This place has been around forever, however, just noticed it today. It’s a cute little grocery store with very friendly staff. The place is small, however, it’s very well organized. Bonus points cause they have churros. A block away from Kingsway and Joyce.

Coming from a Mexican family, this is the only place we shop for our Mexican products. Only place we buy our(real) tortillas. My only complaint is that it’s so far away, as I live in Abbotsford. I’m also so thankful they sell Abuelita chocolate. Good god I love that stuff. Anyway, overall it’s a fantastic place!

Finally! After searching mainstream grocery stores, I found a store that sells authentic ingredients for Mexican recipes! Reasonably priced, with laid back atmosphere… TV screens for World Cup and news from Mexico. Cool!

The best place to get Latin American ingredients in Vancouver. Huge stacks of corn tortillas, fresh Mexican style cheeses, salsas, a huge rack of dried spices(dozens of types of dried chiles, along with comino, Mexican oregano, achiote, and so on), along with Salvadoran, Peruvian, and other Latin American food items. They also have a selection of fresh-made bakery and dessert items. This expat Texan doesn’t buy his Mexican ingredients anywhere else.

What a great find, this store is like the ones I shop at in Mexico. Bought two types of tamales, chicken and a sweet one, a huge bag of corn taco shells, Queso Fresco, refried beans, black beans, arepas, tortilla chips(the good kind) a variety of Mexican soda pops & drinks, cheese cake, flan, pickled jalepenos and salsa. It is Cinco De Mayo today so we had to get all the goodies. Now back to the backyard and my cooler of very chilled Coronas, life is good.

Authentic Latin American grocery store. Doesn’t get much better than this. I’ve been on a quest to find pineapple flavoured gelatin ever since J*LLO stopped making it. You would think that in this great multicultural city, and given how popular pineapple is as a flavour, that it would be readily available. Think. Again. But never fear, Los Guerreros Mexican Food is here and they have pineapple gelatin. YAY! Tins, jars, freezers, coolers full of all manner of Latin American groceries. Authentic and decently priced. Staff is very friendly. This store is amazing.

This great little family run store is one of the better places in Vancouver to find authentic Latin American ingredients. You can get everything from traditional pastries and deserts, to cookies, candies, tortillas and home made tamales(if you are lucky). A bank of freezers along one wall need to be explored to see some of the great things available that day. Like many stores it’s cramped. If you are interrupting a soccer game on the TV they may all be in the back room and you’ll need to get their attention. If you speak Spanish, you’ll hear a lot of interesting banter amongst the staff and clientelle, but the all speak English so don’t worry. Remember any time a store is importing specialty items the prices will be a bit more expensive, but you’ll find some hard to find things here. If you are looking for some authentic Mexican ingredients, try them out.
