UPDATE: I ordered the Italian Stallion(Italian mix sub) and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. It was literally 2 meals in 1(lunch & dinner). Highly recommend trying — oh what flavor!

Love this place! Great soup, salads, sandwiches… and of course the chicken parm!!! Not a bad stop any day of the week.

Back when I worked downtown Miranda’s was a staple. So it was so nice to see that Miranda’s survived the market drop and exodus of small businesses from downtown. I got the burrito grande which was seriously grande, with lots of jalapenos, just the way I like it.

I love Miranda’s. It’s delicious comfort food with great personalities running the place. Daily specials, bores head meat, fresh bakery bread and kickass brownies!

Some of the best home cooked food around. Charlies food is made fresh everyday by himself and his wife and all done with love. Plus it is very entertaining, Charlie will bring a smile to anyone regardless of what type of day your having. As long as you don’t mind it at your expense. Lol

Had I ordered a cheap lettuce sub with balsamic I would have been really impressed. As it was, I ordered a small caprese sub so I was somewhat unimpressed. I can’t believe I paid nearly seven bucks for that. I won’t be back.

Good service and very friendly! Food is consistently good as I’ve never had a bad experience there. Very busy during lunch time and best to take the food to go. They however do have some tables to eat there as well. The only reason why my review isn’t 5 stars is because it is a cash only establishment. Other than that, love it!

Our office orders from here once or twice a week, usually pretty big orders. We love the food. Last week we called to see how much longer it would be, we were told it was on its way. Quite awhile later we called back and we were told the delivery hadn’t left yet. The owner then got on the phone and told us to «screw you». The delivery boy then showed up laughing because he was there when the owner was on the phone with our office. It’s too bad the owner was a prick because the food was decent. But you can’t take forever to deliver it. We won’t be ordering from there anymore

Try the roast beef special. My only complaint is that they don’t take credit cards. They do offer an atm for those still interested. Other than this Miranda’s is a centrally located definitive lunch stop for the discriminating lunch break connoisseur seeking a brief respite from their cubicle in the city along the Hudson. For those who do not wish to sprinkle crumbs on their keyboards, Miranda’s does offer a small indoor seating area.

Very few options left in downtown Albany, Miranda’s has nice fresh sandwich options without a ridiculous price. I ordered the caprese sandwich on multigrain and was very satisfied– boom! It fills up quickly at lunch time during the week, recommend getting there on the earlier side especially if you want a table.

This place is wonderful. I usually get the Italian Stallion, but everything I ever get has been great. Great deal for the money, the line moves quickly and the owner is awesomely nice. I once got breakfast and I didn’t realize(my first time) that they don’t take cards. When I did, I said I would get something else because I didn’t have enough cash. He just said, «oh don’t worry about it, just come back.» Which I have over and over. It’s too delicious.

Stopped in today for the first time. Had the Jerk Turkey Melt and Chicken Soup. Enjoyed both of them and had half a sub leftover. Just an FYI, they do NOT accept credit cards.

Went in today, they’re out of large sub rolls. No big deal, I’ll take 2 small for the price of a large(they’re exactly half the size but priced $ 6 as compared to $ 7 for a large). Miranda won’t do it. So… I should pay double to get what I usually pay for because you didn’t get your bread order right? Not the typical good business I expect from the lovely ladies of Miranda’s. Is it the end of the world? No, of course not. Am I nit picking? Maybe. But for someone who traveled to get their food, it’s enough to make me think twice about making the weekly trip. Still, 4 stars. Gave them another try on Thursday last week. Ordered a large Italian stallion(one of my go to favorites). The bread was stale, the mozzarella was mealy and dry and the sandwich looked like a drunk chimp slapped it together. I ended up eating only half the sandwich and felt like garbage for the rest of the day. I’m done with this place, which is sad since only a short while ago it was my favorite downtown lunch spot. I’d give them one star if it wasn’t for the years I’d enjoyed their food so much.

Mama Mia! Pretty good place for a lunch, even though it’s very busy during lunch-hour. They now offer pizza to go with their usual hand-made sandwiches; among other treats. Why did I give it 3 stars? One time I was there and someone gasped when a rat was running amongst us customers waiting in line. A rat you say? Yes, a nice big fat juicy rat, sprawling about. That incident was about 10 months ago and I’ve since come back once and no rats abound this time. But if that rat could talk he’d say: «YOYOYO, don’t worry about it, fugheddaboutit. I eat here too and it’s delicioso.» There’s also a big super-tanned fellow(who I guess is the owner), who probably talks in his sleep, and is quite the character. He has to make a comment or five about everything. One time I was paying him for my food and he said: «YOYOYO, don’t worry about it, fugheddaboutit. I eat here too and it’s delicioso.» Jokes aside, this is a decent place. I do hope they keep their kitchen clean and sanitary though.

Miranda’s makes everything fresh. Their pizza slices are very delicious. I had a cheese slice for $ 2. Slice with toppings is $ 2.50. Their Italian Stallion salad and sub are also very tasty.

Miranda’s Deli is one of my favorite lunch spots close to my office in downtown Albany. Located on Columbia street between N Pearl and Broadway it’s definitely a hidden gem in my opinion. They do only take cash, but if you forget to bring some they do have an ATM. Miranda’s has a lot of great lunch options – salads, sandwiches, wraps, subs, soups and their daily specials which include things like eggplant parm. Everything I have gotten has been great. I typically get a small salad which is by no means small. They use boars head meats too which is great and I love their chicken salad. Everything is high quality and the prices are super cheap which is even better! It would be hard to spend over $ 10 here. They have seating too(indoor and outdoor) which is awesome. The line can be long but it goes pretty quickly and the women working there are friendly. They even have delivery.

Miranda’s is a classic deli with quality meats and daily specials. The ladies making lunch are quick and always friendly. Miranda’s also has the best brownie in albany for $ 2.75 it’s huge and fudgey with chunks of chocolate.

Added some photos. This and«lunch» are by far my favorite places to grab lunch in Albany. Today I got a small(only by name) Italian Stallion Salad and a soda, it was $ 7 and was awesome.
