Don’t go here for the burgers. The hamburger bread was not homemade nor did the unfriendly staff pay attention to the requested temperature, serving us two overcooked burgers.

This restaurant looks interesting from the outside, it’s glass façade allows you to see that it’s crowded at night. And that is true, the restaurant is usually full by 8pm. After dining here, I realized that it is more the location than the food. Located right outside Tivoli Gardens and the Central Station, this restaurant is the perfect location for tourists and suburbanites a like. Their menu is translated into English which also illustrates its clientele. The ordering process was impersonal. You had to fill out a sheet of paper with your order. The sirloin steak I ordered was fine, nothing special. I was happy with my side of fries but I was unimpressed with the quality of service, which can be typical of Danish restaurants. I would have liked to order an additional side but the waitress never came back around until the meal was over.

We found this place walking out of Copenhagen Central Station. My sister and I were hungry after traveling from Sweden and we noticed they had a burger lunch special for 119DKK. We looked at the establishment to get an impression of what they might bring to the table. It looked like an upscale steak restaurant with an all glass exterior and interior. We decided that since its a steak house and the mascot/logo on the front of the restaurant was a cow, they must make decent burgers. Good choice. The burgers were juicy and the fries and baked potato I ordered, you can choose between the two as a side, were also prepared well. The service was great. Our waitress quickly took our order and within 10 minutes our food was ready. This place is a good choice if you are near Tivoli or Copenhagen Central Station and want to escape the hectic tourist street and retreat into a nice setting for a reasonably priced lunch.

Very nice place near Tivoli(Copenhagen Central station). The staff is kind and helpful. By day(until 3pm I guess) they serve some nice and flavored burgers… I tried the tuna one and it was great! My college went for the veal sirloin with boiled potato with«acid cream». In the complex the place was great and the price affordable if you are in holidays.

Want a great steak in Copenhagen? This resto is a delicious break from the restaurants around the Tivoli Gardens. This resto was close to my first hotel, WakeUp Copenhagen and around the block from Copenhagen central train station. It is touristy, which I try to shy away from because prices are sky high… but, Hereford beef? and I saw the words organic? I was too hangry and needed sustenance… I ran right in just before a torrential downpour hit… and am glad. The restaurant was inviting, wood tables, attentive wait staff. There was a lunch special, burger plate, salad bar for a good price under $ 25 but I saw steak. Ain’t no way I was havin’ a burger. So I went for the steak plate: grilled NY steak, cut a little strange I thought. The plate came in a cast iron plate to keep the temperature and… it was AMAYYYZING tasting, great temperature, medium rare, lots of flavor. It had so much flavor and a nice consistency I didn’t wanna put anything on it. The fries were simply perfect. Crisp, flavorful too and organic too. Not really a heavy French fries person but I ate all the potatoes on my plate. Had the salmon appetizer which was really yummy and fresh but honestly was not necessary because we had so much food. Then comes the AYCE salad bar. The salad bar was small but incredible. Nothing tastier than farm-harvested products : lingonberries, olives fresh dates(never had these yummy) English peas carrots celery danish bacon tomatoes lettuces garbanzos tomatoes I came back another day just for the salad bar. This was my first of many great and unique meals in this great food rich city. Visits: 2 Tip: Don’t tip in Copenhagen unless you are at a high-end(meaning Michelin) restaurant. It’s not customary to tip waiters. I found that out when locals next to us went… we don’t tip in Copenhagen.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, so it’s about time for me to write a review! Let me start out by saying that I’ve never had a bad experience there. I’m not the biggest meat eater on the planet, but I do love me a good steak every once in a while, and Hereford doesn’t disappoint. The meat is of high quality, and they cook it perfectly(for my taste). I highly recommend the Chateaubriand for two, it’s really, really amazing! I also really like their parsley butter, and their fries are spot-on. I’m always so fascinated by their smart carrying systems for the hot plates — so clever! Their starters are also quite enjoyable, especially the risotto with pan-seared scallops and a lemony butter. The prices for the starters — as for the rest — are quite steep, though. Others have mentioned the huge salad bar, but I haven’t actually ever tried it, as I think that 89kr is a bit much for a side salad. But there’s a huge fresh selection. Finally, they used to have one of the best red wines I’ve ever tried, but unfortunately, that’s off the menu now(otherwise that would’ve probably meant the fifth star!). The location is prime, right next to the central station and Tivoli. If you are seated in the back, you can look right into the gardens. Of course that means the place is a tourist hot spot, with prices to match. But since the quality is high, too, I don’t feel like this is a rip-off, and I’ll be coming back here for my steak fix!

We came here for dinner and I was excited to have some steak. For a place specialized in steak, I was definitely not impressed. The meat was a bit too dry, weirdly enough given that I ordered it medium and it was a bit bloody. The fries were good. My friend ordered a salad from the salad bar, and the options there were very small. There was no chicken or turkey or any type of proteins. There were very little carbs. A salad is greens but you do need some additional things on top of it. I thought it was expensive for what it provides. They open late though, which is good. Also, given that they are in a touristy place, next to Tivoli garden, I don’t understand why they don’t have wifi.

Went here for dining week where a pre-planned 3 course meal was 200DKK Pros: — Main course: Steak of beef fillet(about 200g) with baked potato and parsley butter — AMAZING! The beef was nicely done and the butter just melted in your mouth! — Dessert: A Hereford Special Vanilla, rommarinerede raisins, ginger, whipped cream, coffee and sprinkle Caloric Punch — it had a shot of barley at the bottom and together as a whole it was delicious! — Nice atmosphere — Great service Cons: — Appetizer: Marinated salmon with mustard dressing and sourdough bread — I didn’t enjoy it because of the way they smoked the salmon(different from the states); the salmon was still too raw for me — No wifi

Had a steak here. The place came highly recommended but I must say staff and steak let me down. The wine was good though. The place just didn’t live up to what I expected(maybe I expected too much).

This is a branch of a chain of Danish steakhouses. I first sampled one in a hurry at Copenhagen Airport last year, but was very impressed. So when I returned to Copenhagen in September, I was pleased to see another branch located by Tivoli Gardens, close to my hotel. It is a little quirky in that a card is on your table where you write down your order, including how you want your steak cooked. The choice of steaks is impressive, including Kobe beef, but the prices can be high. Denmark is an expensive country compared to the UK so you shouldn’t be too surprised at the cost. I chose to have something from the salad bar and it’s excellent — fantastic choice and all you can eat. Steaks are served with different types of butter, and with chips or baked potato. These are among the best steaks I’ve tasted — always cooked to perfection and delicious. This place is probably best for a special occasion but I love this chain as the quality is very high.
