Love it here. Generous portions and less expensive than Portillo’s, plus close to home. I go specifically for the Gyros which are very good. I’m a fan. Make sure you have cash on you.

Come here if you want to feel robbed. Skinniest hot dog I ever saw. I went up and requested an exchange as there was no meat in my bun. They argued with me for a while then offered to give me an Italian sausage. They gave me a sample of what’s on the pizza but it was extremely greasy. I finally told them I just wanted my money back and they refused. I left the food sitting there. Definitely don’t go here. Go to Dr. Dogs in Roselle. The food is better… the fries are fresh and don’t taste frozen.

I try to make it on Mondays for the Italian beef special. It’s some of the best I’ve had, although it seems to get a little skimpy on Mondays. They have specials every day. The 2 hot dogs, fries(excellent), and a drink special($ 6.00 as of this writing) is good, too and includes tax! …I really like places that do that because I don’t like getting coins back or looking for them to give to the gov’nor. I’ve seen employees cleaning all surfaces of seats and floors and I’d say it’s cleaner than most fast food places. The owner is very friendly, as well as most of the employees so give them your business!

Can’t beat their Pizza deal. The same pizza if ordered at Giordano’s or similar would be $ 35. Crust isn’t the best, but fresh ingredients and unlimited. My Daughter likes their Hot Dogs, but I’ve never tried them.

Stopped here for lunch the other day. I did not find the place very clean — and coming from a guy I guess that says something. Food was alright, but nothing special. Service, considering there was no body else in the place, was rather slow.

I’ve been here at least 30 times and always came back because the older women at the register was very kind and if I had a problem with my order she would redo it with no attitude, I always order a gyro with easy meat extra sauce no tomato with onions and one day I came in and this young women who has been there for a while must have been training another young girl took my order and I repeated my order three times well it must have pissed her off cuz she rolled her eyes at me but I tried telling her every time I order my gyro I want it a special way she snaps at me and says she’s got it ! I get my gyro go home open the bag and no surprise it’s not what I wanted so I call back and she answers and yes I’m pissed so I say this is not what I fucking ordered and you told me you got it and you even rolled you’re eyes at me hmmmm won’t be going there any more some people are just so rude

I went to Frankie’s yesterday and ordered the pepperoni pizza… I am a huge fan of pizza and thought this particular pie was tasty but too doughy. I prefer a New York style of pizza and one that I can fold over. The cheese tastes pretty good though. The service at Frankie’s is really fast. You start at the left side of the restaurant and by the time you are done paying they have the food ready… this is a good thing. The interior of the business is kind of like a normal fast food joint. Wish the seats were more comfy… My overall experience was just mediocre. I am going to come back and try the Italian Beef next time. I hear that is pretty good.

07÷03÷15−−6PM – 16″ sausage, green pepper, black olive WITHARTIFICIALCHEESE. What a disappointment! In the past, we’ve stopped for pizza every few months and have had more hits than misses, but have also had a couple carry out burned up duds that we took to get togethers where distance prohibited taking them back. This time, the cheese like topping had a slightly off/lighter color and lacked a true dairy flavor, which had a gum like texture that didn’t dissolve in the mouth when chewed. Litterly went out the door with artificial cheese packed around our teeth. EEEEUISRIGHT!

The best place for their deals. The hot dog meal deal and rib meal deal Saturdays are the best. However, save your money on the Philly cheesesteak and subs because Jersey Mike’s makes it better. Pizza is a great deal and any topping is free to add. Right near movie theater, so it’s a great alternative to overpriced food so you can save it for drinks at their bar there. The best gyro in town. It’s sad to see so many dry, thin and tasteless gyro places.

I’m all for supporting local businesses, but I have a major beef with Franky’s Red Hot’s. It’s the hot dogs, they are terrible. I have read good reviews for other items on the menu, but when you have«Red Hot’s» in your name, it doesn’t matter how good the rest of menu is, your hot dogs better be fantastic! For this reason, I give Franky’s a 1 star. Franky’s doesn’t appear to be using natural casing hot dogs or are over cooking their dog’s. They are mushy, a good dog should have a nice snap to it from the natural casing. If they are just using regular dog’s like you can pickup at walmart, there’s not much point in going out for a dog. I’m not sure whats wrong with the bun’s, but they are not up to par either. No joke, I make better dog’s at home. The obvious reason an establishment would chose to go skinless is cost, it’s cheaper to get skinless dogs. If I’m going out for a dog, I don’t want whatever was the cheapest meat that was available. That’s not to say you can’t get good quality skinless dogs(Portillo’s for example, has a Jumbo Dog that is skinless and it’s pretty good). Speaking of Portillo’s, there’s one a mile down the street, which mean’s there’s no reason to get a dog at Franky’s given the vastly superior quality at Portillo’s. Nana’s had fantastic dog’s, but moved a bit further down the street to Elmhurst(just past RT83). I hate to give a local business a 1 star, but Franky’s has got to fix their dogs, it’s a disgrace. Fix your dog’s and I’ll be ecstatic to fix your score.

We went there a couple of nights ago about a half an hour before they closed. We were really hungry after a long drive. When we got there, there were only two tables in there. So we ordered our food. When we got our order they had put it in a to-go bag. I was really really hungry. And I wanted to eat there. So I told the guy that was mopping, «I would like to eat here, I’m so hungry.» But the guy was like, «Well, we close in ten minutes.» I looked at the clock, it was 9:40! He just wanted to get out by 10 pm, I’m assuming. I’m like, «I don’t care, I’m starving.» He looked like he was annoyed. But I really didn’t care. I bought the food there, so, we should be allowed to eat it there. Plus, there were two tables still eating there! Also, how long does it take someone to eat a sandwich? Maybe ten minutes. By that point, my sis was upset and said she didn’t wanna stay there and eat. I understood her, and would have felt bad if I kept eating my food there. So we just left. First of all, food was ok. It was not bad. But, I don’t think we will be returning because of the service they gave us. Secondly, they really need to keep up with the cleanliness of that place. Bathroom was dingy and disgusting. I’m giving this place two stars only because of the food… Average. There is a place just down the street that I will drive a lil further down, just to avoid going back to «Franky’s». They should really work on their service.

I think this place is great. My parents and my friends and i always order pizza from here. It’s a good deal for the price and they don’t gouge you for extra toppings. The beef is amazing. With that said, I don’t understand the negative reviews. This is a greasy fast food place. If you want«quality«food, go to a restaurant! This is a fast food/greasy spoon and if you’re eating here, then you should know what to expect; much like if you’re eating at Pizza Hut or McDonald’s you know what you’re ordering, and you know what kind of food to expect. If you’re in the mood for pizza or a 12» beef and don’t want to spend a lot of $ than this place is for you. If you’re the type of person that’s scared of eating at places like Taco Bell, then you should probably check out the pizza restaurant across the street.

This place is a no no! The pizza I had here was just old and the cheese was really dried up. This was my second time here and I just did not like it at all. The last time I came here i had a hot dog and it tasted like an Oscar Mayer hot dog… I really don’t recommend this place at all.

Franky, As long-time fans, you let us down. We called at 5:05 last Saturday and ordered a pizza, were told«It’ll be ready in 30 minutes». My wife arrives at designated time and cooled her heels until 6:05, a half hour later. Irritating but OK, we’re looking forward to a good pizza. We open the pizza box at home and the top is burned. See photo. Franky, this is unacceptable. Where was the QC before this pizza was boxed up?

Love this place. I usually get their cheeseburgers because I love a good griddled burger. Not to mention it comes with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion on a great bun. A co-worker raved about their chicken gyros, so I tried one last time and loved that too. They also give you a whole heap of fries in an order, enough for 2 people to share. The staff is always super friendly and they seem to have a lot of regulars. It’s also very clean too. They take credit cards now so that’s a non issue anymore.

Amazing gyros– i have been eating here since I have been about 6yrs old and we would always stop by for the gyros. Since then, the place has changed(for the better) and i moved but i still stop by when i am in the neighborhood.

Every once in a while I get a taste for a hot dog or a gyro. Franky’s is the place I like to go to. Prices are reasonable. Food is great and prepared quick. If I’m in need of a solid meal, I can count on one from Franky’s. Usually I grab a hot dog or gyro, but I hear the ribs and pizza are great too. If you are passing through Addison on Lake st. Stop in! Its also a good place to grab some food before the movies over at Marcus Addison

So you get your hot dog, and fries, and drink. Let’s say $ 8 total. You forgot to bring cash. You pull out your trusty debit or credit card, and lean to the swiper. The cashier stops you and says«It has to go through for $ 10, and then I’ll give you change in cash.» What? I don’t know what backwards-facing electronic funds solution that they’re using, but they severely need an upgrade. However, you’re hungry, you don’t want to drive to McDonalds, so you say«sure, whatever. I want my hot dog.» You swipe, and the machine notifies you that it will be yet ANOTHER $ 1 for a transaction fee. Seriously? But you’re hungry, so whatever. The food doesn’t look bad, and … seriously, you’re hungry. You bite into your food that is, along with much of the décor, reminiscent of Portillo’s, and are disappointed. Even in your hunger, you recognize second-rate hot dogs. And those sound good right about now. If I’ve been unclear. Don’t go. IHOP is 24Hrs and down the street. Ask for Dio. He’s awesome. Franky … not so much.
