This was a horrible experience. After ordering it took a long time over 45 minutes to receive our food. This didn’t make sense as the restaurant was empty. Maybe we should have taken this as a sign of what to expect. When our food arrived I had to send mine right back as it was cold. The portions of fries were small. The stuffed burger was tasteless and was not cooked to order. I ordered medium well and got well. My friend ordered the burger medium rare and got well. I figure the cook only knew how to do well without seasoning. My son had fish and chips. It was cold there were a handful of fries and the tartar sauce was spoiled. The garlic bread didn’t have garlic. The only good thing here was our server was nice and did a good job helping us. The short walk to downtown Disney would be well worth the effort here.

The staff here is so friendly and kind, always attentive to the needs of the diners before they(diners) even realize it. From the host to the servers and staff in the kitchen, you can tell that there is great communication and they really strive to provide the customer with a pleasant dining experience. This hotel restaurant is close to so many other restaurants and fast food places, I could easily drive out and dine somewhere else maybe for a cheaper meal, but at $ 10 for most of the meals that include drink, I would rather stay at Onyx knowing that I will receive service that goes above and beyond :) Btw I was here back in February 2014, and again this October 2015 and service is 10⁄10. Thank you Aurelio, and to all other staff at Onyx whose names I didn’t get, I appreciate all of you guys for what you do: D

This place is a great addition to the hotel ! The food was pretty well considering, the prices were great, and kids eat free! Upgrade to Disney pack and got 50% off our bill, the wait staff is really friendly !! The last night we are there the wait staff dey was extremely slow and didn’t even make it back to refill our water or bring our bill. Overall a great Experiance !

This restaurant is definitely geared towards kids. When you walk in, there are Disney decorations throughout the restaurant. There are televisions at each booth and big TVs over the bar. They have beer and a few other drinks, but I did not explore because I am working. The workers were really nice, but we did not have much customer service because we pre-ordered our food and it was ready when we went on break. There were few people who actually ordered and had a waitress in there. It is definitely family friendly. I would not come here just to eat at the restaurant, but if I was staying here at the holiday inn with the kids, I would definitely eat here.

Attending a certification class in Holiday Inn and we have a choice to place an order for lunch with Onyx or go out on our own! So, for the past 2 days of class I’ve been filling out a menu form and choosing the cheeseburger on there menu because it was soooo delicious and will continue to order my lunch through them and choose another entrée tomorrow! I’m sure the other items on the menu are very delicious nothing bad about there menu and service! Except and say, keep up with the great food and grest service =)

I was in town for a conference and had a late supper here on a Sunday night. It was a very mixed bag. I was dining alone, but still got a comfy booth. There were four place settings there, and no one bothered to take away the other three. That seemed, well, kind of weird. There is a TV in every booth and the atmosphere was kind of cafeteria-like… tile floors, spartan décor. The kids didn’t bother me(after all, this is right near Disney) but as a business traveler, I’m used to a little more ambiance in a hotel restaurant. The server took my drink order right away and I got a really good draft beer(Anaheim Gold — a locally-brewed amber ale). It’s a good thing I had the beer, because a baseball game was on and soon after I arrived, a woman in the booth next to me let out an ear-piercing scream in response to some play. I nearly jumped out of my skin. I ordered the Parmesan Bruschetta, which I imagined would be delicious warm bread with tomatoes and melted cheese, but what I got was plain toasted French bread with a lot of large diced tomatoes piled on top and a little bit of parmesan cheese: all cold. Also difficult to eat because everything basically fell off the bread when I picked it up. They served it on a bed of shredded iceberg lettuce with a mesclun salad beside, which puzzled me. I also ordered the Blue Cheese Wedge salad, which was delicious. The blue cheese dressing was awesome, with big chunks of blue cheese. It had diced tomatoes(which made sense in a salad) and just the right amount of red onion rings. The portion was gigantic — half a head of iceberg lettuce — this would easily serve 2 – 3 people. I asked them to hold the bacon bits and they did, so that’s a point for good service. The server didn’t check in to see how I liked everything, or to refill my water, so she lost a point there. So I enjoyed my giant salad and beer, but will opt for room service next time.

Love this place. Staying at the Holiday Inn we would have breakfast here each morning as well as dinner sometimes. The menu is Classic American. The breakfasts are great(especially the yogurt/fruit parfaits)! The food is great, the staff is always friendly, and there’s a TV at each table, so that’s kind of fun for a casual atmosphere. Would recommend!

After reading a previous review about a seminar boxed lunch, I was hesitant when I had the opportunity to order one. Deciding to throw caution to the wind rather than navigate my way around Disney territory in an hour during spring break, I placed my order for the grilled chicken sandwich. It was great! The chicken breast was thick and juicy and the fries were thick cut, which is my favorite. The whole lunch was hot, fresh and really reasonably priced… so happy with my decision.

Exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant in a hotel. Had better… had much worse. Overall, it’s decent.

Ordered a corona and the spaghetti and meatballs… Beer was not cold and was given a «cold» glass that lasted for a minute Spaghetti and meatballs was not good at all… meatballs were frozen and heated from out of a bag and the pasta was overcooked and slightly mushy

I was attending a seminar here and they offered a menu of items to choose from that would be ready during our lunch. I figured fine, it would save me the hassle of looking for food elsewhere. Big mistake. It was so awful I could barely chew and swallow it. They should really test their menu items out on humans before selling them. I got a chicken cesar wrap with fries. It was completely hot wilted romane lettuce and unseasoned chicken in a generic tortilla. At first glance it looked like a cheap burrito. After biting into it I wouldn’t insult a cheap burrito like that. The fries were clearly from a frozen bag. I’m sure their food is hit and miss but be careful if you’re ordering from a limited menu.

Very nice for a hotel restaurant. We had dinner here once and they have individual TV’s at the booths(great for kids channels!) .We had breakfast from them via room service and it was just fine. It is perfectly fine for what it is — onsite hotel restaurant fare.

Cute restaurant inside of the Holiday Inn. Food was good and pretty basic, no complaints. What was pretty great was the view of the firework show while eating. Get a seat by the windows and sit back and watch the show!

This restaurant is exactly what I would expect from a restaurant inside a Holiday Inn. The hotels have over the years updated their look for a more modern décor and atmosphere, with that came trendier restaurants. I ate here late in the evening for dinner, so this review is just for their dinner menu. There is a good variety of food on the menu, and we started our meal with the fried zucchini sticks. I ordered the steak salad and my husband ordered fish n chips. When the fish n chips came out, they almost looked like fish-sticks only thicker. My husband said they didn’t taste frozen and when he broke them in half I could see it was real cod. Just the look of them made me think frozen dinner, so visually I was a bit disappointed in them. They tasted just, but just average. Nothing over the moon. The steak-salad was good. They cooked my steak exactly how I asked. Overall the food was just average. Not bad but also not spectacular. So three stars it is.

Holiday Inn basic menu, plus a decent buffet. It’s a steal compared to the Disney dining next door!

In a nut-shell, the Star rating I have left for this restaurant say’s it all. In all fairness to the restaurant, their breakfast meal might be better. However, we do not plan on dining there again.

Wonderful place for breakfast while staying at the Holiday Inn. I’ve been craving Mexican food and they had huevos rancheros. I asked for extra red salsa and it tasted house made. Our waitress Maria A. was super sweet and friendly and attentive. We got our own pot of coffee and she even brought to go cups without us asking for them. For a hotel place 5 starts.
