We went to the Costanera Center. We walked around the fifth floor restaurants twice before we settled on Santabrasa. We do not speak nor read any Spanish, but the menu pictures tell it all and the wait staff was really helpful. You can look at the case and see the various cuts of meat. We chose a rib eye on the bone for 2(32 oz) at around $ 60 plus we added rosemary roasted small potatoes for a slight fee. The steak comes on a sizzling plate and when it came in a little rarer than we like, they just put the edge on the plate and finished cooking it. By far one of the very best steaks we have ever had anywhere and that includes Shula’s, Capital Grille, Morton’s and Ruth’s Chris and many others including our cruise through Argentina where we ate at a Goucho ranch with steak grilled outdoors. The potatoes were perfectly crisp and tasty. For the quality and quantity of food, this was an excellent value. Based on the brochure Santabrasa has several branches but surprisingly the atmosphere in the mall was very pleasant. If you have the thought that a restaurant in a mall cannot possibly be good, this restaurant will change your mind. Go out of your way to get there.
