Great Sunday brunch. Go hungry cause you will want to try a little of EVERYTHING. So full. Little costly but highly recommend. The staff is also super fun and friendly. We were luckily to get a table for two. Next time would make a reservation if there was more of us.

When ever I’m in Winnipeg visiting my granny, I always make sure to drop by for some German food. If I could rate this higher then a 5 I would because we don’t have any German restaurants in Halifax. I love the ambiance of the place because it makes me feel like I’m in Germany and not Winnipeg. The staff is amazing and the food is out of this World. You must try Gasthaus Guttenberger when in Winnipeg.

While as much as I’d like to rate this place with 5 stars, it’s difficult given I lived in Germany for over 5 years. However, this is by far the best German food I’ve tasted in North America. The ambiance of the place is so quaint and cozy that you feel like you’re truly in a little German village. The lunch buffet was so appropriately priced, yet delicious that I must have made 4 – 5 trips to it. Definitely a positive experience and I would absolutely not mind making a return visit if I am ever in Winnipeg again.

If you’re looking for good homestyle cooking, this is the place to go. The lunch buffet is just amazing with hot entrees, soups, salads and a wide variety of fruits and german desserts. A bit on the pricey side for a buffet, so make sure you come hungry and get there early. It tends to fill up quickly for lunch hour.
