Alley Cat Antiques

Their stuff is boring. Most of it looks like Made in China. The lady the owns the business was very mean, and could care less for what I was looking for and she didn’t want to stop eating her hamburger and drinking her coffee to help me. Went somewhere else and got good treatment!

Alley Cat is a great antique mall along the main drag of Anacortes. It’s very well organized and there is a lot to choose from — in fact, several of the vendor spaces are devoted to specific themes, like cowboy/​western, nautical/​mermaid, wine, tiki/​Hawaiian, vintage cooking, etc. If I was going to do some kind of theme room I would definitely start here. They also have a great outdoor courtyard area full of all sorts of kitschy/​rusting finery — everything from old bicycles to mattress springs to car bumpers just waiting to be repurposed creatively. One thing I like about this antique mall is that it’s not just an antique mall — several stalls feature new (yet vintage-​like) items and signage. The prices are typical for an antique mall (a litlte high, but hey where are you going to find this stuff anywhere else?) — but not outrageously so.
The passageways are a little narrow, so keep your bags (and elbows) tucked in. This is definitely not a place I would dare to bring a small child. Best to plan your visit for an adults-​only outing!

This place is so fun! Definitely the best antique shop I’ve been in around here! Everything is organized into categories throughout the store and it’s kept very tidy. They absolutely have the best quality antiques in the area and they are well-​displayed. The people who work there are so hospitable they make you wanna pull up a chair and talk for hours!

Rudest woman ever. Worst experience of the day antiquing in Anacortes. We could have bought so much just in the front of the store but after her rude remarks with our teenager on crutches, we turned and walked out. That’s ok, others in town got our business today. We won’t be back.

I could have spent all day there… there was SO much to see :) Friendly staff and good prices.
