I have been coming here for years to get my hair cut and my daughters hair cut. The staff is always friendly and accomedating. Sure it gets busy at times but I find its best to always set an appointment. We appreciate their service.

Gaby is very nice person and Professional She is on the best hair cut in sanfernando valley she always have good prices she Speak Inglish and Espanol I recomend this place.

Sara’s is my go to salon. Gabby the owner is awesome and is the one who cuts my hair. I usually just do walk-​ins and she fits me right in every time. Usually I just get a regular haircut but every once in a while I get color as well. I’m actually sitting in her chair as I am writing this review. Her prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend. Oh and by the way she is extremely easy on the eyes. ;)

This was my first time getting my hair cut here. This is a family run business. The place is very clean and everyone is friendly. The prices are reasonable. Tony cut my hair. He was very thorough and did a really good job. I’m definitely coming back!

Habla English? Not!!!
Well, if you want to get your hair whacked off, come to this place. I just wanted bangs re-​shaped when she cut the frame by my face so short… Disappointed

I have been going to see Gaby at the salon for a year now and she has always done such a great job on my hair. She straightens my hair all the time and when I want to change my hair color she is an expert on hair color. I can tell her what I want done and she is always on point and the price is right.

This place is a Hot Mess!
First off this place is called Sara’s Beauty salon but the owner now seems to be Gaby. Maybe they changed ownership or something. Anyhow, went in and asked if they had time to do a blow out. They said yes although it was obvious to me that they would take a while since there were about 3 poeple waiting. Since Gaby was jumping between clients she had the shampoo girl blow drying my hair. It was obvious to me that this girl had no idea what she was doing. This girl couldn’t even shampoo hair, my advice give her more training before letting her deal with clients.
After a while Gaby jumped in and decided to finish my hair. Her work is average hence the extra star, and is also very rushed. That night when I went out my hair was a frizzy mess. This doesnt happen when I go to other salons.
This was my second time here. My blow dry of choice is drybar but used to come here out of convenience. But after this experience never again. When it came time to pay I couldn’t get myself to leave a tip.
Hopefully they can take some constructive cristisim and improve their services.

Worst Service Ever!
I read Brenda C’s review about going to Sara’s Hair Design for their wax and threading services, but I did not expect a dirty salon with disorganized management and stylists. When I first walked in I saw the owner, Sara, who was wearing platform heels servicing a client and running back and forth from the telephone, she should’ve had a receptionist so she wouldn’t have to pause and interrupt her concentration while cutting hair. There were kids running around with the mothers not disciplining them, I felt like I walked into the play area at Mcdonalds.
I asked for a eyebrow wax and waited 20 minutes or so for a stylist to finish up her client, she walked me into this small tiny room that was really messy and dirty. I saw dust collected around the wax pot and I couldnt bare to stand there a minute longer, she reused the same waxing strip for my eyebrows really unsanitary!!!
Once she was finished I saw some stray hairs were still left and she didn’t even take time out to tweeze the remaining hairs — its typical when you get an eyebrow wax at any salon. I felt they just rushed me she told me the total was $ 11 dollars, but I saw on the price list that an eyebrow wax was $ 8 dollars… inconsistent pricing. I recommend people to not go to this business for getting their eyebrows waxed.

If your doing wax or threading, thise is the place to go! The lady is gentile and pays attention to detail! Just love it not expensive and people there is very nice
