I did enjoy the first couple beers that I was served — this place seems to mainly concentrate on dark and some exceptionally sweet brews. However, They definitely are a dedicated follower of the belgian tradition in ales. Danes love Belgian beer — which is fine for my tastes for most of the time. However, it is tough to enjoy a longer session trying out stuff if it is hitting the 7 to 9 percentile for alceehol. You should maybe think about getting the smaller ¼ litre(roughly half pint) serving size. You could check out a couple more variety of lovely brewed beverages and not end up limping to your hotel. Ordering a ½ pint of of Baltazar, they were troubled by the correct glass not being available. There was a visible sense of relief when the long stemmed goblet was located and the dark 7.2 percent pintage was poured. I was impressed that the correct glass was important to them and they do have some lovely stemmed glasses to sample their lovely brewed liquids from. Popular with the local work crowd you will have trouble finding a seat after 4pm especially on a Friday.

Adding this to my list of CPH beer spots which has been neglected lately. Tap selection is heavy on the Carlsberg and Tuborg, but still includes plenty of other options. Not so focused on microbrew as some other dedicated beer bars in Copenhagen, but they have a selection of Mikkeller and Nørrebro Bryghus beers. They have a rotating tap selection and being December, it is filled with Christmas beer. They also have an extensive bottle selection which you’ll just have to see for yourselves, because I can’t recall them all and some I’ve never heard of. Big space, lots of seating, efficient service, and a laid-back local feel without degenerating into a dive bar. There were a few strange characters on a Friday night, but I think this was mostly due to julefrokost season leaving some very drunk folks very early in the evening. I can’t wait to go back in the summer and enjoy the waterside views.
