A very upscale furniture place. There were mostly accessories than they were actual furniture. The price is way too steep for anyone’s taste. I am all about stores charging what they want, that is their prerogative as it is mine not to shop there, however, at least have something to show for it. There was nothing that screamed out«individual». To be honest I’ve seen some things similar, not the same, but similar for the fractal of the cost. I was there around the holidays to try and find something unique for my friends for their Christmas tree and couldn’t bare to spend the bling on it. It is good place for window shopping, just not a serious commitment.

Last time I went in a row of ornamental jewellery boxes met me at the entrance. There were loads of picture frames, glassware, table settings, furniture and things for the home in general. Prices were a bit steep, as is the norm for home stores in this section of South Granville. I was looking for a particular ornament that they did not have, but when I inquired the staff member was really helpful and friendly. Another customer even chimed in with some suggestions. So it’s hard to fault the place for service. I always enjoy their window displays, but their stuff is not what I’d want to fill my home with.

World bazaar meets corporate chain. I love the stuff here– but I have mixed feelings about buying things here. Should I really spend money to buy an Indian-looking chair that was made in Beijing? Technically I don’t know for sure it’s supposed to be Indian, and technically I don’t know it was made in China– but that’s what I assume. I greatly enjoy window shopping here and going inside to browse. I have not picked up anything for myself, but I did get some place mats and candle holders here for a house warming gift and a wedding gift. Very neat stuff. But I doubt the authenticity.
