The service was awesome and so was the food. it was family friendly and the bathrooms were very very clean. it’s quiet there’s usually no more than 5 people in the dining area and there is usually no more than 7 or 10 people in the lounge. The dish I would recommend is the Greek style ribs appetizer And it is very filling not to mention delicious and it comes about 5 or 6 ribs and is only $ 19. The dessert I would recommend is the Oreo cheesecake it’s very good it’s a little more on the expensive side because it’s $ 7 but it’s worth it. Two of the stars out of the five stars I’m giving are going to how clean it is the desserts are kept in a display case but there is no flys or other pests in it(unlike Starbucks).

Every year we come into town and stay next door at the Best Western to visit family, and every year, we all meet up at the Pony Corral. The patio GREAT(inside mediocre). The staff is fairly helpful, food is pretty good. Prices pretty good. Live music(Pepe) is a very talented guitarist. All in all, you go there for the patio and that patio atmosphere.

We ate lunch out back in one of the Tiki Hut. Great atmosphere. The soups were awesome!!! All the food was fresh and delicious. We came back for dinner after the first World Cup game. Not packed but very very busy. Again great atmosphere, convent location next to our hotel. After an hour we had to track someone down to ask about our food and refills. The food was very good but had been sitting. Everyone was very apologetic and they made it right. Very new wait staff struggling with an onslaught post game. I would still return for dinner as the food is good and I believe it was an isolated situation.

I went back again on Friday because we love our patio season in Winnipeg! And i was so excited to sit in a tiki hut this time! About half of us had long islands cuz they were on special. It was also happy hour for beer and appetizers. We made it just in time for half off appetizers. I had the chicken quesadilla which I wasn’t a big fan of. Way too many onions and chunks of unripened tomatoes. One person had the«suicide» wings but apparently the heat didn’t live up to its name. Many had the chicken fingers. Service was a bit slow but our server was quite friendly. It was fun to sit in the tiki hut but the table was way too small to hold our glasses and our plates. Many had to eat with plates in our laps. And the hut blocked the warm sun… Probably better to sit here at night time. Best part was the drinks and the company!

I know that the price isn’t that great and if you are out for a cheap dinner: don’t go fur pony. However, they have great deals on Mondays and Tuesdays!!! Unlimited ribs or wing night. The food is great and most of the time perfect. Definitely worth going to. Waitresses are great and are always around. pony corral can be a busy place, so reserve a table.

— Neither waitress or server introduced themselves. — All burgers cooked to well done?! Why not just serve a shoe between two pieces of toast?! + Happy hour is actually Happy 4 hours + Good mix of patrons — GLACIALLY slow service (The guy sitting by himself with an iPhone should get great service, cause you never know what/who he’s connected with.) — flat beer + Very cute servers — frozen fries — fried burger(instead of grilled on their glorious outdoor BBQ)

This place must suck so much, that no one in Winnipeg wants to review it. Well, I’m taking one for the team… I even took pictures! The three of us came here for lunch and were seated upstairs next to the window. We definitely had the view of the«dead body river». So my friend told us how NOONE swims in there and no one will DARE to go in the water. Apparently, she told me that she wouldn’t be surprised if she saw dead bodies floating around, either. Gross and funny at the same time, if you ask me. Anyway, we ordered the following: Chicken Liver( ): Deb loved this plate. I don’t blame her… it was the best tasting one out of the three and I’m not a huge chicken liver fan. The garlic toast it came with was sooo good! Thank you, Mama Bella( )!! Nachos( ): This was gross. You know those Mission Tortilla Rounds( )? Well, they taste exactly the same… EXCEPT… this one plate was STALE!!! They weren’t generous enough with the cheese, either. I wish they had some chopped red onions or something for some color and a crunchy bite. Chicken Breast Dinner( ): Michael seemed to enjoy his steamed veggies and rice pilaf. Again, the garlic toast was a hit! I tried the chicken and it was SUPERDRY. I didn’t bother to try the steamed veggies since they looked like they came out of a Green Giant bag( ). I’m sure the mashed potatoes were also made from flakes. Who knows where the chicken might have come from? Doesn’t it look like it came from Tyson( )? More CONS: — Service was SUPERSLOW. — They claimed to have FREEWI-FI, but they didn’t know the password. REALLY? — Refilling water just took forever. — Getting the bill was even longer. — When we got the check( ), it was about $ 60 and so I gave the girl $ 100. She asked how much tip I wanted to put in. I told her to just bring me back the change and I’ll figure it out. She ended up bringing $ 20s back. This really pissed me off, so I ended up giving her $ 10. The only PROS: — Great choice of music for the restaurant — Friendly servers Food here was not memorable and I will plan to never return when I go back to visit family and my friend. No thanks to this restaurant chain! Next time, I’m going to Earls!

Went to the Pony on Friday to sit on the patio, enjoy some music from Pepe, and have dinner. I had the Jimmy Greek salad with skewers of souvlaki. The Souvlaki was good and the service, excellent. The Greek salad consisted of a large bowl of lettuce with olives, feta and onions. It was mediocre as salads go Nice location on the river and the one man band, Pepe, was entertaining

After 13 hours of traveling and free booze out my you-who. My friends and I were in the mood for more booze and some shredtastic gnar gnar grub. The vegetarian was drunk enough to order a ruben sandwich… mistake. oh. I got the chef’s salad. Meh, not so good. Its hard to fuck one of those up… but they managed. Another got the chicken club sandwich, it was the driest chicken he had ever had in his life and he could taste the chicken’s pain as it lived its short life in manitobian sweat-shop @jhn’s beer smell like ass. Overall i would reccommend it, if you are kooks like us

Nice décor and ambiance, but mediocre food. A good summer venue as it’s right on the river with a dock and patio and fun bar scene.
