I’ve sworn to go there forever and spend the couple of extra dollars to get my watch batteries replaced after I had to go there to have them repair Walmart’s mistakes. It’s an extra bonus to be greeted by the dog who offers his paw to shake your hand.

I needed to have some watch batteries replaced, so I googled jewelers in downtown
Albany. Truman’s came up so on my lunch hour I took a walk over.
I’m not much of a fine jewelry buyer — most of what I wear is from the sale rack at target but they had a nice selection of necklaces if I need to pick up a gift.
I got 3 watch batteries replaced in 15 minutes and spent less than I would have if I’d let the unskilled girl at walmart replace them.
For me, this is a solid 3 star establishment but gets a 4th for the awesome shop dog — beautiful black lab puppy (I think his name was Yeager). Any place that has a well behaved dog I can visit with always gets an extra star.
