Food was okay, not great. I tried the cheapest pork stew rice dish and the curry rice with fried pork chop(no. 1 on the menu). The cheap one was tiny in portion and the egg was just the boiled egg instead of the marinated ones youbfind in other taiwanese restaurants. The curry rice was not kuch better. The pork chop was not very fresh. Btw, adding $ 5 for a combo isnt really a combo. Its ridiculous.

Trust me. Get the oolong milk tea. It is great. The food choices seem to be growing and i would recommend the braised pork rice. The food and the environment is great. The staffs are not too bad. If I’m not mistaken they sometimes have a buy one get one free promotion, so look out for that one.

the customer service is just horrible. Love the food and the tea, but your employee just give a bad expression to customers. The cashier never smile, she is there to be a machine the drink maker has to put the drink so far away that I have to reach to the end of bar to get my drink. everyone is your café is actting like I don‘t give a fxxk about my job and you better to stop bothering me with your order

I’m kind of stuck between«A-OK» and«Yay! I’m a fan». Kung Fu Tea is a decent option for bubble tea. I first heard of it in NYC and when it came to Buffalo, I was very excited. This KFT is different from the one in the city, as it has actual meals and it is a lot bigger. So if you’re from NYC and you come here, it’s a completely different feel and you might not even recognize it. Anyway, I do enjoy some of their drinks such as the flavored teas, slush, and occasional bubble tea. My least favorite of their drinks are actually the bubble teas. I would get it once in awhile, but I feel like it can taste too powdery. If you want your bubble tea to taste as fresh as possible and not as powdery, try to drink it ASAP and not let it sit for too long. Be aware: KFT drinks are pretty sweet, so I usually always have to adjust its sugar levels to 50% or even lower. Their food here is mediocre. If you’re coming here for their curry though, I would say skip it because you can get it from other spots that would taste a lot fresher and better(i.e., Korean Express or even Dancing Chopstick’s) a few minutes away in walking distance. The interior resembles a nightclub lounge. It has really comfy white seats and during certain hours, it is quite peaceful and quiet– at least enough to get some work done. During maybe around lunch/early evening hours, it can get loud as people come in and out to order drinks/food or groups of people sitting there and just hanging out with their friends. As a UB student, if you’re craving bubble tea, this place will do it for you. Otherwise, I would say this place is just okay.

Kung Fu tea is a decent option for Bubble tea on campus. I would recommend Tea leaf over kung fu tea for the overall quality, taste, and flavor variety of the teas. I have tried their hot milk tea with bubbles, and their taro iced milk tea with bubbles. Both are average. Their macaroons are pretty good as well, but pricey at 2 dollars each! Their tiramisu was 5 dollars for a very small piece, and was not too great. I would only get it again if I was really craving Tiramisu. Out of their food options, their dumplings(pan fried with pork) is a reasonably priced and tasty snack, as well as their chicken popcorn with a spicy chili seasoning. I would probably return if I had a bubble tea craving while on campus.

Came back today and told them what happened last time. The manager offered me a free drink in apology. Next time I would check before leaving to make sure order is right. Really happy with the customer service.

My husband and I discovered this on campus gem by accident one late afternoon and become saddened in the«off season» when their hours change. The food is always on point, but if you are a bubble tea fan, this is the place to be! Delicious!

I have been to the Kung Fu Tea in NYC and was happy to know that this place opened up in Buffalo. My husband and I went there for the first time yesterday. He got some red beans drink and I got the oolong milk tea with herbal jelly, as recommended by the owner. I have to say, this is the best bubble tea place in Buffalo. Unlike some of the other places, you can actually taste the tea and not just sweetness overload. Also, you can adjust the sugar level in your drinks. We also got the popcorn chicken and it was delicious, really like the combination of spices they used. If this place was opened when I was still in school at UB, I would definitely go there all the time. It is probably a good thing because I would probably be broke and gain weight from all the yummy goodness. Since this place is on campus, I imagine it gets really busy during the week. I will just have to go back when the place is not packed with college students, probably late afternoon or on a Saturday.

KFT has really good tea, but it was not worth the wait. I waited over 30 minutes and people who ordered long after me got their drinks before I did. I would’ve left if I hadn’t already paid. If you’re in a rush or have a class to get to within the next hour, don’t come here. Never again.

I love the bubble tea here! My favorite drink is yogurt grapefruit! It’s awesome that you can adjust your sugar levels at this place. They also have really good food, their popcorn chicken is really unique! Overall I love this place!

I was excited to hear Kung Fu Tea was opening on campus since I had been to the locations in Flushing and also spent some time living in Taiwan, I always have a craving for a taste of Taiwanese food and bubble tea. I have been a handful of times and had food here once. I’ve only eaten the tea eggs and dumplings and and both were tasty. One of my favorite things is you can ask for 30% sugar and less ice, which I always get to avoid a sugar overload. Definitely recommend Kung Fu Tea for bubble tea and food as well. The décor is also very nice inside!

I stop by here before classes on a pretty regular basis. The inside looks like a club… sort of… with white couches and tables and dark walls. They have a karaōke room that is rented out by the half hour but I’ve never tried it. I typically get an order of popcorn chicken and a jasmine milk tea with boba, less sugar, less ice. So lemme break that down a bit… KFT allows you to fully customize your order. They have 5 different sugar levels and a few different ice levels. Full Sugar, Less Sugar(70%), Half Sugar(50%), Little Sugar(25%) and no Sugar. Ice… is similar but not as granular as sugar. Then you have an option of including different chewables in your beverage: Boba(tapioca balls), red bean, lychee and so on. I would say that the milk tea is good. It seems like it’s brewed vs mixed with powder. I haven’t tried a lot of other drinks but I’m willing to vouch for the jasmine milk tea. The popcorn chicken is fairly good as well. Nothing super special but a tasty snack before class. If you check in on Unilocal you get 10% off your food order. If you want to use their wifi, it’s free… just use the following password: ilovekft The prices are a bit high, in my opinion. Service seems a bit slow but the food and drinks seem to be made on order and not pre-made and heated. Since this place is staffed by younger students… service quality varies quite a bit. Some folks are nice while others seem to be preoccupied with whatever else they have going on in their lives. Like I said before… I like coming to get a quick snack and for that purpose… I’d say I’m a fan. Management could benefit from training their employees to be consistent in providing better service.

I can’t begin to tell you how I gagged when I had my bubble tea. The sweetness level was just outrageous. If your going to get bubble tea your better off at Tea Leaf. I expected so much out of this place since its suppose to be part of the NYC branches. What A Disappointment.

Finally found this place during a necessary trip to UB north campus. I usually don’t come to campus for food, but I had other business to take care of. I had read all the positives about this place and finally found it in an outdoor courtyard of restaurants near the student union. The atmosphere is pretty neat. Perfect spot to take a date or just for opening up the books. They have a wide variety of different bubble teas(my fav is the taro). They have this neat machine whose sole purpose is to shake/mix the tea — it kept me fairly entertained while I was waiting for my drink! They also serve food but we’ll have to try next time. If you’re craving some bubble tea near UB north, you gotta stop in. The only tricky part is finding a spot to park…

Best bubble tea in Buffalo! This brand is really popular in Flushing, NY and after a long bit of searching finally found it up here in New York. They have like the best bubble tea and they really don’t skimp out on the jelly or bubbles for the teA. If you get both, it will literally take up half the cup XD. I would recommend trying out all of their flavor as the majority of them are good. They also have these side dishes are pretty good. Their popcorn chicken is prob my favorite. Their pork buns, tea eggs, and braised pork are also good. Thinking about it now, most of their dishes are pretty good and cheap. Food aside they have a really nice setting inside the store with plenty of seats and some booths for privacy and larger groups. They also have a private room for karoke but you have to pay for that. Definitely a place to visit if you are around the area. Beware though it gets busy at times since it caters heavily to UB students

I’m often looking for a relaxing place to lounge back and do some work and when Kung Fu Tea showed up during my «nearby» prompt on the Unilocal App for Coffee /Tea, I decided to make the drive down to UB’s North Campus and check it out. Inside, I felt like I was in a mix between a nightclub lounge and a coffee shop and I gotta say it worked. A nice, sleek atmosphere with high top tables and booths for larger groups. I went up to the register to try some of their food and decided on their pork belly buns — which were very affordable and turned out delicious. Pieces of pork belly, mayo on a nice little bun — two coming to my order. I didn’t get any of the bubble tea, but enjoyed sitting back on at a table and doing some work for a few hours. Lots of college kids were hanging out and talking. For some nice light snacks + bubble tea + studying; this place is great!

The students on UB’s campus talk this place up a lot for what it’s actually worth. The atmosphere is incredibly upscale(4 star restaurant worthy) in comparison to the rest of the schools restaurants, however the value that you receive is far less than what is to be expected from the décor. The menu is quite a bit perplexing unless you’re a regular at this restaurant, so I suggest going with someone who’s been before. You might want to consider prepping yourself for this endeavor because the cashiers also had attitudes to be expected from high schoolers. Also, make sure you bring quite a large sum of cash, since the place is quite pricy– I spent ~$ 20 on two large bubble teas. The service was relatively quick, however the quality was less than I would have liked. The taro bubble tea was lacking flavor; I suspect they cut corners by skipping out on the powder that’s put in the milk. The fries, however, we’re very nice. Small, but nice. They have a seasoning on them that is sweet and salty, with assorted Asian seasonings that I cannot quite identify. They were doused in this mixture though and I would have preferred a little less of it. My suggestion is to visit Kung Food off south campus. It has much higher quality for almost half the cost.

We were very surprised to find this hidden gem. We missed a movie tonight, and went for food in place of the movie. The food is pretty cheap we were able to get 2 bubble teas, pancakes, dumplings and pork rice, all for under $ 20. The décor was very clean and ultra modern. Felt a little old, not realizing when we are headed there at this is on a college campus. I am truly glad that we stopped, we will absolutely stop by again at some point.

I was super excited to learn that they had opened store in Buffalo. Upon walking it, it reminded me of the tea houses back in Cali. Plenty of booths and tablesfor groups of friends to sit down. Décor was very modern with lots of TVs showing various channels. Kung Fu Tea is a chain, so their drinks are pretty standard. My only recommendation would be to ask for ½ sugar because they tend to be very sweet.

I have been to my share of kung fu teas ln the east coast and this is by far the best one so far. The décor, the spacious seating, the small eats food menu makes it one of a kind. I would like to recommend the pork belly buns! It just melts in your mouth. Lets not forget about the fries and the special sauce that comes with it. I want to know the darn ingredient. Wont be able to find this sauce anywhere else. So much delciousness in one place!
