Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Fast and amazing service in terms of all five guys I’ve been to. It’s one of the few that actually have a milk shake machine. Fries are okay, seemed to be missing a taste I usually have. The tomato that I got was really hard and green in the center. Other than that the burger was cooked perfectly, the burger after removing the tomato tasted awesome, and the shake was amazing. Very convenient to where I was staying today too.

So the burgers are good, and the staff is usually friendly. My only gripe is that lately the amount of bag fries aka bagglers has decreased to about nothing. Less value for your money there. Just increase the price of the fries a little to make up for it.

Great service, great food. I had my first Five Guys Milkshake today and it was great. I was astounded that the staff was so friendly and it really shows that they value your business.

Pretty standard for a Five Guys, which means good. Well done burgers, free salted peanuts, and hot, salty fries. They have shakes here now with several add in options including bacon. Yes, you can add bacon to your shakes.
The place is small, but decently laid out. If it’s busy you’ll have a hard time finding a table, so it’s something to keep in mind. This location is right off a busy road, but since it’s at a light it’s easy to access.

Five guys is the best. People ask if this is a preferred place for burgers and fries. This is the only place to go when you want burgers.

Wow, fantastic burgers and quick orders. The cashier was very helpful since we’d never been to a Five Guys before. He helped explain how everything works and what the options were. The burgers were fantastic and the orders were quick considering that they made the burgers after you order them. Wide open kitchen, so you can see them making everything.

Bacon cheeseburger fixed the way I like it is just the best! There might be a better burger out there but I don’t know where it is!!!

First time I tried five guys I thought the burgers were tasteless and overpriced. Three years later I decided to give them a try again and it must have been the location I went to because the burgers here are pretty tasty as well as the shakes. Quick and friendly service.

This five guys location consistently puts out a great burger and fries. None of the problems I’ve had other locations with tasteless meat.
Only one draw back, the music is so loud you can’t hear them announce your number

New digs for this Five Guys. New and shiny and oh so good. I always get the small cheeseburger with mushrooms and grilled onions, yum! The fries are so fresh and oh so good! I love that they have malt vinegar, as I am from New England and that is how we serve them up there. Always pleasant staff.

I love coming to this Five Guys because the employees always greet me as soon as I walk in the door and are genuinely friendly. I also love the fact that they are not stingy with condiments — you can take as much of anything you need! Good classic rock and punk music is always being played in and outside of the restaurant. This Five Guys is always kept very clean and I’m very impressed with all of the employees. The burgers and fries are delicious and always super fresh as well as the milk shakes (so good!) Keep up the fantastic work.

I give this location 4 stars just because of the size of the interior. It is a little small. The staff is nice and the food is good. The only thing that isn’t as expected are the Cajun fries. They had almost no seasoning. Maybe we got a bad batch.

This is the ONLY Five Guys I patronize. Consistent food, consistent service, consistently immaculate interior. The manager here runs a tight ship and his employees do a solid job. This place reminds me of the original Five Guys location (since closed) on which they built their empire. Other shops may be hit or miss, but I have yet to have a soggy fry or ill-​prepared burger here. If you have a choice between the one in Old Town and the one south of here on Route 1, come here. Get the LIttle Hamburger/​Cheeseburger unless you want to commit meat-​cide.

This location is the only Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurant, I like. The service is good and food is great. But the parking situation can be improved. =)

People rave about the burgers. They are very good. They are also cooked medium well, as an industry default. Keeps your burgers consistent from Five Guys to Five Guys.
The serving size for the fries is huge. Get a large, and share with your group.
Food is very good, atmosphere is good, they serve birch beer, and peanut shells can be swept on the floor.

As the young gentleman was cleaning the front door he opened it for me to enter. The staff is fantastically friendly. Way to turn the place around!
Somehow or another I always forget about the peanuts until I’m getting ready to walk out.

The Guy and I stopped in here after a day of shopping. You can never go wrong with Five Guys. This location was a lot smaller than most that I have been to. However, the staff were very nice and extremely friendly. Our food was ready in no time.

This was a fresh, delicious burger (little cheeseburger). The staff was friendly and professional and seemed genuinely happy. As far as cleanliness goes, the restaurant was immaculate! Highly impressed!

If you’re looking for a heaping helping of meat and starch, this is an excellent place to get both. The burgers here are substantial, you’ll definitely feel some weight sitting in the gut area after eating here. Then again, I opt for the double cheeseburger with bacon, so I don’t do myself any favors there. They’re also delicious. The meat is fresh and well-​prepared, and the wide-​range of available condiments offer a lot of options to customize to your personal taste.
The fries might be my favorite among burger places in the area. Piping hot, crisp on the outside and chewy through the middle, they’re exactly what I want in a fry. They also don’t mess around with their serving size. A regular fry will give you a mound of food to eat, plenty to share with another. You basically get a cup full of well-​seasoned fries, with a few extra scoops on top for good measure. You won’t be going home hungry.
I’ve been eating here for years, including a several month span in 2009 where I was traveling a lot for work, and ended up coming once a week. Never once have I been disappointed by the quality or taste. They’re amazingly consistent. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and do a great job keeping the place clean and bright. The recent addition of shakes to the menu fills the one void they had for me when it comes to getting my burger fix on. It’s my go-​to place to satisfy my gutbomb burger craving.
The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because it seems like the prices have been creeping up a bit over time. While I don’t regret the money I spend here, I feel like it’s a bit pricey for a quick-​burger place. Having said that, I get the double burger with fries and sometimes a shake, so if you’re not a person who is down to eat your day’s worth of calories in one meal, you could probably keep the costs lower.

Visited on our way home from Reagan National to pick up my 17-​year old son for his summer visit. Had read a few days prior that this was one of the locations where milkshakes were being tested, and thankfully it was a convenient stop.
Our first visit to *this* particular Five Guys, although the boyfriend and I are seriously huge fans of the chain. They were busy, it being lunchtime on a Sunday, but the staff was friendly and very capable of handling it. Both of my guys ordered a milkshake, then we shared two small orders of fries (one cajun, one plain) and each of us got a bacon cheeseburger with our own choices of toppings.
The burgers, were as always, divine, they got our orders perfectly right. The cajun fries disappeared faster than the plain, but we ate almost all of both. Both my son and the boyfriend *adored* the milkshakes. As a matter of fact, both suggested *rather strongly* that I Unilocal this meal to provide definitive positive feedback to continue producing the milkshakes: D
Tables were clean despite being packed, restroom was clean. We will return, especially if they keep serving milkshakes.

With the new milk shakes, and the classic menu, Five Guys is a tasty place to eat. The burgers are note worthy, beefy, and generously topped with fixings. The service, unbelievably memorable. For a part of a chain, this is an awesome place to get the essentials (hot dog, burger [with or without cheese], fries, etc) at. This is a Northern Virginia landmark that changed this corner of Rt 1 dramatically.
What In and Out Burgers is to California, is what Five Guys is to Virginia.

Been coming here since they first opened. Recently, they closed for renovations, leaving us in the lurch for a walking-​distance burger-​joint (other than McD’s or Wendy’s …and those guys don’t really count, any way).
With the re-​opening, they’ve added milkshakes. Nice addition, but, probably the only time we’ll be getting them… because can’t really make a habit of drinking million-​calorie drinks at my age.
The thing that made me happiest on this visit? Seeing that the folks who worked at this location were all brought back after the five-​week closure. Spoke to the manager, and, apparently, they’d gotten this store’s staff hours at other stores so they could keep getting paid during the closure. Another of their locations will be undergoing similar upgrades and will similarly have their staff relocated. So, good food and really good business practices. Really kind of weird seeing the same counter– and kitchen-​faces at a fast food joint for *YEARS*

Decided to try this out for lunch on at Saturday around noon. Getting in and out was a little tricky and someone decided to park in a non-​parking spot and eat inside which made it even more awkward.
I got a little bacon cheeseburger with mayo. raw onion, pickles, and jalapenos. By the time I got home the burger was a little soggy, but I have had it before so I know that this happens when you try to take them home. I tied my fries up inside of the paper bag so the condensation made them a little soggy too.
It was a tasy burger though all in all.
