Ate at Tyler’s for the first time last night. We just moved to Apex and hoped to find a great local place for a meal with the kids. Wow what a disappointment. Our waitress could not have been more disinterested in serving us. Then food was bland, boring, and what I would have expected from a 2am meal at a Denny’s. The place has the potential to be a great little spot but they have a TON of work to do in order to get there. I can’t imagine we’d ever be desperate enough to try Tyler’s again. Pity.

Food is a major let down but the beer is very good. Would grab a few beers here, but I will pass on the food in the future.

Service was slow slow. And they weren’t that busy. Took forever to get the food. Catfish sandwich I got was greasy, small skinny piece of fish that was completely overtaken by the bun… Garlic fries, had just a few garlic pieces you could see. Otherwise normal fries. Our waitress was super slow and didn’t bother to check on us even though an empty tea glass sat on the edge of the table for over 5 minutes. very disappointing experience to say the very least.

Went in for lunch with some friends. Ordered the Mediterranean Pita. Very small portions. The chicken was dry, the pita was toasted and mine was burnt. Very disappointed. Go for the beer not the food.

Customer Service SUCKS… They are supposed to be open by 11:00a, I went there and the doors were still locked at 11:22a, I had to call for someone to come open the door for me. They don’t make you feel welcome at all. Once the door was unlocked i went in, no one greeted me although there was staff just sitting around they completely ignored the fact that I was there as if I was a ghost, although I was the only person in there. I approached the bar, stood there are a minute or two before a young lady came out, not uttering one word to me hands me my food and receipt says«Have a great weekend.» and walks off, leaving me standing there. The box they put your food in wasn’t closed, just inside of a bag. This isn’t the first time I’ve been dissatisfied with the customer service. I will take my money else where from here on out. I don’t feel as though I am appreciated as a paying customer. I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE… Until your staff learns the meaning and IMPORTANCE of CUSTOMERSERVICE you will continue to loose customers.

The pimiento cheese burgers are tasty, and the garlic fries are superb(until you wake up).

Decent beer selection from around the world, with a menu that is bar-friendly. Beer selection has selections by type and region. I really like the seasonal selection, as they had beer from NY, MI, NC, and IL. Food is good for a bar, but the menu could use higher-end entrees. –I say that because I’m sure they would sell to the patrons we always see. With that, this is not the place to go for a steak, but a pace for a pimento burger and garlic fries. Fish and chips and homemade pork rinds are really good… Staff is very attentive, and they know the beer if you have questions. Fun place for a casual meal.

Decided to come back and try the food, but that was a mistake. The only personable person was the Host. The server came to theta le, didn’t introduce herself, special s, or what they didn’t have. When time to order, my son asked for Chicken Pot pie, then she said that they didn’t have any. She then proceeded to let us know what else wasn’t available. I ordered the BBQ Salmon with rice but rice was uncooked. Informed server and gave her my plate to take salmon out and potentially put some fresh rice and veggies in new plate. Got plate back with new rice and my original side of veggies still mixed with uncooked rice. Please, train staff to be more connecting with customers and empathetic to their inconvenience.

Lunches have gone down hill here. Used to love them with the special lunch menu. Today I had the mozzarella sandwich. It had a teeny piece of mozzarella not even enough for the whole piece of bread. The peppers were out of a jar and Cut Julianne style and were all on one side of the sandwich. The bread was soggy with tons of butter. Never going for lunch again! Bring back the old menu.

We came here to check out the place. Perfect location and great place to unwind. Decent price and great customer service. Best mushroom burger and garlic fries! We have been ordering their burgers and garlic fries since then.

Ok, I really liked Tyler’s taproom in the past. However, our last visit there was very disappointing. The beer was fine, but the food was an absolute letdown. I got the bbq plate. The bbq tasted days old. I could have gotten better from any grocery store and microwaved it. The worst part of the meal was my wife ordered the chicken salad. She asked if she could replace the chicken with shrimp, the waiter said that’s fine and did not indicate there would be any up charge. I would have been ok with 2 – 3 bucks but would always like to know. We got our bill and it was a $ 5 up charge. Believe me, it was nothing near a $ 15 salad. Unfortunately this was my last visit. There are too many, much better options out there with as good or better beer selections.

Great place to grab a few beers and food. Plus, watch a game! One of my favorite menu items: Chicken and Cheese Biscuits

Pizza is usually really good here but I was back in the area and decided to go grab my favorite pizza with the caramelized onions n mushrooms. In had some spots that had absolutely no cheese, asked them to add some cheese to the area and it came out still missing cheese… Don’t know if the quality has suffered or they were having a bad night since I’m not in the area enough but my friend said that the last time she went she didn’t have a desirable experience and she lives in the apex area. I will note that the house made smoked blue cheese is delicious I wish they sold it by the wedge!!!

Definitely my favorite Tyler’s Taproom locations. Great beer selection and good food. Only downside is that the service can be hit or miss but if it is a hit the servers will remember you!

We’ve eaten here a few times and I keep forgetting to write a review. I really enjoy their veggie plate. The succotash is yummy with corn, zucchini, red onions and lima beans. The greens had alot of bacon and flavor. The garlic fries are perfect for a garlic lover like me. My favorite thing is the red beans and rice– slices of sausage gave it a nice flavor. My only disappointment today was the spicy chicken soup. It was relatively bland and not spicy. Service was perfect and fast. This is one of my hubby’s favorite places.

This place has potential. Very attractive interior. Nice menu, but poor execution. The French dip was soggy, cold, and bland. The dip tasted like it was from a can. The Cuban was ok, but very greasy. Fries were flavorless… I’m guessing the garlic was left off along with salt. We were there at opening, so it was fairly empty. Despite that, it took 10 minutes to get a water refill and a cup of ranch. Definitely not impressed, which is a real shame given the raw potential.

I gave the place four stars because of the Carolina BBQ nachos and garlic fries. The other food I’ve had is average, but if you want a hang out with loud music, a bar, and pool tables, this is the place to be.

When I think of Tyler’s, I have such wonderful memories! Why?! Because this is the place I met my husband on our first date. This is the place my husband proposed to me after our anniversary dinner. This is the place that satisfied my cravings while I was pregnant. This is the place my son chose to celebrate his birthday. This is the place I first placed my baby daughter in a highchair. This is the place we will continue to frequent for years to come. Thanks to all at Tyler’s for the good service, good food, and good memories.

I met my buddy Al here for Lunch as it was a convenient midpoint between our houses. It is nicely tucked in the back of Beaver Creek with ample parking. Very warm and inviting interior space. Nice bar area. The Beer selection is extensive for both tap and bottled. I wanted to find a place that caterers to both craft and standard beer fans. Al doesn’t sway from Bud Light, so this place worked out fine. They have several menus. One for Beer, another for Pizza, and the main menu. The choices for beer and food are diverse and plentiful. This is a great place to come with a bunch of friends and hang out, order apps and drink beer for hours. Very relaxed. I had the Pork Belly sandwich on a brioche bun. It was excellent. I will definitely go back to Tyler’s. Great place.

Since my wife and I just moved to the Triangle area in August, we don’t have a frame of reference for how Tyler’s «used to be». I will say quickly that this location was more pleasant than the one at the Tobacco Campus in Durham. Categorically: Location: 4 out of 5 In the highly coveted area by Beaver Creek Commons, you can make a whole DAY of it just by being sucked into going to eat. Need to smack the soul out of someone for acting a fool at the Super Target? There’s one nearby, and plenty of souls that need smacking particularly on the weekends. Need some paint or landscaping or a lawnmower to spruce up your digs? The Lowes in the area is actually quite nice and nice because you won’t run into the people who pay into HOA(they’re all at Target needing me to smack the soul out of them). Go to where the restaurant is and you can do some light shopping at the Maxx and see a movie as well. The restaurant is about a 10 minute drive for me, so win win I guess. Décor/Ambiance: 3.5 out of 5 I know that many of these«casual dining experience» places look and feel very similar, but I actually like the artificially created«Chum”-iness of this location; while it’s familiar, it’s not quite as forgettable as all of the other places in the area. Also — you don’t realize how large of a space they have until you actually walk to where the restrooms are; I imagine that this is a pretty cool place to have parties and such, particularly with their billiards table. Customer Service: 4 out of 5 I’ve been at least twice: once for lunch during the«normal» lunch hours, and then again for a late’ish dinner(at around 8:30). Both times I felt like we were treated nicely and courteously. The server in the evening even advised us against ordering a certain dish that we were on the fence about, citing the fact that had tried it out because she thought it would be really good, and was horribly disappointed. Both times, we sat in the front dining room. Selection of items on menu: 3 out of 5 This is where people who knew the Tyler’s of yester-year will disagree, but I’m A-OK with their selection of food. Sure, no one wants to go into a restaurant where you can’t find something to eat, but you also don’t want to be bombarded at a casual place, a la Cheesecake Factory. For example, their starters include fried pickle chips, biscuits, tots, pretzels, dips, nachos, and wings. Are any of these items going to knock your socks off? Nope. But are they enjoyable and easy to share. Yep. The salads and soups as I recall were the most sparse of the options, though I typically don’t go to a restaurant for said items, ergo no love lost there. The sandwich selection admittedly spans almost too many genres while leaving out some of the classics. For example, it’s great that they have several veggie options(falafel and portabello), and it’s great that they have regional classics(bbq, pork belly, and fried green tomato/Pim cheese). However, there is a visible gap in what I would consider to be «classics» at any casual place: maybe a Reuben or a Club would be a nice addition. The burger selection is adequate and with the ability to customize, burger lovers should find something decent. When we talk«traditions» menu, I hone in on one, and only one, item: the chicken fried chicken. A staple growing up in east TN, I was hard pressed to find a similar item in Chicago and Milwaukee(where I have spent my entire adult life). Now that I seem to be back in the south, if even for a moment, I see the chicken fried chicken on more menus, which is niiiiiice. Quality: 3.5 out of 5 Pickle chips = good(but not great), but eat them while they’re hot otherwise they get a bit mushy. Fried pork rinds = THEJAM; I could probably eat the whole thing myself, and then immediately have a heart attack. Chicken fried chicken at this location = much better than the one at Tobacco Trail. I find it lovely that this location does not skimp on the melted fat for frying, or for the gravy… mmm… Value: 3 out of 5 Completely on par with the other casual dining experiences. 10 — 12 for a burger, 10 — 15 for entrees, and 3 — 5 for beer specials. Selection of beers: 4 out of 5 Maybe this will change over time, but since I’m still new’ish to the area, I find it delightful that they have so many NC and regional beers. One day, I’ll probably say, «Geez, I wish they had more beers from the midwest» but for now, my Untapped app and I are happy. Heh. Overall: 4 out of 5 Realistically a 3.5+ experience, but conventional rounding gives it the bump. I mean, I’m not going to hit up this place once a week — but it’s on my rotation of places to go every two months or so.
