Uhh went here once. Perhaps I’m not too adventurous to try it again. May try though, wasn’t terrible. The fish was decent and tomatoey beef was good by too oily.

Their food is okay but their service makes them 4 stars since the lady there was so nice. Was patient with me choosing what I wanted and was not rushing me at all.

I love Filipino food! I’m a big fan of pancit, lumpia and crispy pata. I would have pata everyday if I could. Magic Wok in Artesia is my favorite Filipino restaurant and Pinoy Pinay fast food in Cerritos. Since there is not a lot of Filipino places in Anaheim I have visited this place twice. It’s located in Ranch Market, sharing space with a Chinese fast food place. It’s not the best location but okay for anyone wanting to get two and three item combos for much cheaper than Kapit Bahay or food from Jolibee. Different dishes are always served and the selection is not huge. Expect to see about 5 or 6 different Filipino dishes only. The food itself is good but much more selection would be better. The food is also not labeled. Overall, it’s a decent place for Filipino food but keep your expectations low.

I was planning on going to Jollibee to grab some Filipino food but decided to make a quick stop at the 99 Ranch Market. During Checkout I noticed the sign Ranch Ihaw Ihaw which is in Tagalog. The translation is Grill Grill. So after my purchase I walked over to take a quick. The lady behind the counter was preparing some food but quickly stopped to help assist me. There were about 8 items to choose — Dinuguan — Menudo — Lechon Kawali — Adobo — Binagoongang Baboy — Ginasang Upo — Sinigang — Palabok 2 item combination is $ 4.99 3 item combination is $ 5.99 Small Palabok or Malabon $ 2.99 Large Palabok or Malabon $ 4.99 Grilled Chicken BBQ skewers $ 1.50 each Crispy Pata sold by the Lb Fried Lechon skin sold by the Lb. Filipino favorites are Dinuguan, Adobo and Palabok. However, I wanted something different and choose the three item combo Binagoongang Boy(Pork with shrimp paste), Ginasang Upo(Buttery squash with pork) and Lechon Kawali(sweet and tender pork) There is a small seating area with a few chairs and tables but I choose to have my food to go. The food was surprisingly good! I hadn’t expected much but It was yummy! They give you so much food too. Had the food looked fresher I’m sure it would have tasted even better. Who would have thought fast food Filipino in a Supermarket could taste so good.

The barbecue, called Ranch Ihaw Ihaw, will be part of the 99 Ranch store’s hot deli department. Meals will include grilled fish, deep fried pork(lechon) and chicken with side dishes like fried noodles and rice. Customers can also order party trays. The retailer notes that Filipino food contains elements of Malay, Spanish, Chinese and American Lechon lechon lechon! Roasted pig! Yum yum! Really crispy skin and tender pork fat. so greasy but so good! Need to get your pork fix and fast? You should drop by this place inside 99 Ranch and hopefully someone will be with you shortly… cuz the service is horrible. «Hello, can you help me? Do I order here, there, who is next? Do I pay here?» So confusing, maybe some signage, a bell, would help? It takes longer than needed to get service, really. even if you are the only person. Anyway a few of their Filipino dishes for the day I went were: Lechon, crispy pata(deep fried pig hocks), pampano grilled fish, grilled beef and chicken bbq kabobs, guinitan, adobo, caldereta, dinuguan, and pancit palabok. I rounded up a half star, just cuz it’s the first review, and maybe more traffic will attract management’s attention to change a few things. The place apparently opened around Memorial Day 2013.
