This little bakery is right next to Sagrada Familía so my family and I stopped beforehand to get some breakfast. There was only one girl and her one guy who were taking care of all patrons. I think they were a father/daughter duo and lived upstairs. Anyway, we weren’t helped the first 10 or so minutes we were there so I asked the girl if she could take our order since we had to be at the Sagrada at a certain time. She took our order and her dad quickly made it all in about 7 – 10 minutes. We were so happy with the quick service and the food was also awesome! We got the pancakes, coffee, and toast with cheese, eggplant, and red bell peppers. So yum! When we left, I said thank you very much and she smiled and winked like«I got you girl!» Really appreciated her and hopefully they hired someone else to help her because that’s too much for only two people to do! Enjoy! :)

We found this place while walking around La Sagrada Familia. I was feeling churros so I decided to sit down for a bit and try it out. We ordered the chocolate and churros as it seems to be very common in Spain. The churros themselves were smaller than Mexican churros found in California but they were made fresh and weren’t overly sweet. The hot chocolate was rich as well, not overly sweet, and came in a cute cup. I don’t know why this combo isn’t more popular in America. The bathrooms were tiny, however, as this seems to be the norm in Spain. It was honestly a closet and if I was larger and rounder there would be some problems. They keep the bathrooms pretty clean, but there are no paper towels. The hand dryer is atrocious as it has the strength of a small child blowing on your hands. Overall, the atmosphere was great and cosy(it is air-conditioned) and the food seemed good although I didn’t order enough to make a good judgement.

Four of us came in after visiting the church for a light lunch. We ordered the Caprese sandwich and Chicken sandwich along with nachos and a crêpe. The bread was absolutely delicious! You can tell these guys know what they’re doing with it comes to baking. The crêpe was equally as delicious. The nachos were a bit of a joke. I wouldn’t normally give a bad review but there were 4 slices of unmelted cheese on top of sub par nacho chips. Granted, we ordered the Nachos without guacamole, sour crème and jalapeño… However I don’t think it would have changed the unmelted cheese situation. We asked to have them reheated and they came back only partially heated. There were also bits of cardboard in the nachos. The Caprese sandwich was unreal. It was super tasty. The chicken sandwiches were mostly cheese sandwiches(comprised of the same unmelted cheddar cheese from the nachos). There was hardly any chicken on them at all, maybe the size of a chicken wing. The orange juice was super good and really tangy. But mine had a bug in it. Which sealed the deal on the quality of the food here. Next time we’ll stick to baked goods! I feel the café does this bit right :)

What an absolutely wonderful place. We were very happy we found this place near the Sagrada Familia. This place is mainly for desserts. My girlfriend and I ordered a strawberry cake and a crêpe and it was great. Nothing to spectacular. The cake and crêpe wasn’t too sweet, and coming from New York where everything is either super sweet or bland, it was perfect. The setting is pretty plain but still very warm, welcoming and cozy, even for a town like Barcelona where everything is cozy and welcoming. The staff is really what makes this place 5 stars though. Very attentive, friendly and personal. The staff probably owns or has some family connection to the ownership of the bakery. Definitely worth visiting.

This neat this bakery near La Sagrada Familia blew me away with the quality of their desserts. The thick layers of frosting coating their array of tasty cakes is what caught my eye immediately as we strolled past the store front, and, while we were in a rush to get tickets to Sagrada, we knew there was no way we weren’t coming back after our tour. We had built up an appetite and decided to order regular food and not just fill up on sweets. We got a caprese sandwich, tuna and chicken toast, a croissant, and slices of the Oreo and chocolate cakes. The food came out slowly, which surprised me because it doesn’t require too much prep(toast + tuna + olives takes over ten minutes?), but it was all quite tasty. The cakes were the real stars of the meal. Thick, moist, and packed with ooey gooey sugary sweetness, I became depressed I was leaving barcelona shortly and couldn’t go back for more. The slices were extremely generous given how relatively cheap they were. This place also gets a bonus for having free wifi.
