Mellow Mushroom

Just finished lunch there and we love mellow mushroom pizza. Found this one to be more expensive than the one next to my house in peachtree corners. The service was a little slow and the pizza was not up to regular mellow mushroom standards. We won’t go to this location again.

I eat here almost 3 times a week for lunch. I love it because there’s a great variety of food and the service is always amazing. David is so sweet and so kind every time I see him. Today at lunch, Alaina was super smiley and very attentive. I enjoy coming here to eat ;)

I decided to go here for lunch it was clean quiet and the food was great. The waiter was quick and precise I didn’t have a problem with this visit at all and I’ll be back.

Food took an hour with nearly empty place and was cold. So it was cooked and just sat there for half that time but the waitress that didn’t care about us and wasn’t sorry forgot about it or something. Food was good, but terrible service.

I used to love Mellow Mushroom. But this last year they have let me down. First of all for an pizza that costs three times as much as Dominoes it does not have enough ingredients and sometimes the coverage is very sparse and it goes half way to the rim. The lately if we leave the pizza in the refrigerator it turns an ugly yellow. Go to Ray’s Pizza.

Something I never thought I’d write but they made the absolute worst pizza I have ever had. It was a large half Thai Dye, half Gourmet White (which I’ve had many times at other MMs) and it tasted like it was soaked in vinegar. It was like eating a «Hot Circle of Garbage!» :-(

We stopped in the other day for our usual pizza and got a surprise, they had just launched burgers !!!
You must stop in and try the newly launched «Herb» veggie burger and «Carnie» beef burger! I had the Herb, fiancée’ had the Carnie burger.
Mellow is now not only my favorite go to for pizza (it’s the best) now add favorite place to go for a veggie burger!
It is served on a brioche bun, with avocado, the yummy mellow garlic aioli sauce, cheddar cheese, sliced tomato, romaine lettuce (I had them leave tge onions off) it was yummy I’m craving another.
He absolutely loved his burger as well. All on a brioche bun, certified black Angus beef burger, with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, tye yummy garlic aioli, romaine lettuce, spiced tomato and pickles (he doesn’t like them so I ate the pickles, yum!).

When you read this review, you must keep in mind that I am from NJ and the NY/​NJ area is home to some of the best pizza in the country (not looking to get into a New York style vs Chicago style debate. However, I prefer Chicago style. Shhh. Don’t tell anyone). I’d like to think I know good pizza and have pretty high standards when it comes to pizza.
Enter Mellow Mushroom. I’m not really sure how to describe the pizza from Mellow Mushroom. I’ll call it interesting. I had a slice of their supreme pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. Both pizzas were just OK. The BBQ chicken pizza also had bacon on it and bacon makes everything better. The one plus for the supreme slice was that it did have tomatoes. I actually really like tomatoes on my pizza.
The pizza wasn’t very good, though. Not sure how to describe it except for the fact that it wasn’t very good. The crust almost had a sweet, pastry-​ish taste to it which I found incredibly strange. Sweet is definitely not how I want my crust to taste. It was odd. I have to imagine the Alpharetta area has some better pizza than Mellow Mushroom but I guess I could be wrong.

We always love Mellow Mushroom for the food, but I just tried this location out for the first time. My husband was surprised that it seemed a little small, but I think it was adequate for the clientele. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were warm and friendly. I overheard other wait staff interacting with other tables and they also seemed helpful. When asked questions about the food the wait staff looked into the matter and quickly got back to the customers. It was nice to see customer service in action.
As far as food goes from Mellow Mushroom’s in general — Their hummus, greek salad, pizza and calzone’s are always great. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with their food. Anytime I’ve ever tried a drink from their drink menu it has been worth it. They had a chocolate martini at one time that was delicious and I would recommend others to try, if you like sweets.

Went for lunch on March 29, 2015, Sunday about 1pm, place wasn’t busy. I ordered a steak and cheese hoagie sandwich, thinking it wouldn’t take long, boy was I wrong!!! A party of 3 sat in front of me and ordered a pizza after me and they got their pizza at the same time I got my hoagie sandwich!!! The wait staff was average, the cook was just messing around, I could see her from my table. The steak and cheese hoagie sandwich was ok, but I have had better and oh I also ordered the small size, yet I was given the large one and charged for the large one. The waiter should pay closer attention to his customers, no one ever offered me a refill on my soft-​drink. I’m not going back again, I can get much better for my hard earned money.

Best Pizza around! Also try their mushroom soup, pretzels and wings. If you want to take out order ahead and give it time — everything seems to be made fresh. Something for everyone
Great for dinner and lunch

My family’s new favorite pizza joint. They are usually pretty busy, the music and vibe is very chill, but most importantly the pizza is out of this world. The stuffed portobello and cheese bread are our go to appetizers, and I feel like we try a new pizza every week. My favorite so far is the Thai pizza, it sounds crazy to put curry and chicken on a pizza, but whatever they do, it’s delicious. The garlic parmesan crust on the regular pizza is probably the best I’ve ever had.
My office orders their catered food for events and I can say it tastes as good as in the store and has never gotten to us late. The only complaint I have is that they don’t deliver to our home, but it’s so worth the drive.

I eat paleo so sometimes eating out can be a challenge. I was delighted to find at Mellow Mushroom non-​steroid meats and vegetables and a gluten free pizza alternative. The staff there is very friendly and I enjoy my pizza indulgence while sticking close to my paleo!

Based on the lambasting this location has taken here, I thought I’d share the good experience I had at lunch today. Our waitress was friendly, our food was served quickly, and the pizza was good as always. They play great music too. While I was there they played T. Rex, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Tommy Tutone, Tom Petty, and Creedence. I walked out with a full belly and a happy smile on my face. We’ll be back again.

I used to be a regular here but after today I won’t be. A few weeks ago all the staff walked out and quit. I’m usually in here at least once a week and since the new staff rolled in things are awful! Some of the staff is rude and it takes forever to get your food. On top of that these poor people have been working with no AC ALL SUMMER!!! I used to suffer through it with them bc the staff was so great but now it’s not even worth it. I’ll be going to windward now!

I called and spoke to a girl here about scheduling a reservation. She told me she scheduled us. When we arrived we were informed that they do not take reservations and they would not seat us. I asked to see the manager and he just stared at me and said No.
The customer Service is TERRIBLE, I will never come back to this Mellow Mushroom EVER again.
The owners should definitely look into firing current management and replacing with someone who actually knows how to run a pizza place

I went for lunch by myself after a busy morning at work a few days ago. I ordered slice of pizza and small salad. They said they ran out of slices of pizza. Hmmm, well that stinks for a lunchtime pizza place. But, ok, I was hungry. I decided to try for a cup of Mushroom soup. I was served both my salad and soup and began to enjoy. The salad was delicious, fresh, good veggies, wonderful dressing. I took a sip of the soup and it was like cornstarch thick with mushrooms. Almost like thick brown gravy. Since the server never came to check on how I liked everything, I let it sit. When it was time to go, I explained how I didn’t like the soup, seemed inedible, way too thick, maybe an off batch, and wasn’t like soup at all. I asked the waiter to take the soup off my bill, HE REFUSED! He said, «well that’s, that’s the soup». He then seemed angry at my request, tossed the check on the table at me. I politely paid, left a small tip for his service, but I won’t be back! Such a small request for one customer.

The only thing that would make them better would be if they wouldn’t take as long but other than that it’s so good

My daughter and I love to eat at Mellow Mushroom. This location is however the worst one I have ever been to! I went about 7 months ago to this location and the service was terrible and the food was terrible too. I remember saying that I would never go back. Well I did and nothing had changed! The service was terrible, the waiter we had was a joke!!! It took forever to get our drinks and then my salad took over and hour to come out! The soup was cold and I asked for it to be warmed up and it came back boiling hot! I had to wait 10 minutes to eat it. They were messing orders up left and right.
I will NEVER go to this location ever again!
Honestly they need to shut it down or get a whole new staff!

After a long St Patty day, the fam decided to get a pizza. The kids wanted a slice of cheese pizza, like the menu states, but the server explained not only do they not serve slices for dinner but they don’t have kids menus. The drink glasses were dry before the waiter decided to refil them. Two of the 6 plates had residue from the previous diner on them. I like the white pizza but my patience are thin with Mellow Mushroom.
No kids menus, no slices for dinner, poor service= no return.
