Clam chowder. Yep!!! Servers, Yep! Ordered mussels and fries with mayo, plus Hefeweizen cheese dip. Everything was awesome, husband ordered BBQ Pork, he had no complaints:-)

We had a party of(4), normal size. Took about 4 min for anybody to acknowledge us to be seated. Service was very slow and continued throughout the meal. For the most part the food was very good. The waffle fries were not hot and barely warm. Took the waitress about 5 min to bring the ranch dressing so the fries were even colder by then. I live around here and have visited this establishment many times. They weren’t even busy,(5) wait staff running around and a number of open tables. There are too many other places to go to, I won’t be back…

Went here on a date and had a great meal. It was live music night, which was acoustic and fit the restaurant well. I liked it, because I could still hold a conversation over the music. We had calamari to share and I had a wedge salad. The calamari was crisp and came with a couple complimenting sauces. The salad was delicious, but prepared in more of a ‘pub’ food style with lots of dressing and toppings. Both our beers were fresh and flavorful. Great place to go for a relaxed meal.

Amazing pizza and seafood. I am a celiac and the menus seems to have changes some. I used to be able to eat the clam chowder, but they changes it and now I can’t eat it. The service is good though. They were out of lots of things

Really enjoyable Saturday lunch. Fish tacos, soup, salad and mussels. Food was delicious and our server Joshua was great. Great beer selection and fun bar. Highly recommend this place!

My family went to the rockfish for dinner to celebrate my sisters birthday, worst idea EVER. We waited an hour to get seated, all the while the waitress completely ignored us and sat everyone else that walked in the door. We actually ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. Of course we had to be the only brown people in the restaurant, stuck in the doorway with absolutely no service. I have never felt so discriminated against. I live right down the street, like the food. but will NEVER go back there. Do not recommend going there if you are any other color than white.

Less than friendly was my experience when asking if I could sit outside on the sidewalk and have a beer with my dog. Look — I’m not an idiot, I know that I can’t take my dog inside an establishment. All I wanted was a beer. The attitude I got from the staff was along the lines of «sure, fine, but take care of yourself». I.e no one will come out to see if the outdoor seating is ok, no one will serve you, you have to buy the beer at the bar and serve yourself, and no bar tabs. It’s interesting when you have a dog. You learn which places will go the extra mile for their customers. Bowl of water for the dog and«I’ll bring the drinks out for you». You tend to revisit such places next time, when you’ve left the dog at home. This was along the lines of «go fu** yourself, but we’d be happy to take your money». They do have tremendous beer though, and I would have been happy there sans the dog. But this is what customer service achieves. Instead of a great experience with helpful staff, helping me to enjoy my time, I’m left wondering why I should ever go back? What’s the incentive to come back sans dog when you made me feel like a worthless inconvenience? Go next door to the Brown Lantern, they actually want you there(novel idea).

Great place to grab a cold beer — lots of selection to chose from and you can sample and cheap appetizers. nice visit!

Good atmosphere. Good service. Good burger. I would definitely eat here again. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. Our party had a variety of food ordered and everyone enjoyed what they had.

Been here a couple times. They have a great selection of beer, and you can get a sampler of them. They also have decent appetizers. The lobster or seafood mac n cheese was tasty, nice and cheesy, which is how I like it. The only complaint I have is that the last time I went, I ordered what was on the«Daily Special» board but the waiter had to come back to tell me that they only served that at lunch time. That’s when I went with the mac n cheese.

Very happy with my experience here. The server got the orders a little bit wrong, but she got them fixed quickly. The food was delicious. The service was great. Popular place and I can see why!

Came in with a party of 20+ today for lunch. I was impressed with the speed and teamwork of the two servers on the floor. Our waitress was quick and friendly, I must admit she was pretty awesome. The food was great as well and everything came out together which usually doesn’t happen when we go out as a large part. My only complaint(can’t please everyone) is that there are only waffle fries available(no straight cut) and the fish was panko breaded and I was anticipating a traditional beer battered fish. I would recommend.

While hosting family from out of state, we really wanted to impress them. Our server, Pam, was awesome. Food was hot and delicious. Huge portions. Super friendly and fast service. Our entire table of 8, including 3 kiddos under 7, all agreed that our whole experience was fabulous. This is not easy, considering that my fam dines out often and are not easy to impress. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I staying here in Anacortes for a couple days before he deploys for a year Last night we came in for dinner and it was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had. I am gluten intolerant and was happy to see GF options on the menu. I have diagnosed Celiac’s disease. I ordered the mushroom burger which was clearly labeled GF. As a precautionary measure my husband explained the seriousness of me not being able to eat anything with gluten. I am well aware that this establishment is not a dedicated gluten free restaurant. I myself am a waitress at an Italian restaurant that has gluten free options so I’m aware of the whole warning speel that comes with the potential of cross contamination etc. When my food came in had waffle fries that had been fried in a fryer with other menu items containing gluten. I had to send the food back to have it remade. When the food came back out it was only the burger with nothing else on the plate. I went here to eat because I was hungry. By the end of the dining experience I stood up and walked out crying without even taking a bite. Now, I know that a hamburger isn’t something to cry about but it was the whole experience. Its really hard having something like Celiac disease and to have places like this not take it seriously. It makes people like me feel like we are being high maintenance when really I just want to eat a nice dinner like everyone else. For anyone that has a food allergy or and auto-immune disease like Celiac I would absolutely never eat here. Its not even worth the chance. They are not educated on what they are serving or how the food is prepared. Our server didn’t make us pay for anything. I did feel bad for crying… I was pretty much hysterical. I just wanted to have a nice time with my husband before he deploys and it was not a nice time. I tipped her $ 50 bucks and ate chips from Safeway for dinnner.

We spent a couple of days on Orcas Island and asked natives where a great place for a «good burger» when we got off the ferry in Anacordes. Every single one said«Oh try the Rockfish Grill, You will love it.» To be fair, that night was family night and kids ate free. However, the burger was not out of this world or even pretty darn good. So we figured if we come back to the area we will give them another chance, but not on a family night. Judy Helm Wright, Pet Grief Coach

Loved the salmon sandwich & fries. Good service. Like the atmosphere. Had the Octoberfest featured beer: light and flavorful. We were there on Halloween, so cute to see all the kids Trick or Treating at all the local businesses. Great town; fun stop!

Every time we visit Anacortes we stop here. Why? *quiet, outdoor seating with shade *healthy and delicious vegetarian and carnivore options(the salads! The veggie burger! The fish and chips!!!) *friendly and efficient service *great selection of microbrews *great small town vibe but with big city food This has been consistent over the years; we always leave satisfied

This was a nice little stop we made waiting for the ferry. We split a burger(«they won’t split it but here’s an extra plate» I guess it is a kitchen without knives) and it was very tasty. The beer was cold and the bartender was congenial. The service was quick. the place is bright and friendly.

Okay. I dont give many 1 stars. We go in with a party of three. The place is set up like a Dennys. We were going to start with the mussels and fries, they were out… okay how about the clams… also out. Wasnt in the mood for calamari, so went right for the Kettle One and tonic… oh sorry we are out… How about Titos vodka. We said sure. She comes back and says your going to laugh at this one. We are out of Titos. We said goodbye. How does a place like this stay in business with so many good choices in town.

Anacortes Brewery is the only game in town in Anacortes(though I suspect that will change as more homebrewers hit the professional scene as has been happening in Bellingham and around the Skagit Valley); but for now they are serving up decent pints and good pub-quality food from this spacious little corner spot on Commercial Ave. Be sure to check out their daily specials(we went on Thursday, when you can get a pint and a 1-topping pizza for just $ 9.99), or show up at 3 p.m. for their good happy hour deals. There’s family seating in the«Rockfish Grill» portion of the restaurant, or if you’re with the over-21 crowd just find a spot at their nice wooden bar. They also serve cocktails, wine, and cider in addition to their large selection of beer taps.
