Vietnam Restaurant

I’ve driven by the restaurant several times before, but I’ve never thought to try the place out till now. I went with my husband here for lunch, and sat down at a table by the window. The server provided us with the menu and a piece of paper and pen to write down our orders.
The husband got his usual phở tai or medium rare beef rice noodle soup ($ 7.50) and I got the phở dac biet ($ 7.50), and also some cha gio or spring rolls ($ 5.99) to share. The noodle soups we got were the small size, but they also offer it in large ($ 8.50) and extra large ($ 8.99).
The spring rolls were probably one of the best we’ve had and came in 6 pieces. My phở dac biet or deluxe beef rice noodle soup had well done beef, medium rare beef, beef balls, and omasa. I like ordering the phở dac biet because it has a little bit of everything in it. It also had some green onions in it as garnish. They also gave us a side plate of bean sprouts, vietnamese basils, thai red chilies, and lime wedges. Broth was flavourful and not too overpowered by star anise.
I’d probably come back to try other things on their menu. And it looks like they also have bun bo hue as well, which I must try. There isn’t many Vietnamese restaurants that have this on their menu, and I haven’t had one that I really liked yet.
