This is our go-to restaurant for take out Chinese. Food is consistent and very reasonably priced for the volume you get. Love the sweet sour chicken — very fresh, not soggy like most places. Minced pork & tofu — yummy! It’s a family business and seems like husband/wife run both front & back of house — so when it’s busy — it’s busy! But always worth the wait.

I used to visit this place when they were a little further along Broadway and closer to my work. When they moved I stopped going there, but a couple of my co-workers still visited. So after a few years I decided to venture a bit further down the street and check them out again. It was the exact same staff I remembered from so long ago. My «go-to» dish is the dai ching chicken, so I got that today. One thing I do remember about this dish is it doesn’t travel well, best to eat it fresh in the restaurant, tastes delicious. I seem to remember it being spicier before as well(I like spice). The lunch special was still reasonably priced and more food that I could finish(lots of chicken!). It still came with a side soup, a simple won ton soup with two won tons. This place is a solid 3 star, and I could see if i become a regular here bumping it up to 4… if that happens.

On the hunt for a cheap and filling lunch, I saw the sign here that advertised a $ 5.25 lunch special. Sounded like a decent deal to me. In I went to find a completely empty restaurant and rather surly lady behind the counter. Asking if I could still order lunch(at about 3:30pm), she said of course. But I got the feeling I was messing with their routine. I ordered one of the two daily specials – the ginger pork(the other was beef teriyaki, erm not exactly Chinese). The food arrived in a reasonable 10 minutes and was a heaping plate of rice, veggies, and pork. Nothing special, but I ate the entire thing. The restaurant has been open since 1991 and is definitely showing its age: a musty dining room, stacks of goods in the hall way, tired paint. But for a cheap lunch, this was a decent spot.
