Salon 6 Twelve

This salon is amazing. Monet, in particular, does a fantastic job every single time and the other staff are always friendly and happy to be there. If you’re looking for a new hairdresser, definitely give this place a try.

Well you never know the outcome of walking into an unknown salon off the street, and seeing who can simply ‘fit you in for a trim’… big risk IMHO. This time around, being a daredevil paid off. Living on the edge…
There are quite a few options along this stretch of Broadway, I chose this one because they looked busy but not too busy, and could quickly get me in. I wanted a TRIM ONLY, no big cuts to my shoulder length & layered hair that I’m trying to grow out. No problem! My stylist was very knowledgeable, efficient (I hate 3 hour salon trips) and listened– overall she was super professional and friendly. The space is nice, not over the top «modern» like you’re getting a haircut in a gallery– but clean and laid out well enough that people on the street can’t see everything that’s happening inside. Which I prefer, as being on display doesn’t thrill me.
The staff all seemed nice, and are a pretty good looking bunch. A nice bonus was the damn fine clients who were waiting for their appt’s after mine, seriously I’d believe you if you said they were models. Sounds shallow maybe but truthfully I could tell they cared a lot about their appearance, and the fact they were here at 6 Twelve salon (as opposed to say, Space, just down the street) I think says something for this place.
Most important, I will be back and I was impressed enough that fussy me will be doing Colour next time. I recommend giving them a try, my stylist Monet knew her stuff (seriously) and can happily say that she’s actually worthy of the often-​overused title «Senior Stylist” — she knows her stuff!
