Something for everyone. We are vegans and appreciate that they have vegan cheese or can do sans cheese and still make it yummy.

I come to Asheville once a year for the dog show. This is always my first stop far lunch or supper. Never been disappointed. All of their menu is great. Local brewed beer is also great. You will have some to take home due to large servings.

We eat here often and are always pleased with the service and the food. The pizza and calzones are our fave!

Whenever I’m in Arden, the majority of the time I get dinner here. Tonight I tried the online ordering option on their site. I clicked ‘continue’ and it went to my Facebook login. I got back to their site and I had to click on the option ‘prevent this page from creating additional dialogue’. So I decided to call. My order was ‘a16 inch EXTRA thin crust, LIGHT sauce, EXTRA cheese, EXTRA pepperoni, chicken cordon bleu pasta, garlic knots, and medusa onion’. I picked up my order and she opened the pizza box. No where close to an EXTRATHIN crust. I told her I asked for EXTRATHIN, and she says ‘oh, You have to specifically ask for it’. I said ’ I did, extra thin crust, like the menu says’. ‘She says ‘you need to say New York style’. I told her it’s all the same, the menu says ‘extra thin, New York style’. She said ‘you have to say New York’. Frustrated, I just left. Got home and the extra pepperoni looked like a toddler did it in their sleep. About 5 lbs of cheese, none of it thoroughly cooked, the pepperoni looked it hardly was in an oven if at all. There was so much cheese I couldn’t see the slices. I pulled the cheese away and there was ZEROSAUCE. I have been going to Acropolis long before it moves to Airport Rd. And this is the absolute worst it’s ever been. I hope someone in management looks at the reviews. It was absolutely awful. Not going back.

Honestly I try to call in a order to go at this place. These girls don’t know the prices of the items, they guess at the prices. Are rude when you question about what is in the salad. Then after you finally place your order they hang up on you! This place used to be great! Not anymore, their food is not that good, service sucks! Prices expensive… I won’t be going back nor will I be calling in any more orders. Yuk!

My wife and I have been eating at Acropolis for many years and have never been disappointed. Their pizza, salads, and appetizers are excellent. The service has always been fast and friendly. Management is legitimately caring and seem to be easy going. The décor is relevant to its name and at least the plants are real. Our favorites here are the Carolina Cheese Fries(best in town) and Spanakopita. Yum! If you’re in the mood for mixed drinks just hop over to their bar 32 Degrees Ice Bar for a small atmosphere with a lot of TV’S which make for great & rowdy sports events. As with many bars, there are varied drink specials depending on the night of the week you choose to visit.

Good food with large portions. Tight spaces in the tables, but service is pretty nice. Be sure to check-in for a free appetizer.

Waitstaff is rude. Tacky decorations and not great food. It’s okay at best. Edible. But taste like something I could cook at home with no effort. Wayyyy to cheesy. Everything was doused in cheese. Not worth the money at all.

I used to love this place. Their lamb gyros were legendary. However, I think they’ve changed purveyors. The quality of the meat is just terrible. Everything else — the salads, etc, are great.

In having a conversation about a mistake that was made weeks prior the waiter overheard us talking. Unaware he informed the manager and he came over an introduced himself and inquired about the mistake ! Within 24 hours he contacted the customer and made EVERYTHINGRIGHT. Highly recommend this place !

AFTER20+ YEARS, I WILLNEVERPATRONIZEACROPOLISAGAIN. I picked up a to-go order, as we usually do. Unbeknownst to me, the incorrect food was given to me. This was not discovered until i got home. I called the restaurant to let them know what had happened and asked if they would deliver the correct order(we live less than 5 miles from them). They refused to deliver. They also did not want the wrong order back but, the employee who made the error, would be made to pay for the extra order if i didnt pay it. I could not, in good conscience, punish the employee so i ended up paying for both meals. Very disappointed in my local pizzeria. We will not return.

Food is fairly priced and is decent to eat. Not earth shattering by any means but good enough to be worth the money. The wait staff, particularly the women that work the front register are horribly rude. To the point that they seem put off if they are required to interact with a customer. Been like this for years. We tried again after a year hiatus from Acropolis but no improvement. Much friendlier places to spend your money in Asheville…

The BEST pizza I have eaten. Great quality toppings. Thin homemade crust. More like a tomato pie with toppings than a typical pizza. It is definitely one place I visit when I come to Asheville. Their online app makes it so easy to look at the menu and order pick up!

I want to first start this off that our waitress(Ariel) was great. Today was the 1st time I was here. The only reason I went was to support a wonderful friend who got horrible food the day before that was to go. I saw what she got the night before and honestly I won’t have fed that to my dogs. On top of the nastiness they didn’t even get their salads or bread. The manager Brad was called by our waitress today because he was suppose to call her back last night. He said her purchase was 50 percent off.(i know him and he’s a complete flake) Well that wasn’t the case. I work in a restaurant, if there’s any complaint the owner or manager goes straight to the table. Never saw either one. Anyways, me being an Italian all I ordered was a side Caesar and an appetizer. I was nervous and I’m glad I was. I saw other people’s food while we were there. This is not Italian! This is «The Poor Man’s Alpo Dog Food» cuisine. Honestly the food isn’t even the issue, it’s all management. My friend should have NEVER been treated that way by management. It’s called respect!

Acropolis Pizza is a top-notch pizza place. They use a superior blend of cheeses that is just out of this world! The Lasagna is great too and the Bruschetta and Greek nachos are good too. Do yourself a favor and try them, you won’t regret it. Conveniently by the airport at exit 40 off of hwy 26, right by the Wal-Mart in Airport road, it’s easy to miss, so be looking for the sign.

EXCELLENTFOOD!!! We came in on a Friday night with a party of 8. Our male waiter was hopping and on the money, he knew the menu and exactly what to recommend. My husband had fried pickles and he loved it. Our drink cups were never empty. I specifically had the Acropolis Speciality Pizza, preferred extra cheese… never had theres before… out of this world good. Garlic knots with homemade marina delicious too!!! these guys rock for a hole in the wall place!!! Can’t recommend it enough!!!

If you’re looking for Italian, do yourself a favor and drive five more minutes and go to Iannucci’s on 25. This was just bad. I ordered the chicken parmezitti… what came out was something that all looked like it had been boiled to death before being plated and served. The look of it was reminiscent of a bad Italian meal from a bad school cafeteria. The abundant fruit flies and horrible fluorescent lighting really set off the whole school cafeteria vibe as well. Not to mention the Italian dressing left on each table for all to use… gross. The one bright spot was our waiter, Daniel. He was very attentive and everything you look for in good service. Hopefully he can escape and find a job at a restaurant that can match his level of service with their level of food and ambiance.

We’ve been going to Acropolis for decades, both at their former location and this one. We usually get the lamb gyro and have never been disappointed … until today. We ordered two lamb gyro platters, which come with lots of rotisserie grilled lamb, yoghurt sauce, a piece of pita bread and a small Greek salad. We ordered for takeout. With two extra pieces of pita bread, and nothing to drink, the meal came to about $ 21.50 before tip. Prices have crept up over the years, but we can live with that. There were two problems with the meal today. One, the pita bread was so old and stale it was almost hard. Second, the salad dressing has changed — it’s a milky white now, instead of clear as in the past. The lamb was pretty good, and the salad was okay, but you can’t eat a lamb gyro without good bread. Why would Acropolis give customers stale pita bread? Was the kitchen just having a bad day? Or is the restaurant under new management that is trying to save a buck? We won’t give up on an old favorite, but if this happens again we won’t go back. Let’s hope the kitchen was just having a bad day.
