Very good cuts of meat, friendly staff and the prices are very fair.

The Heights Market is like a corner shop, grocery store, café, and butcher combined! I have to agree with a lot of the reviews here, the built-in Windsor Meat Co. is fantastic and there is so much to choose from, including gourmet pre-marinated cuts! I’ll run(okay speed walk) over if we’re running low on something and we’re desperate. The prices are a little higher than the average grocery store although they do stock some very fancy and high quality products along with some basics. It’s usually quiet in here and it feels like a neighbourhood grocery store so it’s nice to pop in every once in a while :)

Terrific meat selection — really such better quality than the big box stores. Butcher will also patiently advise on cooking methods too. His advice on the butterflied rack of lamb was spot on. Friendly staff and patrons. I got great advice from a fellow shopper about how to make lamb shanks and advice about side dishes too. My whole family raves about dinner when I get the meat from The Heights Market. Good selection of everything else you will need to make meals. Haven’t tried the sandwiches but I understand they are very popular.

I just moved into the neighbourhood and The Heights Market has quickly become my go-to corner market. The service is outstanding — I can’t believe how friendly everyone is! Inside you’ll also find Windsor Meat Co. with a ton of different cuts of meat, all with their own homemade marinades. The sandwiches are scrumptious with a price your wallet will enjoy. While The Heights Market isn’t as comprehensive as an average grocery store, it’s definitely handy for picking up last minute things with dinner or to grab milk, bread and crispy produce on the way home from work.

My colleague came back to the office a few weeks ago and offered to me half of his deli sandwich. He tells me that he popped into a new deli/café in Mackenzie Heights and he’s unsure what to order the proprietor suggests a beef sandwich with all of the fixins’. Fresh grainy bread, dijon mustard, mayonnaise, fresh lettuce, thinly sliced and generously portioned beef, pickled cabbage(?)… BESTSANDWICHONTHEWESTSIDE! We popped in again today to grab sandwiches. Both of us still amazed by how delicious and fresh they are. The shop also offers a fine selection of butchery, everyday groceries and a café. I’ll go there every time I am in the area.
