It is rare that I review a non-​food establishment, but Gem Classics deserves some acclaim. No job is too small for them, and their customer service is stellar whether you walk in to make a large purchase, or to make a return. As custom jewelers, they can make any adjustment or accommodate any request, from a simple repair to creating something from scratch from nothing more than a vision you have in mind. Whether you are seeking something sparkly that is economical or extravagant, Gabe will make your buying experience pleasant and you will be hooked!

We took our wedding rings here to be resized. Our rings are nothing fancy as far as jewelry goes, but they’re special to us and the wonderful team at Gem Classics took the time to do the job right. They know what they’re doing. Our rings are really wide and it affects the sizing — they knew exactly how to account for the width when determining the new size. We also have special features and engravings on our rings and they made sure that the resizing was done without affecting any of the rings’ other features. The resized rings fit perfectly and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Everyone was so friendly. Prices were great. The job was done within the time that was promised. We would use this family-​owned business again in a heartbeat and we encourage you to visit them for all of your jewelry needs.

Gabriel has done some beautiful custom rings for me. Every time I go in, I find a new treasure, which they happily re-​size for me. Repairs are done quickly.
They have a nice selection of everything from silver to diamonds. Great selection of Citizen watches.

I have had numerous rings sized by Mr Romo and his employees/​family. I was so happy with the work he did on my mothers family ring and did it at a very reasonable price. Great service and work from good honest people. Highly recommended professionals.

Used them for watch maintenance. Did a good job on battery replacement. I thought I would try them for a clean and oil on an old watch. They were 3 times as expensive as another place I called, so I deducted a star.

Pros:
Fabulous customer service: WOW those young men made me feel like Queen of Sheba! And the only service I requested from this jeweler was to replace my watch batteries (so I wasn’t exactly their big-​spending customer).
If they treat me this well, I can only assume you’ll get the true red-​carpet treatment too!

You can not find better people than Gabriel, Rebecca, and their son! They have been in the business since 1977 and they understand that customers come first. They will stand and listen to you for hours as you tell them your story, and why you came to them. I went in to Gem Classics on several different occasions and even though I didn’t buy (I was looking at an engagement ring that fiancé was to buy me) they still were extremely nice and accommodating. Even when they were helping others they will acknowledge you when you come in.

I came here to resize my engagement ring. Even though I didn’t buy it from them, they did excellent work, had it finished within a week, and they do it all in-​house. I loved how Mr. Romo took the time to educate me about the resizing process, the type of diamond I have, and he let me look at it up close with the magnifying lens. He was very willing to work with me even though I was indecisive about further resizing. Great thing about their family owned business is their flexibility and attention to the individual customers. I would definitely go back to them again for jewelry alterations and sizing!

Gem Classics is the place to go to in the DFW area for custom jewelry or repair work of any kind. We have been customers of Gabe and Becky Romo (no relation to Tony) for over 15 years. They are incredible nice and more importantly trustworthy! Whether your getting a simple battery replacement for your watch or that special piece for your better half they are always friendly, helpful and patient as you make your jewelry decision. They are just great to work with!

We stumbled upon Gem Classics 15 years ago when searching for a jewelry repair store. What we found was a family owned customer oriented business. Having been extremely impressed with Gabriel’s (the store owner) attention to detail, professionalism and high quality jewelry we have been long-​term customers. Multiple purchases throughout the years have yielded the same surpassed service whether we are spending $ 100 or $ 6000. See for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

We have been patronizing this business for over a decade and have always enjoyed the hospitality of Gabriel Romo and his family. They are our «go-​to» jeweler for any custom work, repairs, resizing, or similar work. They also feature many high-​quality items like Citizen watches. Most area jewelers aren’t interested in doing custom work or working with sterling silver, but not these folks. Since Mrs. Bear and I have many items made of this metal, we need someone who isn’t afraid to work with it.
If you’re looking to get jewelry for cheap, then this isn’t your kind of place. The prices here reflect the quality of the merchandise, and you get what you pay for. They do frequently have sales and specials, which at least make you feel like you’re getting a good deal.
In summary: custom jewelry expertly done, repairs and alterations performed perfectly, and always friendly, personal attention from the staff. Highly recommended.

Gem Classics is family owned and family run. Gabriel, his wife, and his son all work together to bring you beautiful jewelry. Most items are made by Gabriel himself. My husband took his late grandmother’s diamonds here to have them reset into my engagement ring, and we both got our wedding bands from Gem Classics. Bless them for being so patient with me — I had them order about 5 sample bands and they were always happy to accomodate me. This is a lovely local store and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something more one of a kind than Robbins Brothers and Zales.
