supposed to be small plates. We ordered the crazy feta, lollipop chicken, spicy lamb sliders, and zucchini fritters. The crazy feta and zucchini fritters were both very creamy. The lollipop chicken was sweet, crunchy, and delicious. The lamb was flavorful and delicious as well. The service was courteous and efficient, and the prices were fairly reasonable.

Insanely delicious. Came here on a Saturday night. Packed and waited about an hour when we were quoted for 40 min. Absolutely worth the wait. Bf and I were able to get drinks at the bar so we hung out and had a few glasses of wine/bourbon julep(strongest cocktail on the menu). We would see sporadic flames throughout the restaurant from a flamey cheese dish that was on the menu. As soon as we were sat, a basket of pita bread, olives, oil and some spicy Greek Sriracha type sauce was brought to our table. Could have eaten the whole thing for dinner. The pita bread was sooooo soft and so warm like it was straight out of the oven. Having been here once before, we remembered the portions were small so we actually ended up ordering a little too much. I thought the Crazy Feta was the flaming cheese so I got one of those to start. Was disappointed to know that I ordered the wrong thing, but totally my fault and we still ended up eating it. It is amazing — if you like feta! We then got the flaming cheese(can’t remember what it is called), scallops over risotto, roasted mushrooms, pork belly, spanakopita, and salmon served with green beans and tomato. Every single thing was perfect. Despite it being super busy, our good was cooked perfect and it tasted freshly made, not like it was rushed. I highly recommend Cava Mezze!!! :)
