Great stuff! Shared the three plate choice of meat. Chicken, brisket and pork. they were all good. several choices of sauce st the table makes it easy to taste each variety. the baked beans were an excellent side! Thick and a little sweet.yummy. The dinner comes with cheese/corn mini muffins. the bomb!

Don’t believe the bogus reviews touting 5 stars. Clearly posted by paid reviewers. The food is merely ok and way overpriced. I was hoping for great food but this place fell flat. Save yourself the time and money and try another local place.

Really disappointed with nicks BBQ the food sucked. They tried to lie to me and tell me pulled pork was brisket. Never going back.

Food was just ok. Prices are really high! The man cleaning tables was really friendly however the lady who served us and charged us was pretty rude. First and last time I come here!

This is my new favorite BBQ place in Kennesaw/Acworth area. The pulled pork is pulled. We ordered a pound of pulled pork with a side of cheese biscuits. The pork was truly pulled. There was no mush to it. The flavor was tremendous with a good smoke to it. There were pieces of outside cut in it, which we love. The cheese biscuits(what they call them) were more like muffins, but they did not disappoint. Loved them.

My husband and I stopped by Nick’s for lunch last Saturday. He had been there before but this was my first visit. At first glance it was like many other BBQ joints around here; the set up is about the same, menu is about the same, atmosphere is about the same. They started setting themselves apart, however, almost immediately. We ordered our food, 1 lb. of spare ribs, coleslaw and fresh fruit for me, BBQ chicken, mac & cheese, and collards for my husband. They started building our trays right in front of us and I realized that the portions would have been enough for two people! Wow! And, everything looked fresh, colorful, and appealing. The price was right, and better than some of the other BBQ places we’ve been to. They have four different sauces on every table, all delicious. My spare ribs were wonderful! Tender, tasty, slightly greasy, but that’s to be expected. My coleslaw was perfect! Not too sweet, not too heavy or creamy, perfectly seasoned, fresh, crisp! My fresh fruit was watermelon, which turned out to be the perfect compliment and end to my meal. My husband’s chicken was just as good as my ribs, also tender and perfectly seasoned. The Mac & cheese was very good, but still not quite as good as my gold standard, Dave Poe’s. Collards are not my favorite so I will have to rely on my husband’s opinion, «They were good!» Service was great, friendly, and helpful. The place was spotless and they did have an really friendly employee cleaning tables and checking on us. He brought us extra napkins without us having to ask. Over all, great experience and I will be back!

The best barbecue around, fast and friendly service. Nice ambiance in the building. I try to think of a recommendation but it’s all so good you have to try it all.

Great brisket, original pulled pork sandwich, mac-n-cheese, stew, and biscuits! Couple suggestions — why have sweet potato pies all the time? No sweet sauce? Why BBQ mustard in the potato salad? Otherwise, look forward to the next visit!

Service was terrible, burger was pathetically small, food tasted bad. The waitress got my order wrong and told me that they couldn’t do anything about it. They even forgot my Mac-n-cheese. I would not recommend stopping here EVER!

Terrible pulled chicken sandwich all dark meat I love white meat, very small portion for 8.50, creamy Cole slaw dry as a bone, loud blasting music, lastly no coors light! Will not be back but had to give it a try.

Great food, amazing biscuits and mac and cheese. The wings are excellent also. An odd set up on ordering. You stand in a line and order almost buffet style and then sit and have it brought to you. A bar also that you pass as you stand in line so you can drink while you wait? Very unique.

If you want great tasting BBQ and the added convenience of a drive-through, this is the place for you. I’ve eaten here several times now. You can’t beat the price, taste and quality that Nick’s delivers on. Keep up the great work Nick’s staff!

I couldn’t be happier that we have this new option in the Acworth/Kennesaw. The food quality has been outstanding, the service had been outstanding, and the option for drive thru is so convenient. It will definitely keep us from having to dine at the other(more boring) «fast food» options. The burger is very good, fries are delicious, cheese bread on point, and the best chicken fingers in the area. Perhaps the best I’ve ever had. We haven’t even gotten to their Cue. Folks, check this place out! You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Nick’s!!!

I read a few of my fellow Unilocaler reviews(specifically Bobbert S. 5-Star Review on 10/10/2015) and knew it was time to try Nick’s BBQ, the quick-paced off-shoot of Jim & Nicks BBQ in Hiram. NOTE: After the fact, I read Alexander F, Ken B, and Darren W on Google and wish I would have looked at Google reviews 1st! My concern was the rage about great brisket in Georgia and I was blinded my the possibility! I’ve yet to find great brisket in GA(for me, it’s true) and I have been searching. Nothing to date can compare to succulent brisket, Austin Texas style!, but… I am in GA right now so… As you walk in, grab a menu, browse it, then walk up to the counter and order; cafeteria style and that’s not a knock, it’s like many BBQ joints around the US. They have a mini-bar, like a small hotel, but it is full service and even carry a few SweetWater products. This place is looking better by the second! If you’re looking for draft beer in variety, this isn’t the place. I think there were 5 or 6 taps. Again, it’s about the BBQ or so I hoped. My lunch date ordered the chopped pork sandwich with fries. I opted for the sliced brisket platter after Bobbert S 5-Star Review, mac-n-cheese, daily fruit, and biscuits. We’d share I meals so I would definitely try a few fries. I noticed SweetWater 420 on tap, and I can’t pass one up when it’s on draft… ahhh… 1st issue. My 420 was served in a warm pint glass. Really? Don’t ever do that again. I know the bar is small but chill a few pints. 30 degree beer doesn’t do well when it hits a room temp, or out of the dishwasher glass. The dinning room is a traditional BBQ hall, small, yet tasteful. It’s what I expected for a mini-Jim & Nicks, and as BBQ joints go, it was appealing. As for my brisket… I was ready! Ok brisket, you must be «tender meat», nicely seasoned, right? I mean, that is what I paid for. Now, what was placed on my plate was anything but tender, and NOT«juicy and seasoned» like what was served to Bobbert S. I received the day, or two-day old overcooked slices of dried out beef that wasn’t even seasoned worth mentioning. It was beff jerky, $ 15 beef jerky! I would have been embarrassed to serve that to friends, and in-fact, would have tossed it to my dogs. The mac-n-cheese was cafeteria slop. It was apparently old as I built small castle with it, and it was solid, and I believe could of with-stood a level 5 hurricane. That’s how it felt in my stomach. The fruit was OK. The biscuits were not amazing, they were good, fresh, warm and a nice flavor… but could have used a pat of butter as they were a little dry. My dates chopped pork sandwich… dry, dry, dry. She just gave up. Fries. They were Ok, nothing notable. Nick’s is charging full prices for their product so for me, they need to serve quality, juicy BBQ like Bobbert S experienced and we «DIDNOT» receive that. You guys know this, it’s about consistency. If you brisket is dried out, you DONOT serve it to the public. I would take an apology any day of the week vice being served Beef Jerky with lipstick on it! My opinion, if you keep this up, you’ll be closed in a year, unless they improve who’s cooking in that kitchen. I DONOT recommend Nicks so called BBQ in Acworth. I won’t be back and can’t recommend Nick’s BBQ in Acworth to anyone. If you want some descent BBQ, try Zeigler’s on the corner of Cobb & Mars Hill.

This place is great! The pulled pork bbq is so tender. I ordered the brisket chilli and was so glad I did! It had such a great flavor and a good portion size. The décor was very nice and it felt inviting. The staff was extremely nice and always made sure you were taken care of. They even came by the table and made small talk, which I loved. I will be going back to this restaurant very soon! Looking forward to trying their other sides!

We came across this place a week ago and gave it a try tonight… It was AMAZING! We took it to-go but the interior is very nicely decorated, and they have a full bar that you can sit at. We ordered the pork and brisket with Mac and cheese, collard greens, baked beans, potato salad, and the brisket chili. Everything was fantastic. We can’t wait to come back!

honestly, I was not expecting the best barbecue ever, however I was hoping for a decent meal. We went in for supper around 7 p.m. the brisket, the chicken, and the ribs that we selected were all dry. Not somewhat dry, but thoroughly dry. There was one saving grace, and that was the freshly fried pickles. A little disappointing that the $ 2.50 side dish was the most enjoyable item. As a first time customer, you really have that first impression to make a lasting impression, and my lasting impression does not include being a continuing patron at this establishment.

We ate here for lunch today. We were very impressed. Nick’s is a quick service version of the Jim & Nick’s restaurant. The meats are cut to order right in front of you. This ensures you receive hot and juicy barbecue. I had the brisket. It was juicy and seasoned very well. My wife had the turkey. If had a smoky taste and was not dry at all. We had the fried pickles and the brisket chili. The pickles were fried well but they were sweet pickles. I personally don’t like sweet pickles. The chili was very good with big chunks of brisket. It is served with peppers, onions and cheese. We also had the fries. They were good too. The cheese bread was amazing. They have 5 different sauces on the table. Over all very good barbecue and extremely friendly staff. We will be back!
