Yoga Center Amherst (YCA) is great! The space is big and beautiful. The teachers are amazing. Patty and EmbodyYoga will transform the way you think about yoga, yourself, and the world. They have an extensive schedule with something for everyone. The YCA community is supportive and nice. Get an unlimited monthly pass and try a bunch of classes to see what you like. Enjoy :)

The Yoga Center Amherst is one of those magical places that I am so glad I have in my life. The teachers are wonderful. The space is spectacular and full of sunlight. It’s a place that knows what it is and is singular in its purpose: all yoga, all the time. But what strikes me about this place more than any other studio I’ve attended, is the community of people who call this place their yoga home. There is no pretension, no ego, just a pure thirst for teaching, sharing, and joint discovery.

Having taken classes at other studios in the area, I can say that YCA offers the best variety and most enriching experience. Their teachers are top-​notch, and as a man who is new to yoga, I’ve loved learning at this center!

I have been to many area studios in my four years of practice and many were lovely. However, once I landed at Yoga Center Amherst, I knew I had found my yoga home. During my travels to different studios I found that my favorite instructors had been trained by Patty Townsend, founder and owner of Yoga Center Amherst. Last December I decided to try a class with Patty and the result is that now I am in 200hr. Yoga Teacher’s Training at Yoga Center Amherst!
All the teachers here are excellent and they offer classes for all levels seven days a week. The studio is light and airy, and a big bonus is the wafting aroma of roasting coffee that perfumes the studio coming from the coffee shop downstairs.
Wether you are a local considering taking regular classes or an out of town visitor who wants to drop in on a class, you will be very pleased with the classes at Yoga Center Amherst.
