Food Average. Service poor. No reflection on Hilton Garden Inn above. I was staying there and thought it would be convenient to eat at the Recovery. Not busy and once served it was the last I saw of my waiter. Food is typical sports bar. nothing exciting

I came for a crunch burger and grilled wings. Grilled wings were fine, except the fact that I got no blue cheese. Second, I ordered my burger med well and I got extra well done, with fries that are probably an hour old and no seasoning on them… mind you I went as soon as my food would be complete. Very dissapointed.

The location is convenient to Albany Med and the staff is usually friendly. The food is certainly satisfactory given the kind of establishment it is. The dessert menu is often lacking various key components listed, such as the waffle cones for the sundae and the peanut butter cookie… always out of something. I live in the neighborhood but would not go out of my way to come here(especially since my sweet tooth is always disappointed) unless I’m at Albany Med to visit someone.

«A Good Recovery» by Josh K. With high definition flat screen televisions lining the wall even over the urinals in the Men’s room, a decent selection of rotating craft brews including Crossroads Outage IPA, and some actually pretty phenomenal fat, juicy, and succulent chicken tenders, the Albany branch of the Recovery Room chain of restaurants is a much better than your average sports bar. The rest of the food is a big meh, and overpriced, and although crowded and loud during big games, I feel the Recovery Room is the Capital Region’s premier sports bar. For the first round of March Madness, with four games going on at once, I wouldn’t think twice about recommending this Recovery Room location to get in on watching the basketball action and drama unfold. So grab some damn good Buffalo tenders(or any of their other ten flavors) and a cold craft brew, relax with some friends to watch the games, and a good evening will be had. 3 ½ stars. Tip: Hotel Parking in back is free if you validate your parking ticket at the restaurant.

Pretty average place. Tons of TVs with different announcers going which can be a little distracting. Waiter had good intentions but came on very strong. Fish tacos good, kettle chips good, sandwiches good, mashed potatoes pretty bad, broccoli too much garlic, wouldn’t come back by choice but it is a great location if you’re visiting someone in the hospital.

Not a bad location and is conveniently located across the street from the hospital, near Albany Law and ACP. The sport bar and grill theme is supported by the large TVs and high top tables, surrounded by booths and the bar. There is also a patio on the side of the building facing Holland Ave. I’ve come a handful of times with small groups and typically order nachos, bacon wrapped jalapeños, boneless wings, chicken tenders, burgers, and beers. The appetizers have been pleasing, I’d recommend the chicken tenders(4 for 6.99) as a shareable or an individual entrée. There are several sauces to choose from whether you are getting bone in wings, boneless wings, or tenders. The tip is to get the chicken tenders tossed in your choice of sauce instead of on the side, because the tenders by themselves seem to be more dry and less tasteful. My favorite sauces have been bourbon, thai chili, and buffalo bleu. As for the burgers, they can be hit or miss since the temperature of the beef patty vary each time we have ordered. The beers also seem to be the typical and a small sized pour of Blue Moon will set you back $ 4. A few more bucks gets you a medium, as I was told it is an additional 4 ounces. Overall a good location for a good bite or two with a group of friends. I’ve never had to call for a reservation ahead of time or wait long for a table. Service is on point, but nothing too spectacular.

Went here after a long day at the Capitol plaza. It was a quick drive, but parking was hard to find. Monday’s are wing night with $.50 wings. It’s a great deal and there are a number of options for sauces. Food and drinks were good. I would go back if I was in the area to watch another game or get cheap wings, but I would be apt to try something more local, too.

2/19/16-Ordered an $ 83.00 takeout for lunch for the whole family to eat at home after my daughter’s outpatient treatment at Albany Med. Paid with two gift cards and had to go back after I never got my 2nd gift card back with its 17.00 balance. Received food and was told«yes everything’s here». Got home to find an entire entrée and two sides were missing from our order, along with the receipt being left out too. Called and asked to speak to a manager, was told he «couldn’t be found», left my cell and was told I’d get a call back. Never did. The way I see it, they still owe me for the cost of the missing items! Don’t ASSume these toolbags will do their job or that they will make it right when they drop the ball.(Sports pun fully intended)

Typical sports bar with atypical service. 3 stars for the food, but 5 stars for the spectacular service. Long story short I had an issue with an item I ordered and the manager handled it very well.

This place is good. Nothing over the top. I like the salads and wings. They’re French onion soup is not that great but I compare it to my moms homemade. The staff is normally friendly. The bar tenders have some attitude sometimes but that’s easy to ignore. I normally never wait that long to be seated or food to be delivered to table.

We have a patient in Albany Med and have been to the Recovery Room 3 times in the past week. The first 2 times were nothing to write home about, but we decided do give it another try tonight. 3 of us ordered burgers. All 3 were burgers were cooked incorrectly. My mom ordered hers medium and it was beyond well done. I ordered mine medium and it was raw. My husband ordered the cheeseburger sliders as raw as they could make them. All 3 of the«burgers» could have fit on one bun and they looked like overcooked mini balls of meat. We told the waitress and she offered to correct the mistake. We declined as we had already waited a really long time for our food to come out. She said that she told the manager, but no one ever came to our table or even offered to adjust our bill. We won’t be back.

Yucky mcyuck. The extra star is only for the service which was friendly and nice. The food however… I got a grilled sandwich which tasted like old oil… Or some yucky oil… I could not finish it. It also wasn’t made as requested. The fries were ok… Both were way overpriced. Looks like a cool place but I will not be returning.

I got takeout from here since I was staying at the attached hotel. The menu looked appealing, but I was disappointed by the food. I ordered some boneless tenders and french fries. The tenders were rather thick, but were cooked fine. But there were 2 tenders(out of the 7) that I had to spit out. There was something stringy and slimy that I couldn’t chew through. It seemed like there was a lot of skin left on these tenders, and I just couldn’t eat them. The french fries were OK. Seasoned(good) but too crispy for my preference. The take-out process was very fast. There were lots of TVs in the bar, so it looked like it could be a good place to get a drink and watch something. But, the food experience I found to be lacking.

The Recovery Room Sports Grill has a convenient location for those near the medical center or local colleges. They offer a full bar with a full menu for lunch and dinner, although it is a bit pricey for sports bar. The location features plenty of televisions with a wide variety of sports programming. The bar also has cooling rings built into the bar top to keep your drinks cold. It is worth a visit if you are staying in the area.

Pretty good food, decent service and in a convenient location. I would suggest the nachos if you want a bang for your buck. It is huge and only like $ 3 more then the half size.

I came here because I’m stays at the Hilton! This place is on the 1st floor of the hotel! Ys huge lots of seating can easily fit a big party! I was seated at the bar, the bartender was pretty kool always attentive offers suggestions regarding foods and drinks! I got wings the spicy garlic and the chipotle adobo, it was 50cents wing night on Monday minimum of 5! Honestly they were okay not the best or the worse I’ve had but for 50cent they’re totally worth a try! During the games they have sports select speakers! Which is amazing my god Every bar should have it!!! Matter of fact I went the next morning!

I have eaten and drank many times. Tonight I notice the buffalo won tons has very little filling. The garlic parm wings tasted like a little garlic salt the med buffalo had some smokey taste. The service was ok. Here for convenience wouldn’t go out of my way to here. Trivia night is def not A draw for Me.

There are few good eats around the hospital so this review is slightly biased because I really think this is the best place to eat within a short walk from the hospital. I’ve been here several times. The service is also great, the food is stellar. Atmosphere is perfect, you can watch any sports game on one of the 50 TVs all within view from your table. I’ve never had to wait long for my meal, I’ve always had a tremendous experience. Definitely try the waffle fries!!!
