Atletica is a sports bar, and as such, not a place I’d usually frequent. However, this one is so sports-y that you’d really notice it at first glance. Some of their servings are named for famous footballers, there’s some football memorabilia here and there, but it isn’t too intrusive.
I have only tried their breakfast, and I’m definitely a fan. There’s a tapas feel to it, with each dish being fairly small (but very reasonably priced), so you can pick and choose from them and create your own combo. I’m a big fan of their Spanish omelet! And the concept of putting together your own combo of as many or as few dishes as you want is a welcome departure from the current trend of serving a huge, one-size-fits-all-except-only-few-can-eat-it-all strategy that many cafés subscribe to.
I’ll definitely be coming back for seconds!

Atletica is situated in a basement at Sankt Peder Stræde. If you know your way around in Copenhagen, you may know it’s a part of the city with old and beautiful houses. It was a joy to sit in the warm candlelight illumimated rooms eatin, drinking, and hsving fun with your friends.
The boys working here pay much attention, and you feel at home very fast.
