Douche-opolis. Full of Albany inbreds who put on business clothes and greased hair. but are as sophisticated as Bart Simpson meets Archie Bunker meets Joe Theisman. With the Merry Monk and the Speakeasy nearby there are far better options.

We went there for convenience sake. Big mistake. One bartender and one waitress. The food was cold and wrong. The bartender went back and got correct dish still cold, said he would take some money off bill. Never got the chance to come back. Got bill just paid it tipped the waitress. Not there fault. I wouldn’t suggest going there if I was in a hurry before a show at the Times Union Center.

Buffalo Chicken sandwich dry, service below par, beer selection average! If I was not making a quick stop from an upstairs event I would no be here!

I’ve gone in a few times before games at the Times Union, and only because it’s literally right there. The selection and prices are nothing to write home about. On top of that, the last time I went, they were out of about half the beers — the bartender told us it was something about using up the kegs for the end of the season, but not ordering new ones. Being shot down on 3 beers before getting to one that’s actually available is no fun. On top of that, I think the space is used poorly. It feels awkward to be in a big group there. If you’re going to something at the TU, I guess it’s an option, but you’re probably better off elsewhere, unless you REALLY need the convience of the proximty.

I haven’t been to this place since it changed names(whenever that happened), but stopped by over the weekend for a quick drink before an event at the Times Union Center. Price weren’t too bad given it was right before an event and that it wasn’t bottom of the barrel beer. 2 beers and 2 wines was $ 22. Yeah, if there’s a show you should expect it to be loud and crowded. The place was mobbed(as expected before the Jeff Dunham), but the drink choices were plentiful(unexpected, but in a good way). They must have had 15 – 20 taps. It took me 5 minutes to get served. I’d like to go back and check out the food when there is no event going on.

Yesterday was there with some friends before the jeff dunham show next door. The place was packed so i expected a wait BUT I waited at the bar at least 5 minutes after waiting to get to the bar before catching 1of the bartenders eye, he gave me what i thought was be with you in a minute nod !!!. instead he handed a beer to the one he had served before me that came after but was closer to where he was standing then went on break ! Leaving it seems 1 girl with 20 or more wanting drinks! i still was trying to catch her attn when he returned after his break and went right back to his spot and never moved much, A few sitting at the bar started telling the girl i had been trying to get a drink for 15 mins and she looked right thur them and walked to the end where a guy she seemed to know was waving her with money then finally a employee {if not a manager should be } came outta nowhere and straight to us and got my drinks and the others around me waiting also ! The service staff need a lead person or they wont be there long. Unless the few regulars they seem to pander too keep them open. We watched a couple try to pay there tab for at least 20 minutes and note the show next door was about to start !! Then a waitress who we never could find the hour we were there came to me to ask if the couple who had been at the table next to us had left money on it and then said she thinks they walked out on the bill !!! Not a Fan of dine n dash and hope they paid at the register ~~~BUT~~if time is money they paid that bill in pure wait time! Being a business owner for 17 years i say good luck at least when you have a huge show next door staff up for the couple hours you gotta know your gonna be packed !!!

Located in the Times Union Center in downtown Albany. Perfect for a before-event beer or cocktail. The best thing to say about this place is that the current happy hour(which I believe is 4pm-8pm M-F) offers 2 for 1 drinks. Any drink. Buy one and they back you up on the next one. You really can’t beat that! The food is pretty good here. Pretty much run-of-the-mill bar stuff: burgers, wings, salads. If you are in downtown Albany and need to eat lunch fast, this is a good place to go. Seems like they have a lot of local business people who come through needing to get in and out fast, so they’re used to that. The ambiance of the place could use a bit of pepping up; it’s a bit sterile.

Came here to celebrate the end of my trip. The happy hour is awesome. Everything is two for one. I had a couple of nine dollar martinis for nine dollars. Both the Espresso martini and the Forbidden Pomegranate were delicious and strong. The bartender checked in at her leisure, so some people were waiting to get drinks when the place was not busy. But when she did, she made it count with some good drinks. The happy hour alone is worth a visit, especially if you’re going to an event at Times Union.
