I placed an order online for pick-up. When I got home I discovered part of the order was missing. I had to drive back to the store to get it, and by the time everything was taken care of, the food was cold. I asked for a discount, but they refused. Well actually, they offered me a can of Shasta… Oh, and the food, in my opinion, isn’t very good anyway. It was fast(at least I thought it was going to be fast) and cheap. Turns out it was neither. Save yourself the aggravation and eat at one of the other Chinese food restaurants in the neighborhood. I think it will be a much better experience.

Placed delivery order online. Some was missing. Called them, they proceded to tell us that we had to come get our own missing order because we were too far away. They then continued to say«we are so busy and have other things to do that we just cant bring you your missing food» Let me get this straight. you mess up a 70 $ order, dont deliver it all and then tell us its our responsibility to come get the items you forgot. Here is the thing, did you ever think that we ordered delivery in the first place because we had things going on as well. So we go to pick up the missing dinner ourselves because we wont eat in front of the person missing food. We get there, have to wait for you to prepare it, get home and of course the original order is cold by now. You have an extreme lack of people skills and customer service. Grub hub tried to resolve the issue but informed us that you specifically denied us any discount on this matter. A lack of planning on your part doesn’t constitute and emergency on mine. In other words, you staffed one driver for the day and apparently got swamped. If that being the case when you screw up… FIXIT! Also it says we live 3.5 miles away. maybe you should change your radius if we are«too far»

Just OK. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken with pork fried rice on the side. The chicken was pretty good and the sauce had decent flavor, but the rice is where most take out spots fail. I know it’s just rice and it’s just a side order as a filler, but it just tasted really weird. The pork was chewy, but not in a good way. The rice also had this old taste to it. I usually don’t get the pork fried rice I stick to white rice, but there wasn’t an option for plain white rice which was odd. The egg rolls were actually pretty good; very crispy but greasy. They were out of most soda’s so I said Sprite would be fine. They show up with some weird lemon lime drink that tasted like a can of sugar. Not that big of a deal but if you don’t have actual Sprite I probably would’ve preferred a water. Delivery was pretty quick, but the food wasn’t really good enough to make me want to come back. So many Chinese spots in the area, but none are really that great. On to the next.

This is perfectly fine greasy, cheap Chinese food. Fast delivery too – 30 minutes from order to delivery on a Sunday afternoon and it was piping hot. It’s not going to win any culinary awards, but perfect when you’re craving egg foo yung and egg rolls!

I must update my review because if I don’t know what I want to eat I just default to this place. The food is good and I’ve never gotten sick… isn’t that enough?

This is our go-to Chinese take-out spot. I will say it is not quite as good as it was a few years ago. But I’ve never had a bad meal from here. Take-out orders are quick, food is hot, and the sauces are nice and spicy. Portions are very generous for the price. The General Tsao chicken and boneless ribs are two of our favorites. Edited: I really hate having to take away at least one star, but the place has seriously declined. My Kung Po Shrimp lunch special was incredibly disappointing. In the past, the shrimp were surprising large and sweet; now, they’re tiny, bland salad shrimp. The vegetables were mostly just celery and chunks of equally bland green pepper. The baby corn was the pickled variety which tasted off when served hot. Hardly any of the usual mushroom and water chestnut slices. The sauce was not at all spicy. The rice, which was always a favorite, was very dry and missing the usual bits of onion and peas. There was very little pork in the rice, too. After about ten years of frequenting China House, I probably will give them one more chance. Maybe.

Blan. The food used to be good here a few years ago but gone wayyyy down hill. Sad. They do deliver so that’s a plus but the food has no taste. And it’s greasy. I’m not sure if they lost a major cook or stopped using better ingredients.

1hour 45 mins for my food to get delivered .6 miles. Cold food and the delivery guy had the balls to demand a tip… Ha I told him to ask his boss for a tip. Btw I only rated this one star cuz I can’t rate it zero!!! If my food took 45 mins to cook and the man crab walked with my food on his chest at a rate of 1mph he should have made it here 24mins earlier than it took him wtf was he doing. Hope I save some people from this disaster of a place.

I ordered from China House for a delivery order during lunch time because I was swamped with work one day. 30 minutes for delivery around lunch time is pretty good, so I was excited to have found my new go-to place to order from. Plus it was really cheap which helped me make the decision of where to order off of GrubHub that day. I have to say that I was not impressed. The dumplings had really thick skin and not a lot of flavor. The same can be said for the roast pork egg roll. Everything is very greasy as well. I also ordered some the roasts pork with vegetables over rice. If I was hoping for a cheap, quick fix for a craving for Americanized Chinese food(and I was), I would’ve been satisfied. I mean, how much can I really expect at this point? They probably would’ve gotten 3 stars, but the thing that completely turned me off from ever ordering from them again was the person who delivered my meal. I’ll admit that I made the mistake of accidentally not tipping on my GrubHub order like I thought I did.(I don’t carry cash around anymore since I rarely have a chance to get to an ATM). But the delivery guy demanded that I tip him. I explained to him that I only had a credit card at the time and didn’t have any cash, so he told me that he’ll wait there and to go back to my office to get some cash or to use my credit card and tip him a minimum of $ 5. I have no qualms with giving a tip. I can understand that individuals in the service industry make a good chunk of their living from tips, and I would’ve been happy to try to find a way around it so that I could tip him, but instead he demanded it. I ended up having to dig around my office and my car to find a couple of bucks to tip him with before he would leave. I’m a strong believer that if you provided good service, then you deserve a great tip, but because he demanded it, it completely turned me off to the restaurant. I won’t be ordering from them again.

If you’re looking for standard, old-fashioned Americanized Chinese fare at a cheap price and a quick pace, this is a good place. The décor leaves a great deal to be desired, as in you’d never want to eat there, but for take-out, it’s fast and tasty. I have eaten from this restaurant many times over the years and I’ve not been disappointed.

Horrible. Gave them two chances. Never again, and would not recommend anyone to try this place. Ordered for delivery, and two times now, they did not provide anything to eat with. The reason we ordered out is because of convenience, thus it should be given to provide at least a fork for the customer. The hot & sour soup have a thick consistency like mucus. The mushroom they used for the soup have a strong odor.

China House is a good greasy-spoon Chinese take-out restaurant. You can tell this by the large«NOMSG» sign in the window and on the menu. It has all the standards you’d expect from such a restaurant. My personal favorite is the Pork Chow Fun: strips of roasted pork with vegetables in a bed of thick, chewy noodles. Cover that business in soy sauce, and it’s delicious. Or at least, that’s my opinion. My standards for Chinese food aren’t that high: if they can do the aforementioned dish right, and make steamed dumplings that aren’t rubbery, I’m a fan.

We have ordered from here frequently in the past, but the last order included two long hairs included in my Chicken & Broccoli. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from them again. Order at your own risk!

I have a high standard for chinese food(even at take out places). My first time here, I ordered General Tzo’s chicken. I expected I’d have to wait a few minutes, but it was ready almost immediately(I don’t consider this a positive thing). It smelled like ketchup, tasted pretty bland, and did not resemble any General Tzo’s I’ve ever had before. The pieces of chicken were also pretty small. There are enough chinese takeout places around, so I am confident I’ll never return to China House. A couple of positives: it was cheap(lunch was $ 5), and a decent sized portion.

They have great chow mein and this stir-fried veggies and beef. We bought two trays for take out to bring to a party. Both dishes were a hit! Service was pretty good for their small establishment. This is the perfect place to go for cheap Chinese food!

I’d never gone here before last night. I suspect that’s because I usually go right next door to their sister shop, the Sushi House. When I’m looking for cheap food, I’ll take Japanese over Chinese almost any day. I’m also allergic to most soy sauce(because it usually contains wheat,) so that makes Chinese food a hard gamble. But last night I was seriously craving hot and sour soup so we stopped here. It was cheap and tasty, not to mention extremely quick. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it did the trick. It’s a small place, but they’re friendly and efficient.
