I agree with everyone regarding customer service. I asked what I assume was the manager if they could get something down for me and she said everything was already down. I was ready to leave because of how she responded until someone came around to grab it UP a where it was(not down like she so rudely claimed). I’m in the customer service industry and they need a lesson in over exceed expectations… do not just meet them. Next time I will go off on them

The manager of this store extremely rude and lazy and shows no appreciation for the community she is working in. The teenage cashiers show no enthusiasm. It’s obvious the manager hires people who exhibit her likeness.

I totally disagree with each of the other people who commented. The customer service is prefect depending on who you get. The registers are slow because they’re fairly new so you should give it a little time. Many of the teenagers do care but the working hours are so long that there hey get tired. You don’t have patience, don’t complain about it.

Everything here is overpriced(look online for a coupon ahead of time), but I usually buy aluminum platters and warmers from here for big parties and bbq’s. I have to agree with the other reviewers about customer service. It seems to be teenagers running this place and each time I visit for something, it’s never a quick in-and-out. The associates always seem to take a long time to ring up customers and there is never usually more than one person on a register at once. I always find myself waiting in line for a long time even if there is only one person ahead of me.

Worst customer service!!! I came in on Halloween to grab 1 piece for my costume that I forgot. It was busy as expected seeing at it was Halloween. I looked around a little bit, found my item, and went to check out. None of the employees seemed friendly what so ever. When I checked out the girl was unbelievably rude! No «Hi how are you?» «Did you find everything okay?» Nothing. All she said to me was«This is final sale.» She gave me my total and wrapped my item in a bag. After I paid she walked away from the register! She didn’t say«Thank you have a nice day.» Again! Noting… I understand that it’s Halloween and you are swamped but that doesn’t give you an excuse to be so rude! I’ve worked in retail and service industries for about 4 years and I know when things are busy and you get overwhelmed but honestly that is a shopping experience I don’t want to experience again… by some of the comments here the store needs a serious attitude check.

They need some serious customer service training! No enthusiasm at all, which is ironic since they work at PARTYCITY! Even the«manager» is one of the most sloth-like people I have ever dealt with! Never coming here again!!!

I’ve shopped at Party City in Geneva/St. Charles for years. I happened upon the Algonquin store and Alex in the personalized invitation section was so helpful! Deciding on invites/colors/wording can be stressful and she made the process simple!
