Great food & great place to take kids and relax! Perfect view of the city! It’s on the old military base. They have pizza, burgers salads and to die for fries!

Didn’t order. Apparently dogs aren’t allowed because of «endangered species». Not sure what more a dog has to do with endangered species than the fact that you were allowed to build a prospering restaurant here. Won’t return.

Scolari’s is a must for all the foodies and want to be foodies in the East Bay. Located at Rock Wall winery, you order at the window, get a glass of wine and find a table. They will bring the food out to you. Don’t drink wine, no prob Bob, they also sell a plethora of soda’s. For my lunch today, I choose the crispy hot dog and shared some fries with my wife. The hot dog was spicy, crispy and snapped when you bit into it. The bun was perfect and the dog was accompanied by a concoction of mustard, relish and onion mixed and married for several hours. The fries are fresh cut and twice cooked, second to none they are the best. I have enjoyed their sandwiches on homemade focaccia as well as their famous falafel dish or falafel burger. Everything they serve is great. Service is good and prices are very good for the quality of food you receive. Scolari’s is a great place to spend a leisurely lunch or after work happy hour with friends. Plenty of free parking and numerous places to sit and relax. Good food + good wine = great time.

My girlfriend and I were doing some wine tasting at the Rock Wall Winery a few days ago, and we decided to get lunch at Scolari’s at the Point. The menu had many enticing options, but we ended up choosing the burger($ 10), the jalapeño popper cheese sandwich($ 11), and an order of fries($ 6). All of the items were relatively expensive, especially considering that the burger did not come with fries. We ate in the Dome seating area. It was chilly and cloudy on the day we happened to be there, but I’m sure that it is an awesome place to be on a sunny, clear day. The burger was definitely the tallest burger I’ve ever been served. The burger had thick slices of a tomato and a red onion as well as a wedge of iceberg lettuce. It was like someone at Scolari’s saw a fast food commercial and thought it would be cool if the burgers looked like they do in commercials. Well, I didn’t think it was cool, because the first thing that happens with the burger upon attempting to eat it is that it falls apart and makes a mess. The burger itself tasted fine, so I don’t understand the gimmick of making it so tall. The jalapeño popper cheese sandwich had some great elements to it, most notably the goat cheese. However, the tasty jalapeño and cheeses were ruined by an overly toasted bread and rock-hard overcooked bacon. The extremely tough texture made the sandwich unpleasant to eat. Also, it’s impossible for bacon to taste bad, but they came pretty damn close with their tree bark bacon. On the plus side, the side salad that accompanied the sandwich was fine albeit overly oily. The fries were the worst part though. They were not lightly salted. They were straight up assaulted. If the fries were a sea, they would be the Dead Sea based on the amount of salt. I needed to take a sip of water after each fry. Even my girlfriend who adds salt to everything thought that the salt on the fries was excessive. It is like the chef at Scolari’s created the dishes with only aesthetic concerns and had no regard for the fact that people would actually be eating the food. While I think the service was good and the views are great, based on the food I sampled, I do not recommend Scolari’s at the Point.

This was one of our first meals on Alameda, and we keep going back! The salads are big and full of wonderful ingredients. Sandwiches are also really good. The menu is full of creative options to try. I love the chopped kale salad, with chunks of goat cheese and sweet potato. Yum! This is also a great location, with it being next to Rock Wall. You can get a glass of wine to enjoy with the food and the view of San Francisco! Also, parking is really easy with a very large lot!

Pros: Fantastic food. Awesome view of San Francisco. Great for groups and families. Cons: Don’t forget to bring a jacket, it can get windy since it’s right on the water.

So great and we didn’t have to sit on the street on Park! Was super excited to get top notch food next door to a winery… bonus! Enjoy great food, good service, and fabulous wine at this wonderful place!

I never even got to order because they were so ridiculously slow. After more than 30 minutes of waiting in line I was still at least 7 people back from being able to order so I just gave up and left.

I got the cheese burger and avocado kale salad which was amazing. You can sit outside if it’s sunny or if it’s cold there is a big dome seating place so you can stay warm. There is also a wine tasting place next door so that can be nice as well. Really good seating on hot days for a bite outside.

Came here for a friend’s birthday celebration and it totally exceeded my expectations. I love the outdoor seating with the wonderful view. Beware though, when that wind/breeze come through, it can feel like you’re in a whirlwind. LOL I absolutely love Rock Walls wine. So decadent and tasteful. The food was great!!! The portions were hefty so that’s always a plus when you are with a group. I didn’t like the fact that you have to walk up to a window and line to order. I wish they would serve you. Especially because it was a birthday gathering. But it surely wasn’t a deal breaker. I ordered the cheeseburger because it was calling my name after seeing it on someone’s plate. MMMMMM good! The scampi fries was also good. My advice would be to pass on the hibiscus limeade. Wasn’t good to me at all. Overall, great time with great people at a great place. Total damage for one: $ 23.00

best burger I have had on the west coast. The view and chill scene here at the point is on point! They have so many different selections and ideas I have never thought when cooking or eating burgers. They have seating outdoor on patio furniture or bar looking over the bay and skyline.

This location is on the other side of town, nothing but warehouses and of course, the grand USS Hornet. This is not a place where your waitress/waiter comes to your table and takes your order. You have to stand in line and order your food. The menu is not that big. Once you order you find a place to sit and they will bring your food out to you. We sat in the couch/lounge chairs, it was nice but no tables in that section. Rock Wall Wine is right next door. We grabbed a nice glass of wine while we waited for our food. The food was great. I ordered the Arugula Strawberry salad. My coworkers had the Chopped salad and a burger.

Best way to live, to live in an island surrounded by water. Because it’s an island, people show their pride by heading to the edge of the island, and enjoy the beer, the wine and the eats. Everyone who’s anyone is there on weekends. Rode the bike from one end to another. Ordered the wine, and then head over to the eats to have some food. That’s how I met the mayor of Alameda. Not kidding you. Just like that. She was introduced by friends of friends. I was shocked that she would be among the commoners. Then she asked me to friend her on Facebook. How could I say no to that? Scolari’s is a not hidden gem. It’s a well known gem. Started up with a little take out counter on Park, then it was said to partnered up with Lucky 13, the original of Lucky 13 is in the city, but this one gets a lot of visitors. Scolari started to deliver food to Lucky 13 next door. Then they opened it up next to the winery on the Point. Now called the Spirits Alley, with Faction Brewery next door. Locals love the drinks and the food. Scolari’s second location at the point serves up way better food, in my opinion. The menu has expanded: their daily specials were amazing. Hush puppies were the best I had ever had, the grilled octopus salad rivals Santorini’s octopus, and I don’t use that comparison lightly. Their fries were outstanding, their burgers and pizza were out of this world. All could be consumed with outdoor patio dining and you look right into the bay with many other locals who were hip to the scene. I have been here a few times, mostly to meet others I know. The town’s who’s who’s gather here on weekends, to talk bidness and to hang out. You don’t become a true Alamedian until you’ve lived here for at least 15 years and your kids had gone to high school. It’s one of those places that the moment you move here, you refuse to move elsewhere. People liked the island. They like their food. And their mayor and I are now on Facebook as friends.

Came here for a get together at Rock Wall on a Friday night and found Scolari’s operating here that evening. You get in line and order off the menu on the wall. When your order is ready, they’ll call your name and you get your food. I hear the line later in the evening can be long, so be patient. You can dine at the tables outside of Rock Wall or in the geodesic dome. I find either one more civilized than eating at Scolari’s on Park Street or in the Lucky 13. My hush puppies and falafel burger were good. Weather was great. Not sure how fun this would be if the wind had kicked up like it usually does at the Point. Open until 8p during the week, only until 5:30p on weekends. I’ll be back.

Came for a lunch bite while in Alameda for the day. Had the bbq beef sandwich; tasty but a tad on the sweet side and bottom of bun fell apart. $ 11 with nothing else, so came to $ 15.88 with a Coke. Pretty pricey for what you get even by Bay Area standards for ordering at a window. Nice view of the City however.

Nice food where there are few options. Stopped by here before doing some tasting in Spirit Alley. Enjoyed the salami, zucchini, ghost pepper, and basil pizza. A little pricey but this had a nice flavor. Enough food to split with my wife. The dome was closed when we were here for a private reception, but not sure we missed much. The patio does not have much of a view(tarmac anyone?) but happy we could sit in front of Rockwall Winery to block the wind for us on a windy and cool day.

I’m giving this place 4 stars because I think it has amazing potential. I know, maybe that’s a little too abstract. The view from the patio is supremely amazing. The food was really great. I got a rosemary potato and pork belly pizza($ 16), it was wonderful. We had a glass of wine from the place next door, half price on a glass of wine before 6pm. So, with the view, the pizza and a glass of wine, it was pretty great. Now for the not so great part. My friends met us here at around 6:30pm, the spent a solid 40 minutes in line, just waiting to place an order for food and then another 40 minutes waiting for there order to be delivered. The ambience in the dome is a stark difference between the stylish and cohesive ambience of the patio. The dome has what seems to be outdoor carpet, plan plastic fold up tables and flimsy chairs. I’d recommend this place because of the view and the food. Come early and enjoy the patio, it would be completely worth it!

I’m giving Scolari’s three stars but man that was a hard decision. The view and outdoor seating? 5 stars. The food? A solid 4 and a half. The stinky indoor outdoor carpeting in the weird dome thing? 2 stars. No beer? 0 stars. Completely incomprehensible wait in line due to overly complex menu? 0 stars? Another incomprehensible wait to get the food? 2 stars. Odd early closing time? Ugh. I think 3 stars is fair. When I first pulled up, I was so excited but Scolari’s wore me down. Give it a try but have your mellowest NorCal attitude fully engaged or you’ll have a side of aneurysm with your pizza or burger.

I took a ferry ride over to Alameda to check out Rock Wall Winery and Faction Brewery with some friends. We were all starving and looking for something to eat before a day of sampling the local beverages. Scolari’s shares a place with Rock Wall so it was the perfect spot to grab some food. We tried a pork belly sandwich, buffalo fries, and regular hand cut fries. They accidentally brought us calamari(and due to a small miscommunication) and we started eating before we realized the mistake so we ended up getting it for free. Here’s how it works: You order the food at a window and they give you a number. Then you take your number and go sit outside at outside tables with an awesome view of SF as viewed from the Easy Bay.(They have some indoor seating if the weather is not great). The service was fast and very friendly. The staff very quickly brought out the hot food and went back to get more forks and napkins. Awesome service. Even with the miscommunication. The food was all really delicious. The fries were amazing. Both the buffalo and the regular. So good. The pork belly sandwich was also awesome. Melt in your mouth pork belly, mustard, pickled vegetables, delicious bun. And even the calamari(I don’t often order calamari) and kale salad was awesome. Crispy tender calamari and delicious kale. Scolari’s was a pleasant surprise that made this day even better. This is definitely a place to stop before(or after) a day of sampling. Easily 5⁄5 spot for me.

Best burger ever! The parmesan fries are soooo good too. The burger meat is grass fed from Monterey. You know what’s better than the food? The service! Campbell was awesome. For first timers he made us feel very welcomed. He even recommended the burger I got. The view was so beautiful. I will definitely be back soon. This is a great place for kids, they have a playing area with balls and such. This is a very unique place, you can choose whether you want to sit on the bar with a view, cozy in the dome, bar seating, picnic bench, and even on comfy outdoor couches with a beautiful view of SF and the bridge. They also have wine next door! Great place for a date night on a warm evening. Grad a wine, food, and enjoy yourself. If its cold I suggest warm clothing.
