Ohh man! We went here twice! The burgers are fantastic and the beer was exceptional. We loved the service and overall was a really good time. I highly recommend this spot!!!

The Morrissey is awesome. Really good food, really good drinks, really good service. My love and I went on a busy weekend with our baby and his obnoxious stroller and they were far more accommodating than I’d ever anticipate. The manager moved stuff out of the way just to get us to an appropriate table! It was around Halloween, so everything was decorated pretty nicely without being tacky. We both ordered burgers with fries and a pitcher, which was reasonably priced at $ 17. The burger was really, really good. We added bacon and omg the bacon. If it wasn’t so expensive I’d have a plate of it all on it’s own. After the food we got a cocktail each. I got the one that has Shanghai syrup, and upon asking what that was, the waitress laughed and had no clue. Also noted that in the two years she’s been there, no one has asked what shanghai syrup is. I find that strange. Whatever. It was delicious. Left tipsy and full and the bill didn’t break the bank.

I enjoyed coming here two nights in a row. This place does not charge a cover to get in & they have a wide selection of beer. They were also playing good music but not too loud(perfect to still have a conversation).

Good place, especially if you like beer. They have Mirror Pond Ale, which is a very good brew They also have Tullamore Dew, which is a very fine Irish Whiskey It’s got a good atmosphere, any day of the week Unlike any other bar on Granville

This place is great! Darkly lit, amazing furniture and decorations. The food is amazing. You need to try the fries. And to top it off the music is awesome! Never before have I heard Joy Division playing in any public place. I love this place and will definitely come back. Everybody seems really relaxed too.

Located on Granville in Vancouver– lots of younger people hanging around. Came here for some drinks after dinner. Loved the ambiance. Dark and rustic with low lighting mixed throughout the room. We chose to sit at the bar and ordered lots of local beers. I enjoyed the electric unicorn, as well as the summer ale. The bartender was attentive, but not chatty– which I didn’t mind, and offered samples for each beer before he poured us a pint. Greatly appreciated!

We’ve ordered takeout for this place several times after being surprised that it’s pretty great(especially for a bar connected to a hotel chain). The roast chicken dish is great, some interesting flavors. The bar itself is pretty awesome, too. I took a couple friends there on a Friday night in the summer and expected it to be overwhelmed by dumb tourists, but there were lots of good tables still. It’s warm and homey without being divey.

I used this as a writing bar in early evenings. Good staff, good prices, right next to a hotel. Its got a good environment in a good spot of town with great music choice(american punk) Theres a lot to love about this place. Especially the clientele, everyone I met was great…

Total mixed bag. Staff can be kinda rude and unfriendly. They always seem understaffed Food sometimes is yummy. Other times dishes have zero taste But I love the lighting and fireplace. Good for a first date

Definitely one of my favourite bars in Vancouver. For starters it has a great ambience — dark lighting, tons of candlesticks, a fireplace and plush furniture. A little bit gothic, without being ‘goth’. The people here are pretty relaxed and unpretentious, and the servers are friendly. It’s definitely more of a winter/nighttime pub. The food is always good and decent value — they used to do an amazing pork burger but sadly it wasn’t on the menu the last couple of times I visited. The cocktails here are on the pricier side at $ 9.50, but they are delicious. I especially recommend the Bizkvit Mule — worth every burned hole in my wallet. There’s also a good beer selection here, including a good number of rotating taps. Oh and I love the fact you can ask for ‘cheap, decent or good’ wine, depending on your budget. At only $ 4.50 for the cheap wine, this is a great place to have a good and relatively inexpensive night in downtown Vancouver

Great vibe, selection of beers– and their ‘morrissey burger’ pairs excellently with a beer or two! The décor is really interesting, and they play music just at the right volume(not too loud so you can actually talk to people).

A good place to hang out, oddly located pretty close to the Granville street bridge ramp and attached to the side of The Ramada(is it owned by the hotel?). Fun décor, good servers, a decent size rotating craft beer selection(interesting stuff, not Alexander Keith’s trying to pass itself as craft beer!), and food that’s OK. I’m especially a fan of the décor, low lighting, and hodgepodge of furniture. It’s in all honestly not a 4 star location, but 3 stars would be a disservice. The 4th star is cemented by being a Vancouver bar that allows standing room, which is a godsend on busy nights.

Love this place. It’s super dark and they play really rad music. The only thing that sucks is the hotel washroom but nothing they can do about it. They have proper cocktails and great beer. nice place to hide out and get weird.

Was in here last night with some friends; while their specialty cocktails aren’t much to write home about, they had Hoyne’s Dark Matter on draft, which is always a nice surprise. The venue itself was cleaner and brighter than I’d remembered, and our server was friendly and shared a couple laughs with us. Music was great(and wasn’t too loud.) If you need a few drinks on Granville Street and aren’t into the blaring loud overwhelming club scene, this is a great spot.

Sometimes you need a Guinness. In a long narrow room. And you’re stuck on Granville Street. There is nowhere else to go. This is where you go

I came here on a clear Saturday night for a friend’s birthday and was pleasantly surprised with a big group of friends. It doesn’t look that interesting from the outside but the décor is rather impressive. It’s your-grandma’s living room meets a goth goddess. Lots of frames with paintings and the main chandelier with dripping wax that gives this place special character. Our server was very friendly and remembered everyone’s bill considering the large size of our group. We sat the the large table in the middle which made moving and mingling with all the guests that much easier. The beer list is pretty good but of course could use some Belgian additions. I tried the basket of fries which came with a side of spicy mayo and was very delicious! Needless to say I’ll be back here again to try more of the food options and the beer.

Came here for some drinks. Parking is quite horrendous here — try Pacific or the area under the Granville Street Bridge. As expected from most venues, the inside is dark, and the music is too loud for talking. Not sure why they keep doing this. It’s honestly a bit irritating. Special mention goes to the giant mirror in the back — that thing is huge. It honestly makes the place twice as large as it really is. I almost walked into the damn thing, thinking there was a secret back room. Beers here are quite expensive, at $ 16 – 20 for a pitcher. As I did not eat here, I cannot comment on the food.
