Great food, and amazing service. We ordered the jerk chicken(AWESOME), and they brought us a free appetizer, free of charge(very good). I bet everything on their menu will be great, and you’ll be glad you came. A+++ Service A+++ Cleanness A+++ Restaurant! Will come back soon!

/TL;DR Oddddd location. Pretty good food. /ATMOSPHERE There isn’t much to say about that. It’s MUCH larger inside than you would think from the odd shopping center location. /FOOD Had the jerk chicken lunch special which was great. Lots of food and a decent price point(sub $ 8). /SERVICE The counter guy was pretty friendly and helpful. I think I saw the owner, who did not look very happy or friendly. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars — If I’m in the area, I’d pick something else. 3 Stars — I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars — I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars — I would go out of my way to dine here.

I actually love the food and have not had a problem until recently. I orderd food to go, one item being soup. The owner was extremely rude and they put the maybe 4oz of soup in a foam container that is meant for food, not liquid. He claimed it wouldnt spill when I asked. So of course I spent $ 9 on soup that ended up in the shopping bag. I’m not happy! Im sure they can invest in the foam cups with lids for their soups, that’s better than losing a customer.

I really don’t want to give it any stars, but I’ll give it one because I’ve eaten here bf and it was good. I’ve never experienced this before… any where. I am pissed. I ordered the jerk chicken to go, when I got home to sit down to eat the chicken, I see blood. It’s under cooked something serious. I don’t understand. There were no other customers there… at all. The guy that took our order even acknowledged that it was quite slow for a Friday. So, please tell me why I was given under cooked food. I am so disgusted. I called them because there was no way that I driving all the way back there, plus they would be closed by the time I did. The guy that took my order also answered the phone. I informed him of my under cooked food and he was by no means too concerned. I asked to speak to the owner, at which he said was not there, but he took my name and number saying he’d have her call me. The owner did call me and credited back the money to my debit card, but come on man, really? See photos.

THANKYOUMUNKEY!!! YOUWERETHEBEST… I simply enjoyed my 3rd experience with Spice. You and Adam were professional and quick, In a restaurant setting you guys didn’t come across like you were rushing me and my family to get out of your establishment. It really seems as tho you are cautious of your customers time, which means a lot. «Time is money» and my money was well spent. The food was amazing… During this visit I had oxtails, my boyfriend had Rasta pasta, and his mother had fish. The portions are price worthy which makes the visit so much more enjoyable. Spice has a wonderful asset which are you guys!!! Should you or your superiors have any further questions or concerns about my most recent visit with your restaurant please feel free to email me at . Best Regards, Mrs. Outen

Wish I could give it a 4.5! Huge portions, I’m literally struggling to my car as I type. Prices are extremely fair for the portion size. Only down side is they don’t have a fountain machine so beverages are individually priced! I’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time dining here, and it will most certainly be my last. The jerk chicken was not thoroughly cooked and looked like it had dried out from sitting for hours. The rice was so dry and crunchy and seemed like it had been sitting quite a while as well and did not have any peas with it(as advertised), the cabbage was over cooked. the only good thing was the plantains… I presume, if they don’t sell it quick enough, they will just keep it until they do.(my impression, based on my experience) Also, I ordered a drink ‘ting’. that is supposed to be carbonated. it was flat and obviously must have expired. Wasn’t impressed at all… overrated.

I had the Jerk chicken plate which was pretty good. The restaurants layout is a little on the different side, but it works. Who I’m assuming is one of the owners came out and was watching TV in the middle of the restaurant during lunch time, also a little unorthodox. Overall good experience and decent prices.

Sad Sad Sad, First time I went with my husband and we had such a great experience we went back within a week. Second time insured us to NEVER go back. The first time food was hot, good and the service was Great but then we went back with my whole family was embarrassed that we recommended going there. The food was HORRIBLE the beef patties were dried out the fish was lukewarm and the chicken was still red and uncooked in the middle and the rice and peas tasted nuked the cabbage was nothing to write home about either. So I called myself going to speak to someone to find out the lady I was speaking to was the owner. She was rude and curt. I tried nicely to make suggestions as she must have taken them as a personal attack. Needless to say we will NEVER be back. I really couldn’t believe that happened after having such a pleasant experience the first time

I love this place. One of the best restaurants up here in our part of Alpharetta/Milton and the best Afro Caribbean joint in Atlanta. If you’re looking for authentic tasting oxtails, curry goat, or escovitch then give this place a try. The plantains are awesome! The food has never been bad and I have turned on a lot of folks to it. They even have the pineapple soda and cream drinks from the Caribbean. And they deliver! One of my favorites.

Got delivery. Ordered the jerk chicken. Was pretty ok. Not spicy or as seasoned like I am use to when it comes to jerk. But wasn’t bad at all.

I can’t name a single thing I liked about this food. The Shrimp Rundown had absolutely no flavor. The white rice had more flavor than the entrée(no exaggeration). The cabbage was dry and undercooked and their ribs were dry as well. I had high hopes about this place but it turned out to be a complete disappointment.

I am a firm believer in giving good, honest, consistent reviews and I wanted to say that I tried this restaurant again for lunch today. It was fantastic! I ordered the jerk chicken and was so happy that I did. The only thing I would say is that the beans and rice were a little dry but that’s because I normally ask for oxtail gravy to be poured over the top at Jamaican restaurants but forgot this time-the average person may love them as is. My co-workers and I will definitely be paying them another visit.

The food here wasn’t bad but it certainly was not the greatest. I had a chicken patty and that was probably the best part. I had Curry chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. It was kind of blandish. It certainly needed more seasoning and flavor. I am not sure how it is cooked and what they use but it definitely needs to be worked on a bit.

Across from Cue by Montana’s. The patties are really good. They have cool specials like the jerk burger and they of course have large portions. I took a chicken patty and brown stewed chicken to go. The stewed chicken is less sweet and seasoned with red pepper. The chicken patty crust had more chew then the traditional yellow dough on patties. Good lunch spot if you work in Alpharetta

This place is fairly new! The price is ok. The chicken rice and peas are good, but the cabbage is off. The plantains were over cooked. For 7 bucks, I would eat here for lunch, but if they improved, I would have no problem at all. They never have yams? Really

Spice Afro Caribbean Cuisine opened a few months ago. So far, I have eaten here twice. The first time I had the oxtails which were accompanied with rice and peas and cabbage. The oxtails were okay and so were the rice and peas; the cabbage was very good! I rarely drink sodas, but Pink Ting is great and is sold here. I also like trying foods I have not previously eaten. I noticed salt fish and ackee on the menu. I did some research on ackee and decided to try it on my second visit. The cooked ackee looks like scrambled eggs, but do not taste like eggs. They have their own flavor. The finish on which my palate picked up was slightly sweet, not bitter. The saltfish and ackee was accompanied with rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. It was a good dish, something I would eat again, but not often.

This is a very tough review! I took my two kids here and sat in the dining room. Like another review stated the ambience is kind of strange for milton GA but would fit Kingsport Jamaica. The menu is very simple with the basics of chicken goat and pork. All with the standard Jamaican sides. We ordered the jerk chicken, spicy rice, cabbage and plantains(picture posted)! It was FANTASTIC!!! Very spicy. The other dishes around the table were very good. I was torn between a 3 to a 5 rating on this one. Food came close to a 5 in my book for what it is. I highly suggest trying this place… for the food. If you are looking for all the local crowd not here. Very good authentic Jamaican dishes. We will be back!!!

So far so good. This is my second visit within a week. I’ve had the same thing each time — brown stew chicken with rice and peas. It comes with cabbage and fried plantain and is very good. It wasn’t busy either time I went in there but there have been a customer or two each time. The space is decorated nicely and more elaborate than you usually expect from caribbean takeaways. I’ll have to try dining in. They also seem to have some space for expansion which is promising. The service was really friendly each time I’ve been in there. The only thing I would say that I noticed was that the meal I got on Sunday and meal I got yesterday were not consistent. On Sunday the rice in the rice and peas was a lot firmer(could have a used a couple more seconds but not that big a deal) and the chicken was not peppery(also not a problem. It was a great meal). Yesterday, the rice in the rice and peas was nowhere nearly as firm and the brown stew chicken had considerably more pepper and the cabbage was prepared a little differently. I really liked both versions of my meal so, whatever. It’s useful information to know. I was told that they will be expanding their menu to include more African dishes and I’m looking forward to, hopefully, the addition of things like peanut punch, guiness punch, carrot juice etc.
