Pretty average bar with nice outdoor seating. It wasn’t very busy when we went, but they had live music inside. Not sure how good the performers were, as the music does not transmit to the patio. They seemed to have good specials available. The bartender could have been a little more courteous, but maybe they don’t care/rely on tips. I’m not sure I know what the place is trying to be either. We went in with some bias having a «fancy» name like Cabaret, but was greeted by a live(loud) country song and the small crowd packed at the bar by the door. It kind of feels like an upscale college bar without the college students. Not that it is bad, just different and caught us all off-guard. It is close to home and we will probably go back if we want to grab a quick drink after work.

The night we visited they had live music which was pretty decent. The drinks were made well. Service was pretty good. Clean environment. Bathrooms were also clean and well stocked. Parking lot is spacious. We did try their menu and the food was good. Nothing fantastic but it was good and it did the trick. We would return. Maybe on a night with no music so that we would be able to carry on a conversation without yelling at each other.

I came here last night to watch the Iowa vs Michigan State game. It’s a little in the boonies(if you’re not from the area) but it turned out to be a great place to go! It wasn’t too packed and the service was awesome. Also, by the end of the game a band had arrived and started to set up, do s place to see live music too. They had a holiday drink menu, which I LOVE because I’ve been on this incessant holiday drink kick. I had the pomegranate martini($ 8) and stuck with those. Yum, yum, yum! We were a group of four, ordered buffalo wings, pizza with everything, and sea salt fries. The wings didn’t blow my mind but the pizza was good. They have a big projector screen that we watched the game on, that was great. The service was really great. They came around often to bus the tables and were prompt at the bar with filling drink orders, closing tabs, ect. Overall, very positive experience.

I’ve been there a few times, since I live close by, very nice décor. Bartenders aren’t that great and you will mostly be ignored unless you’re their boss or dating them.

Went in on a Friday night. My first time there, I was excited as it’s about a mile from my house. I arrived with a few friends. We found a high table and sat down. We went to the bar and got our drinks, then went back to the table. The bar tender and an older lady came over to our table and asked to see our ID’s. We are all in our early 30’s so we were good. They both left. About ten minutes later they came back and asked if we wanted anything to eat. We ordered a few little things and we asked the older lady if the younger girl was in training because she’s doing a great job. She replied«no, I’m just here to accompany her to make sure nothing happens, we’ve never seen you in here before». We were blown away. We are all young professionals and dress the part. It’s not like we were bikers with tattoos and such(not that I have a problem with that). We were not loud and we don’t use profanity in public. We finished our food and left. Seems like this place is an exclusive little club that does not take kindly to outsiders(who live within a mile of the place). Don’t worry Cabaret, I won’t be returning.

Meh. Walked in on a Monday night around 8, bartender was absolutely RUDE. Very standoffish, curt and slow. There were only people seated at the bar, so you wouldn’t think it would take very long to get served… it did. After our first round, we went and sat outside. When going in for our second round, the bartender was much friendlier, so I don’t know if she was having a bad night or what. Not sure if I’ll be back though.

I went there on a Friday night recently. It wasn’t real busy, but there was only one bartender and one waitress, and they seemed to be a bit backed up. After standing at the bar for five straight minutes without so much as a nod of acknowledgement from any of the staff, I left.
